I'm not taking about Abj, i was in the North East during 2011/2015 elections. If you have been to the interior parts of the North during elections, i will understand better, thank you.
I live in the north central.

Things have really changed my brother. People are going to vote based on their economic conditions. Those who have been looting in this govts would love to vote APC but others are cooking something very hot for them.

In our own case.

I don't think so.

Nigeria is the most tribalistic country on earth take it or leave.

In 2014,Buhari was declared the winner of the election I saw some guys celebrating recklessly to the point where one of them smash his skull from a bike and died instantly.

Same thing happened around the airport road, one fell from the bridge and had his head smash on the culvert and he died also.

Another one happened around Mararaba, that is, the boundary between Abuja and Nasarawa and many died reckless death.

My points is,how i wish they were alive to see their darling Buhari and his performance today, may be many of them would have retreated.

And one of them trekked from a long distance just to celebrate Buhari...I read some where that he was almost amputated not until he was admitted to the hospital.

Today,Buhari and Jonathan are best of friends.

Nigeria will definitely be great when people like u would have gone to the grave for being a tribalist.

No nation can prosper with high levl of tribalism and hate. And God will some day purge out evil men like u so as to create a better place for others to leave without pointing fingers.

May he also Judge u according to your heart and evil intentions against your fellow Country men and women.

Any problem that has to do with land aside from mere land grabbers, fight for your land through the legal means, but if involves two village families...run for your life, juju is sure to take place.

This woman needs to be consoled and patted.
For 6 years u have been taking care of him should have even made him to respect the union the more.

Sorry madam and respect the apology from his brother.

When lending money to people. Write down this.

Have an agreement with them.
When to pay back the money should be stated there.
Don't give cash,make a transfer.
Let it be dated.
Have at least two witnesses.

Let the two witnesses sign in the book.
Do not take interest so as not be termed an illegal money lender.

If he doesn't pay u then go to the police yourself and report

Treasury bill or Real estate....
If u want to invest in treasury bill,u could do so by visiting your bank. Pls,do not fall for cheap rates at the secondary market.

It is good to compare rates out there especially from different banks.

And for real estate...it is your location that matters most.

Now let’s look at another investment.
Real estate - a very good investment that adjust with inflation perfectly.
I will use my personal experience.
I bought a land in the bush at sagamu for 300k per plot in 2013 (I mean bush with so many monkeys. I was discouraged when buying it but my mum insisted I get it).
Sold it in 2020 for 1.5m.
In 7 years, 400% profit aside my capital.
In 7 years, nigeria inflation would have been 100%.
Which means it will take me 600k in 2020 to buy a goods I bought in 2013 at 300k but now have made 1.5m in 7 years minus 600k 2020 face value plus inflation.
So I got a 900k profit in 7 years from 300k.
So if have invested 1m into the land for 3 plots just like you did to bonds and bills, in 7 years, I will make a profit of 3m from 1m while you have not made any tangible thing in bonds.

Thanks
Both of us have same appetite for business if I am not mistaken.
In 2017,I saw an advert on jiji of a land close to the area I had a land along the airport road Abuja. So,I decided to call the owner who happened to be lawyer and I made a request to help further advertise the land, she agreed.

So we schedule to visit the plot, low and behold the land shared fence with my land. After some discussion with my wife,I decided to buy the plot for 2.1million and resold it around 4th of April this year and I made an extra 1.6million on it.

There was another one I bought last year, for 5million naira is currently going for 12million naira as we speak now.

Property gives more money than tbills and others but where your money is not enough to buy landed properties, one has to settle for what he or she can afford.

emmaodet:
But the problem in investing in all these bonds, treasure bills etc is that the interest is below inflation rate. So technically, it is not a good investment.
For example - Present Nigeria inflation rate is staggeringly at 20% per annum but let just make it 15% for argument sake while treasure bills and bonds average interest rate is at 10-12%.
What does this mean?

At 12% interest rate on your bills, if you invest 1m in 2022, it will be roughly 3m by 2023 (10 years after) provided you don’t touch the profit and do a rollover.

At 15% inflation rate per annum, if you have 1m, it means every year a 1m is getting weaker by 150k (15% of 1m).
In other words, what 1m will purchase in 2022, you will have to purchase it with 1,150,000 naira or get a goods worth 850k instead of 1m since you can’t add extra 150k to get the complete goods you would have bought with 1m last year.
So, how many years will it take to render 1m useless?
It will be 1,000,000/150,000 (15% per year) equal to 7 years.
So in 7 years, what you can buy with 1m, you will have to buy with 2m because there has been a 100% inflation rate in 7 years.
So in 2023, you will need 2.5m to buy what you bought with 1m in 2022 and you also invested another 1m in 2022 into treasure which matured in 2023 to give you 3m
If you do your plus or minus, you have made a profit of 500k over 10 years without touching a dime. A meagre 50k per year from 1m or 5% profit per year.
This is not investment
I agree with u totally but another thing is,can u invest your money in real estate...especially in an area where property value increase geometrically?
If u live in Abuja I could suggest such areas for u.

Sometimes the value of money gets eroded with time and because of that, one may not have a choice but to invest his or her money in the existing portfolios.
Politics › Why Governor Lalong May Not Deliver Plateau For Tinubu by ibechris(op):
Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Anti-Corruption, Dachung Musa Bagos, has declared that Governor Simon Lalong will not be able to deliver Plateau State for All Progressives Congress (APC) next year.

The lawmaker said the governor, who doubles as Director General of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, would find winning the state a herculean task because, according to him, youths in the state have decided that all political parties must labour for votes.

Speaking in Abuja yesterday, Bagos, who represents Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency at the lower legislative chamber, submitted: “I want to let you know that the people of Plateau are waiting for February 25, 2023 to pass their verdict on Governor Lalong and his presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“I can assure you that every candidate will get votes according to his performance. The governor has failed Plateau people in all areas since 2015. That is why he cannot deliver Plateau State to the APC and its presidential candidate. Being a DG will not change the decision of the youths and Plateau electorate.”

He continued: “Apart from the poor performance of the APC in both Plateau and the national level, the youths are now, more than ever, ready to take back their country.

“Remember, the youths constitute more than 60 per cent of the electorate, and by the way, how can a party that has kept our youths, the students, at home for more than half a year get votes from the same people, who have been denied their right to education, the same group of Nigerians, who have no jobs, people who are pauperised, how can they vote for the APC?

“How can the youths, whose parents and relatives, have been killed by terrorists and bandits, who have been displaced, give their votes again to failed promises? This is simply impossible.”

While weighing chances of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the lawmaker acknowledged the molibisation efforts of the youths for the former Anambra State governor,

“Honestly, even my party, the PDP, has a lot of work to do to convince the youthful voters because the youths are working tirelessly for any possible option, not party.

“I believe that after careful analysis and strategic considerations, the youths will make the right choice, not based on emotions, but on logical consideration of the different voting blocs in the country,” he added.
