PoliticsWhy A Southern Candidate Can Easily Defeat The North In 2023 by IBBG(op): 8:40am On May 13, 2022
The myth that if northerner competes with a southerner for presidency the northerner will win easily is simply a myth and nothing more. This myth is being circulated now to make the two major political parties cede their ticket to the North. If for nothing atleast the GEJ and Buhari presidency debunk that myth that you need the core northerners to be president.
Prior to GEJ presidency when contested and won. He won majorly in the South and North Central region, the core North only voted Buhari. Buhari was only able to defeat GEJ when the North Central and South West flipped to his side.
As it stands presently any party that cedes it's presidential ticket to the North is losing scandalously to a Southerner, as the southerner will bank on vote from the south and North Central who have suffered much massacre from the core North in the name of religion.
Note: The Moslem North have had their turn. Anything short of a Christian south president is totally unacceptable.

Paid tinubu urchins have created a thread and informed their members on Whatsapp to full it with their diatribes.

My son don't own a car does not mean my son don't drive a car I bought in my own name.

Please if you are reading this post, resist the temptation to reply tinubu urchins posts because they thrive on attention. When they can't get that, they simply fissle out.

Remember, they are paid to make these comments and have no interest to tow the path of reasonable discussion
I saw through what you said. These guys slamming Obi in the first are just looking for mud to sling at him to see whether it will stick since they know their candidate lacks any modicum of integrity to begin with. They forget the context of his statement and just isolated a particular to exhibit their gullibility

The way you Yorubas often overestimate your political worth and relevance in this country is quite nauseating and pitiable.

Una go just sidon for one stuffy corner dey type nonsense about how Tinubu has the entire votes of the Southern region in his pockets as if the old man has some magic wand he'll use to hypnotize the millions of voters in the South South and South East.

I am a Cross Riverian and very well travelled across the various Nigerian regions and I can tell you for free that your Tinubu's appeal and acceptability ends within the confines of your South West, and that's not even in totality.

If you people are so keen on projecting one of your thieving ancestors for the top job, do so within the limits of sanity and reason and stop making stupendous assumptions of the feelings and yearnings of people of other regions. Tinubu has long deified himself as the owner of Lagos and the rest of the South are not particularly keen on being pocketed by one greedy octogenarian.

Word on the street is the average South South man will rather vote to keep power in the North than have Bola Tinubu as President. E for even make more sense if you lots were being this vocal and literally violent if you were promoting the candidacy of Osinbajo.

For some extant reason you Yorubas think yourselves better than the rest of the South and that repulsive notion would be your greatest undoing.
I'm based in cross river state. What you said about tinubu is the truth. An osinbajo or amaechi will sweep the south vote. But anything tinubu, means power stays in the North via PDP
PoliticsRe: Ahmad Lawan: Court Can't Stop Amendment Of Signed Electoral Act by IBBG(m): 8:57pm On Mar 08, 2022
chinyce:
If this Electoral Law can be Amended by just cancelling and rewriting a portion of the clause, just because the President requested for it. Then this same Style of Amendment will be applied to just any other existing law that does not suit who ever is in Power.

Chaos and Anachy brewing.

To amend a law the bill must pass through the Amendment process, in the National Assembly, this is what the Court ruled. The Judiciary is not interfering in the Affairs of the Legislature.

This is not a violation of Principle of Speration of Powers. Rather, the Judiciary is upholding the Principle of Check and Balances. Which is Constitutional. You don't amend a Passed law without the Bill going through the normal Process of Legislative hearing and vote.

These Legislators are Just Shameful Clowns.
God bless you for this submission. Most nairalanders don't read and comprehend before jumping to comment. They are busy abusing the judge. If the law ought to be amended then it must pass the normal due process of amendment in the house. That's what judgement stipulates.

What about his conversion rate? Sadiq is just too wasteful. I agree that his positioning is superb, but he isn't clinical enough so far. Try compare our first two matches with this one, then you will see the difference between these two strikers. Mind you, Eguavoen prefer to start Awoniyi in important matches for a reason.
This is his first full start. And he still scored a goal. I've not seen anything exceptional about Awoniyi display so far. His ball control is terrible and Awoniyi misses chances as well. Put Sadiq in that first team he will do better than Awoniyi I bet you.

Ebuehi—-overrated. He should never play our important match
Oyenkuru——-I see why he was not invited in previous camping. The guy is below average
Iwobi——- should not start any important match. He is not in form
Moses——- now very confident and played very well. He should try not be selfish
Olayinka——- was lost. Umar is fall better. Umar can hold the ball and allow other strikers to position. Plus he was always falling back to get ball
Ndah——- always passing backward, nothing special
you sabi ball. Majority of people on Twitter na just vibes. Dem no understand ball at all. They feel once a striker just scores that's it. From what I've watched of Sadiq,I think he is technically better than awoniyi. His ball control is better than awoniyi

contigiency:
My brother, pair Osibanjo with prof. Zulum of borno state, then know that APC would have won the election before 12 noon of the Election Day.
hmmmm, against a northern candidate in PDP it will not be that easy o. His vote will split in SS/SE like wise core north and NC. The zone he will win landslide is SW. But an amaechi will sweep SS SE SW and probably split NC. It's far easier for APC to defeat PDP with an amaechi.

bjdon:
Amachi is definitely a dark horse. From APC I think its between him and Osinbajo
exactly my thought it's between him and Osinbanjo. however if it goes to amaechi it means APC will win 2023 with a landslide, because they have removed PDP Strong base being the SS/SE. NC will go to amaechi while the core north will split because he has focused his projects as transport minister there. An Osinbanjo against a northerner in the PDP then PDP stands a chance but an amaechi against a northerner in the PDP then it's game over for the PDP
PoliticsRe: 2023: Amaechi Will Emerge Nigeria's President by IBBG(m): 5:05pm On Jan 09, 2022
If this were to happen it means SW has missed out o. It will be fatal blow to PDP chances of retaining power. Because PDP Strong base is in the south and if they project a northerner then the entire SS/SE will vote APC. SW will be in a limbo whether to support him or pull out. Considering if they pull out it will not do them much good as they can't win a presidential election if they float a new party. Rather they will stay put and support him. NC will support him because of banditry. So an amaechi presidency can easily scale through even more than a tinubu's own.
Now I understand why amaechi is championing building rail ways in the north
SportsAgain, Bonfrere ‘begs’ For Eagles’ Job by IBBG(op): 5:00pm On Nov 20, 2021
‘I Will Work With Amokachi, Amuneke’

Shortly after Sunday Oliseh ‘abandoned’ the Super Eagles job in 2016, Dutchman, Jo Bonfrere, wrote a letter signifying that he was ‘the right man to return Nigeria to the summit of African football. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ignored him. With the pressure now mounting on the NFF to sack coach Gernot Rohr over the team’s poor performance in the race to Qatar 2022 World Cup, Bonfrere, has again, dispatched another letter to Nigeria, stating that he has the magic wand to turn things around.

“I can come on a rescue mission to resurrect the Super Eagles,” it was stated in the latter, which allegedly emanated from Jo Bonfrere on Thursday night.

“It doesn’t take up to two months to create a formidable team and make a winning pattern,” he said.
Bonfrere led the Super Eagles to the African Nations Cup in 2000, where Nigeria lost in the final to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun in Lagos. He was sacked in 2001 after losing a World Cup qualifier in Sierra Leone.

Before then, Bonfrere was assistant coach to Clemens Westerhof between 1990 and 1994. He led Nigeria’s U-23 team to win gold at Atlanta ‘96 Olympics.

About 20 years after his sack from the Super Eagles, Bonfrere feels no one has done what he achieved. “I will be happy to have Daniel Amokachi or Emmanuel Amuneke to be part of my technical crew,” he said. “I will bring licensed and experienced coaches in addition to the mentioned names to be part of the team to train the players in their movement, fitness, positions and abilities. After this is executed, the whole of Nigeria will be watching the national team play while drinking champagne because it is guaranteed that Nigeria is winning the match.”

Bonfrere stated that the current Super Eagles team has no effective formation, and the players don’t understand themselves.

“The players can’t hold the ball to themselves for up to three seconds. I am not trying to castigate my colleague (Gernot Rohr), but his knowledge needs to be upgraded to the new modern football. In this era, the Super Eagles have to have a pattern. When I was the coach, it is guaranteed my players score a goal and more with respect to the kind of formation and pattern I use. “There was no such thing as a tough team for Nigeria then. Rather, it was Nigeria who was the tough team, and I remember in 2002 Ghana versus Nigeria everyone could see the impact. Also, when Senegal was leading Nigeria by a goal, I brought in Julius Aghahowa and we were able to turn the scoreline against Senegal. In the U-23 national team, we played against and won teams who Nigeria Super Eagles today see as threats like Egypt, Senegal, Cameroon, etc.

“It was so embarrassing to see Central Africa Republic, a country that doesn’t have its own stadium, to come to Nigeria and win the Super Eagles. The kind of pattern the coach use matters a lot.

“For instance, in the last game against Cape Verde, the Super Eagles played the match like they were away. With the quality players present on that day for Nigeria, it was so sad the coach could not make good use of them,” Bonfrere stated.

Why is virtually everyone jumping into conclusion that he wasn't paying his rent thats why he was given quit notice. Nigerians and jumping into conclusion. Have you thought of thr ordeals he must have gone through the hands of the landlord to warrant him doing this. Some callous landlord need to shown that live doesn't revolve round their piece of property
