Also environmentally Lagos is almost at sea level, which means a slight rise in Ocean levels impact Lagos negatively. I think Lagos needs to invest in flood pumps and flood gates. Cities like Amsterdam and New York have them and it limits the rains to rare flash floods that is when the rains are very heavy due to hurricane or when the rains are cyclonic.

Lagos being a metropolis does not necessitiate sand filling, Lagos is expanding becos there are more failed state in Nigeria not basically because Lagos is a metropolis

i think i agree with your last submissions, lagos needs to do more than just drainages, other counter measures will go a long way

Lagos is a misplace city. The government of Lagos are running it as if they are in a village. Oshodi and Iyana-Oworo was flooded this morning.

The island is the worst. Government presence there is 20%. Most of the inner road built from Lekki Phase downward are done by the residents living in that axis. Most time which are poorly done due to meager finance and hiring engineers who doesn't understand what it takes to build a road in that environment.

Will I blame them? NO! Afterall the local government of eti-osa is death. In short local government has been rendered useless by state government.

Lagos used to be a model city but from what I can see I do not wish any state to copy Lagos kind of city where there is no street light, no pipe-borne water (Water Corporation is dead, and then still dey collect salaries), public transport is a mess with rickety buses meant for the museum playing the road, tout is everywhere including highbrow places, no visible road sign, no national park or green belt, no trees just concrete everywhere you turn to, etc too many to mention.

It just a mess. You can't even use most of the pedestrian bridges in the state because you are either being scared of being robbed or you find shit (Faeces), everywhere just dey smell. Haba nah. The government should do something. We are tired.

God will punish anyone that will ask me to leave the state because I complained. Don't you like good things. Don't you want the state to be well runn and balance other than this messed we find ourselves. No one is more lagosian than anyone here. It's because we want better we keep talking till it gets to the right quarters to do more. We all want a better Lagos.

where ever you came from, If it was better than Lagos you won't have left the place lagos is just one state if WE ALL want Lagos to be better, then what happens to your state of origin

If you have bought it and have started driving it, what's the fuel consumption like? What's the engine size? Is it the same 2.4L engine that is in previous generation?

I drive an 08 TSX. I only get good mileage on the highway. But city drive, hmmm. You must also make sure the Air/fuel sensor is good. Mine is bad. I have bought 2 different sensors and none have erased that check engine light. I believe that's what's making my city drive have a bit high fuel consumption.

As for e-hailing, I used it briefly in 2022. Only on weekends. Then subsidy has not been removed and the earning was a bit fair. But since Jan 2023, its been strictly a personal car.

Not yet, just considering it as an option,
