He is completely useless to the formation and pressing requirements of the team if all he is going to do is stand in the hole and not even press.

A goalscoring midfielder never makes excuses.

Frank Lampard never played as an AM in a 4-2-3-1 but in a 4-3-3. When you are a goalscoring midfielder in a 4-3-3, you need no excuses, it will be evident in the runs you make and the goals you score, and your teammates will start adjusting to cover you when you make those runs.

Havertz should do what Lampard did and stop asking for 4-2-3-1 so he can be a passenger.

Manure also have a goal machine in Fernandes so they accomodate him there, however I will hardly call them successful.

Man City only started 4-2-3-1 this season after Silva's departure and they sück compared to last season. Barca also only started and they equally sück, fighting mid-table in LaLiga.

If we wanted to go back to redundant formation with a low scoring AM, we would have asked Arsenal to give us Ozil for free. Tell your boy Havertz to show us small ray of light before we can rip up formation to a formation we haven't really played since 15/16 to accommodate him.

Nobody said that havertz can play DM, he isn't a physical player and 4 2 3 1 isn't redundant, 4 3 3 is redundant

Havertz first season he played DM, second season he played CM.

4-2-3-1 is redundant except you have an exceptionally high scoring AM. Ozil, Mata, Oscar, Dele Alli and co are redundant for that reason.

Havertz needs to show us something in CM before we consider him for a redundant formation. We don't want to be like Manure that will be arguing for 4 years about Pogbas best position only to find out he has irredeemable flaws wherever you play him.

The reason we didn't complain about Havertz price tag is that we were told he can play CM and AM, has played DM and was currently playing RW and even CF.

You must be watching the back of your TV. We are currently playing 4-3-3 with both as no 8s yet Mount is more present in both defensive and offensive situations cos he has stamina to get there unlike Havertz who will just be strolling and giving the ball away with lackadaisical play.

Never has Havertz been played behind Mount. Even when we played 4--2-3-1 earlier in the season, Jorginho and Kante played pivot for Havertz to play AM.

Funny how our form picked up as soon as Havertz developed Covid and how our form declined as soon as he returned.

Do u guys realise he's actually playing Kai out of position to accommodate Mount. How can u insist on playing a guy who's only had 2 assists in 70 bloody games ( 1 of which was even a corner ) as a 10 while playing Kai as an 8.

No one else in that team gets into the pocket of space Kai gets into or has his creativity. Fine he's been bad since coming back from the virus (infact he had a really bad experience with Covid according to the tabloids so I'm not really worried for him in the long term) he's obviously not gonna get better when u play him out of position.

There has really been a good improvement in our play from the way we played in the beginning of the season. The players are getting better day by day.

What I think is happening now is just fatigue for playing in the ucl (other ucl teams are not left out.), injuries and lack of title winning mentality.

We also need some individual brilliance from some players to win some matches, which every winning team always have. Only if Pulisic could stay injury free, at least we have an individual that can win us matches.

You are right. I am talking specifically the last 30 minutes of the Wolves game. We got desperate and overcommitted with Chilwell and James often out of position, leaving Zouma to deal with too many dangerous one-on-ones with Neto and Podence.

Like I said, when the game turns to a basketball match, the team with more inform wingers wins because then it's about who can dribble better in one-on-one situations. Whilst we were flying forward and leaving Zouma and Thiago with one-on-ones, notice Wolves kept their back three and Marcal in position at all times. When they finally scored the second goal, it's because James had got over adventurous and left Zouma one-on-one with Neto.
