He should start with himself first |
What is FG business with community policing. Empower the states to carry out community policing |
Similar thing here in calabar |
Is it only within lagos? Hepota: |

I'm for osinbanjo o. All this tinubu won't fly. For once lets have a celebral president who is not your typical politician |
Government should do the needful. Why make what they demand for look like rocket science. |
ashafson:. Lol i'm just stating the obvious. Me i don remove mind this week. FTI salary always comes either on the 1st or 2nd of the month. Since this one is falling on a public holiday, and weekend as well, by extrapolation it will be next week, going by precedence. |
FTI always receiving last. So may be next week tuesday. |
Any update |
A good one here. Please more of this |
All states will be viable when each state collects their VAT. VAT is consumption tax. So each time you consume a value added product, you pay VAT. every state in Nigeria has population who consume product as a result VAT will be generated. As it is, FIRS is inefficient in collecting VAT as they so many areas that have been brought into the VAT net. States are better placed to explore these if they collect VAT themselves. |
If you read through the article. Its making sense |
Nigeria is pathetic |
We no want federal character, we want restructuring. |
I'm from Cross river. South south will vote in the interest of the south come 2023. #No to northern rule in 2023! |
Aligning with the church ahead of 2023. Is a good one. If given the ticket, i'm sure CAN will mobilize support for him |
Lol. If it is against Osibanjo i'll pick Osibanjo, but if it is against tinubu then i'll pick saraki. |
I'm pro PDP from Cross River State. If PDP gives the presidential ticket to the north and APC gives theirs to the south, whether south west or anyone in the south. I'm voting APC for president. Enough of the fulani madness. Yes i'm rooting for a southern presidency. Because it will be more beneficial to the country than another fulani taking reins. I'm not interested in primordial sentiments of GEJ betrayal, that is in the past. The future is what matters. If Southwest is in a better position to wrestle power from the north, then i'm aligning with SW. Mind you my preferred candidate in APC is Osibanjo. For PDP is Wike. |
Racoon:If not for what you highlighted that is working against the north, the north should be the richest or among the richest states in Nigeria. The north has no buisness with poverty. They don't have to face environmetal pollution that the south is grippling with due to oil exploration that is destroying the ecological habitat of the south. Mechanized farming with industries to process those farm produced to finished or semi finished goods for both local and international consumption should be the way to go. These things are simple economics taught in secondary schools but our politicians makes it look like rocket science. I'll choose agriculture over oil any time anyday because of the environmental impacts of oil. |
The north should not be afraid of states controlling VAT because it will turn around to favour them more than what FIRS is presenting doing. They may end up getting more revenue than what is being allocated to them from the federation account. They have the population and the land mass, this should translate into more revenue for them |
This is quite revealing and as well as educating. Ignorance is indeed a form of bondage. Yet some persons on this platform were busy spreading their ignorance as regards VAT. The supreme court will be destroying the last thread of integrity it possess as the last bastion of democracy if it rules otherwise in this case. Infact all the 36 states in the federation should excited at the prospects of controlling their VAT because it now puts the power to generate more revenue and spend it as they see it more appropriate in their hands. Based on this write up, there is no state in Nigeria that will be broke if it controls its VAT. Any state governor that thinks otherwise is just ignorant or deliberately trying to be wicked by not wanting to discharge their duties. States with higher population should even be rejoicing because more population translates into more consumption which implies more revenue. Just like the writer alluded, states controlling VAT will bring about more employment as more hands will be employed across the states for effective collection of VAT not what we have presently where FIRS is an exclusive preserve and sacrosanct for the elites and their children. Decentralization is the way forward for development in this country. After VAT the next target is electricity |
PDP will lose 2023 if it zones it to the north. I wouldn't mind a Wike contesting for presidency. |
DenreleDave:you are a fool |
Believe Nigeria statistics at your own peril |
We should suffer while the politicians continue to flex with our common wealth |
Lol. Na to collect their loan o. |
Lol. All this one na for 13% derivation and PIB that was passed into law o. The scam is real. Lol |
Good. E remain ben ayade |
Someone i can vote for in APC eveb though i'm pro PDP. Better than tinubu. |
Norwichsailor:. You've just said my mind. I'm pro PDP, but if PDP fields a northerner, and APC fields a Southerner in 2023, then i'm voting APC for presidency. Like you said sothern interest must come first before party, just like the north has proven to us. |
