Star Boy Wizkid is set to perform in Mombassa Kenya alongside R&B superstar Chris Brown.

The pair earlier in the year, back in June to be precise collaborated at Chris Brown’s ‘One Hell Of A Nite’ concert in Amsterdam.

In 2013, Chris performed in Nigeria with Wizkid as a surprise act joining him on stage, seeing them perform ‘Azonto’ on stage.

The same year in Ghana, both acts repeated the ‘Azonto’ performance on stage.

April 2015 then saw the pair perform their yet-to-be-released song collaboration ‘African bad girl’. Wizkid this year also featured Chris Brown in his first official single of the Year
‘Shabba’ alongside Trey Songz and French Montana.

This will be Chris Brown’s first trip to Kenya but won’t be first for Wizkid who was rumoured to have been arrested in 2014 by the Kenyan police over weed smoking allegations,

which his manager called out to be untrue.

Chukie Edozien, better known as Lynxxx says he will no longer tolerate twerking ladies in his music videos.

In an interview with BBC Focus on Africa, Lynxxx said that he sang shallow songs in the past to please fans and satisfy a demanding music industry.

“I was unfulfilled with what I was doing content wise. The market wanted the same pool of subject matter which was money, alcohol and women. It gets boring especially for somebody like me that has a background of knowledge.

It was as if I was limiting myself, like, I was giving only five percent of what I know to my audience. I decided to take a break to make sure I know why I am doing music and work
on music that I personally believe in because, music is art and nobody should tell me what to paint”.

When asked if his fans or the industry was responsible for not dominating his creative space, Lynxxx says: “It’s a bit of both because I experimented with songs that were out of the norm, and those songs were not as received as the shallow records. I think that at that point, that was what the listeners were looking to hear and right now, the industry is ready for real music because they have played that for so long that it has worn itself out. I still make hip hop, the difference is that the shallowness and immorality has been taken out. So you are not going to see a music video from me where you have women shaking whatever. It’s not that there won’t be women
but it’s going to be classier.”

In addition to his musical career, Lynxxx is also an entrepreneur. He established several successful businesses prior to his musical career, which include a clothing line called Syndik8 Denim, a digital recording studio called Red Room Studio, a media company called Happy Teddy Media (HTM), and Syndik8 Films

Indigenous rapper, Wale Turner, recently sat down for an interview, where he talked about his music career.

Speaking with TheCable Lifestyle, the 19-year-old, who recently dropped a video for his viral single, ‘No’, shot by Director Q, He said:

Have been dating this girl for five

I was alone at home that afternoon
when Michelle ran into our room in
the campus with a big smile on her
face. I almost thought she had won a
lottery. Out of the excitement and

very good to me. He asked the driver to bring his briefcase, he brought out

and left.

I was tempted to give in to what
Chief had said but I kept worrying
about Michelle. One night I became
curious and decide to check one of
the rooms in the flat that was always
kept open. There was a wardrobe inside the room.

Still out of curiosity, I forced the
wardrobe open and I shouted. There
was my friend sitting on a stool. Her
eyes fixed in a daze with a pot on
her head.

Her body seem glued to the stool.
Was she dead? She was not moving.I
shout Jesus and ran out of the house.
How could chief have killed my friend
in the same house without my
knowledge?

Some weeks after, Michell was
reported missing. I assisted the police
to locate the house. On getting there,
the address had changed. The new
occupants said there was never a
chief there and threatened the police for embarrassing them. But I was sure
of what I saw. What had happened.

Given the position I met my friend, I
am very convinced that Chief used
her for rituals. A search of the house
did not produce anything.I am still in
shock.

That is why I have become a born
again Christian in memory of my
friend.
