RomanceRe: What Is The Right Age To Get Married? by IB7(f): 9:08pm On Jan 07, 2006
The right age is whenever both sexes have accomplished their economical stability.  And both are matured enough; at least 27 for the lady and 30 for the male.

Why does NIGERIA have timetable and why does NIGERIA put too much emphasis on MARRIAGE? .... should be a topic.

I.B.
CultureWhat Does 'Iyawo' Mean? by IB7(op): 8:50pm On Jan 07, 2006
This topic is directed to the yoruba folks on this forum and of course all the nigerians.

What does IYAWO mean?

PoliticsRe: What Is The Nigeria of Your Dreams Like? by IB7(f): 9:49pm On Jan 03, 2006
The nigeria of my dreams?  Alright, here we go....  please keep in mind it's just my dreams so chances are very slim for my dream to become reality.

The south-south are oppress, especially the river canal people.   Divide the country in the following:

South-south

Hausa/yoruba ~ they are oriented people ....  meant in a positive way

Igbos

I really careless how they divide the country as long as the south-south ~ niger delta people are separated from the rest of nigera.

PoliticsRe: South Leaders Threaten to Boycott 2007 Polls by IB7(f): 9:33pm On Jan 03, 2006
ijebuman, you know the natural resource in question has been there for ages.  Your question about "what happens next when the oil runs out," I believe should be directed to your present Federal Government of Nigeria.  They sure don't mind allocating small changes to the producing states and yet they sell tons of barrels of oil everyday.  I don't mind only if and only the power is distributed evenly amongst all groups of people in Nigera.

You know I can't provide you list of candidates and thx a bunch for putting me on the spot.  The right candidates are all over the south-south.   Basically, my point is electing someone {if given the chance to run for president} from south-south.  This is not the first time the south-south has to struggle for the presidency.

With regards, your statement for me to provide list of qualified candidates is absurd.   You gotta give the folks the chance to voice their opinions in nigeria.  The current government is not doing so.   In America, candidates are everywhere just like in the south-south but the only difference is:  In America, candidates are given the freedom and opportunity unlike Nigeria, the president and the north does not even want to hear someone from the south-south becoming the president.  Nigeria belongs to all of us not just the hausa or yoruba.

PoliticsRe: South Leaders Threaten to Boycott 2007 Polls by IB7(f): 8:46pm On Jan 03, 2006
Boycotting the 2007 election is the right thing to do if there won't be any killings and violent riots.  The south-south HAVE to produce the next president of Nigeria.
Again, it's just my point of view...  nigeria gets her #1 revenue from the natural "oil" the south-south/delta produces each year.  Just for courtesy purpose and bcuz we are one nigeria, I agreed that the next president has to come from the south-south.  It is not only fair but it won't make it look at if the south-south is under oppression and power will be distributed evenly amongst the whole of nigeria

If the north doesn't want to compromise then I am all for dividing nigeria.  Let the south-south controls her natural resources and rules herself.

RomanceRe: Fastest Way to Get Over Heartbreak? by IB7(f): 8:16pm On Jan 03, 2006
Gezz guys.....  this is the advice I have been waiting for.   But didn't know how to ask the question.   Thx angela_k.   I definitely will take into account everything you guys have stated.  Except talking to friends because I ain't got none....  looking for good positive friends with goals in life.  I am so depress at the moment and the only way I try to get over my heartbreak is spend more time on this forum which really doesn't help because most nites am up crying my eyes out.  And keep in mind, I was the one who initiated the separtion. {cheating non-stop, too many apologizes, too much drama}.

Am thinking about travelling too.  Where are the best places to visit?  Gezz, I'll visit you if you like......  I just gotta get out of here besides work and school is the 2 things that keeps me & my mind occupied most of the time. On x-mas eve & new's eve, my boss had to begged me to go home cuz I didn't wanna.  If y'all have any good people around here please ask 'em to call and chill with me.....

Thx a bunch guys.

FamilyRe: What's your Ideal Family Size? by IB7(f): 4:55pm On Jan 01, 2006
I really love this topic.  I guess caused I have always been a dreamer and in my fantasy world where everything is perfect.  I would love a family of 6.  Mom / Dad and of course 4 kids.  Don't know so much about my dream since am now very skeptical about relationships and never like the idea of marriage because most people especially nigerians put too much emphasis on it.   And too much stereotype about nigerian females and getting married.
FamilyRe: I Can't Get On Well With My Mother by IB7(f): 4:43pm On Jan 01, 2006
Ib, I must congratulate you and your mother.  I wished I could talk to my mom in that level, although we are cool now but there is still some kind of line we are both uncomfortable with.  Those lines u mentioned which I believe every mom/daughter should have.  Talking about things that really matter to us. I mean, I just don't call my mom up and talk to her about things that bothers me.

Nairaland GeneralRe: What is Your New Year Resolution? by IB7(f): 3:54pm On Jan 01, 2006
loveday, I really appreciate your post in reference to my new year resolution.  But I believe when the heart is broken.... it's broken.  It's easier said than done.  I never knew what it feels like to be heart broken until 2005.  With regards and admiration, I need time to heal if I ever will.  I don't believe in "Prince charming" either ~ sorry but a lot of guys/prince charming have already tried to make a move and I immediately put a stop sign before they even said "hello" because all I see in 'em from a distance is the dude I was with for 6 years ~ I don't like the phrase "ex"  I guess because I hate divorce, separation, splits and break-ups.  My heart is very tender, I guess you can already tell from my words.

Once again, thx a bunch for your concerns.  But my separation has caused me to have preferences in guys although, I know all guys are the same.  Having preferences in guys..... I believe when my heart do heal, I will be able to open it again, maybe.

Regards,
IB
RomanceRe: Professional Bachelor by IB7(f): 1:45am On Dec 31, 2005
paddy_lo, it will be o.k.  I just ended my relationship too.  No commitment for me either because I won't be involved in any for a while, besides it has caused me not to believe in commitments.   I need time to heal and time for myself and that is what you need.  Searching for that someone is not the best thing to do.  I believe it will come to you.  {although, I don't believe in that either}

It hurts I know but you gotta take care of yourself first.  It's easier said than done, I know.
