Spent my evening reading about George Soros and Steve Bannon https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Soros https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Bannon It is fair to say that any black man who does not admire George Soros is a complete fool, and any black man who joins hands with the ideas espoused by Steve Bannon and Trump is the same. One is a highly intelligent humanist with a passion for people while the Steve Bannons (Shapiros, Milos, Papadopoulos) and most of Trump's friends on the far-right are grifters with unpalatable pasts

Zabiboy:lol. It's early days. Most of the top players are still catching up cos a lot of newbies struck lucky with just Son, Kane and Vardy. What's your past history in the game like? |
Zabiboy:Well the skill is in knowing that Villa have kept clean sheet in every away game this season bar one, and conceded in every home game bar one. If you knew this you wouldn't be lamenting about luck. Another lack of skill is keeping a £5m defender from Villa in your team this long when Konsa at £4.5m has more goal threat and the same £5m could have gotten you a way into Spurs and Chelsea defenders with more clean sheet and assist potential like James and Aurier |
iamoyindamola:We don't know nothing about Carling Cup over here. Have you made Playoffs since your promotion? You are like the Brighton of our league, making noise about what you did in lower league ![]() |
iamoyindamola:I already decided to throw away this gameweek with a 12 point hit. I feel remorse for 2 seasons ago when I beat you in GW 34 then threw the match against your rival in GW35 by taking hits to set my team up for the playoffs. That denied you your first ever playoff qualification. As someone who has made playoff every year for 9 years, bar one, made 5 finals and won 4, I figure this year is the year to show you some grace. With your paltry overall points, yet still top of the H2H league, if I throw you this 3 points now, you just might be able to sneak into playoffs for the first time in your managerial career. Don't fück up this lead please. I'll meet you in playoffs where it will be business as usual. ![]() |
Spanish Simeone is at it again. Well I'm not taking points hit to sell Gabriel this week. Next week he's gone |
Vardy go lead to some massive falls this week for who no get am cos everybody else underperformed |
sleekdot:Ozil who was made obsolete by other managers had his best career under Mourinho. Mata has not been able to adapt to several managers in the modern game. Silva was already a legend playing as a left winger in a 4-4-2 under Mancini before adapting to an AM and CM under Pellegrini before even meeting Pep. Let the other redundant players answer for their own lack of adaptability to the modern game, Silva has cleared his name in every position he played. His attacking output before Pep is better than his attacking output after meeting Pep so you have no point. |
swiz123:Nonsense. Fullbacks aren't in a principal position to organise defences, centrebacks do. |
Kepa is beyond useless. I've just seen the 2nd and 3rd goal. At this point, someone should do us a favour and put a bullet in his head. When you see Kepa alone in lineup, always expect calamity. When you see a combination of two or more of the below players, expect calamity Christensen Rudiger Alonso Emerson James Jorginho Somehow we managed to fit 3 calamities in the same line-up today. |
Werner! |
2emotional:Those guys are probably hitsquad for Anambra Govt |
Neymar just overtook Ronaldo on Brazil all-time scorers list and is now advancing on Pele Pele - 77 goals Neymar - 63 goals Ronaldo - 62 goals Hazard Vs Neymar debate has aged well |
They should just cancel all League seasons jare. 3 Cologne players just tested positive. That means Bundesliga restart just cannot happen anytime soon. A player in Ligue 1 is in coma with Covid. Dybala is still positive 6 weeks later and said to be struggling with his lungs. He cannot get back to fitness anytime soon. Meanwhile De Ligt has been allowed to go home to Holland which will take 4 weeks before he is allowed to come out of Quarantine if he does return. Any player that catches Covid on restart will just delay things, and if anyone dies or gets debilitating conditions, litigation will ensue Dutch league, French and Belgian leagues are cancelled. I don't see how clubs from those countries can participate in UCL or Europa EPL talking about playing in only 10 stadiums with tens of thousands of test kits required and training looking like a logistical nightmare. Even FA is saying they won't allow players to touch each other at corners and setplays etc and balls will have to be disinfected 4 times a match. Then you have some players complaining that they also have families, children and parents and are scared. Summary of all this, is they should just cancel the season. |
covid2019:You are a smart man with what you have achieved already. Opening a domiciliary account is by far the best option. Naira will depreciate drastically with oil price and IMF conditions, and with what's to come in the economy, people will need to sell properties to raise cash to stay afloat. Keep yourself in a market with demand (dollars) and stay out of a market that will have oversupply (Housing) after this period. The domiciliary account will buy you a bigger house at the end of this COVID period. |
Skimpledawg:I wish I had an App that could wish my fellow countrymen Happy New Nanosecond. When average life expectancy is low, I suppose every new Monday and every new month is a cause for celebration. With the way Corona is doing point and kill, it makes sense for me to join this trend of celebrating each new week and each new month. |
spillo1:Good point. Another angle. Raumdeuter, what is your response? |
Melvyn11:What is Gerrard goal record? Gerrard best season was 23 goals and 7 of those goals were against TNS from Welsh league in Champions league pre-qualifiers. Plus Gerrard even played directly behind Torres some seasons. I will still take Gerrard over 99% of Eunuchs though. But KDB and Lampard are not eunuchs. Lampard is King of goals and KDB is King of Assists. |
raumdeuter:Liverpool play very high line Sir. Infact VVD and Matip are always on halfway line. Boateng also deals with high line much better than Ramos. Even though we like to clown Boateng as part of regular trolling, I have never seen Boateng half as flustered in highline as I regularly see Ramos flailing all over the place on counterattack. |
nitrogen:I'm a Chelsea fan and I would even pick KDB over Lampard talkless of Gerrard. Gerrard ko, Gerrard ni. Liverpool ex players control media in UK. Same way they overpromote Henderson today is how they overpromoted Gerrard then. Football is about emotions, and the Istanbul story turned Gerrard into a myth larger than the player himself. KDB is better. |
raumdeuter:Though I don't like Ramos, this is a decent point |
Greatihex:Check assists and all round contribution also. Last he was seen before he popped his hamstring against Spurs, he had already assisted twice in 28 minutes before his hamstring popped on the way to a 4-1 trashing of Spurs After missing 2 games with injury, Pellegrini declined to return him to starting line up thinking his loan will expire soon, and that's when Chelsea accelerated away from City in the title race. |
Greatihex:I don't need you to tell me where Lampard played in his last years at Chelsea. It is Chelsea's own stüpidity to push him deep prematurely for the useless shiny new toy of Oscar and yet Lampard was still outproducing Oscar and making key differences where it matters. City allowed him the freedom to make the difference where he does it best, even in the last knockings of his career and he rewarded them with results. What Lampard did in Chelsea, even as a DM was go on scoring runs to secure UCL qualification when needed and topping the Chelsea scoring charts in the process. Despite having the most impotent striker upfront, his goals were crucial to securing UCL qualification. You can check his scoring run under Benitez including the goals against Aston Villa that secured us qualification. Take that Lampard despite another 2 years in his legs and put him infront of Fernandinho and Toure instead of dropping him in with the useless Mikel and Ramires, and what you get is 28 points from 10 starts. Imagine trying to discredit Lampard saying his replacement with Fabregas is what won the league, when Lampard has been carrying Chelsea above their level for the last 2 years with the useless Torres and useless Ramires, Oscar and snail Mikel in midfield. If not for Lampard contribution that period of 2012 to 2014, na 7th or 8th position for sure pass. The introduction of Matic to knock out those 2 useless midfielders and the introduction of Costa to knockout the Spanish Eunuch were key pieces of development to winning the league, so stop creating story that removing Lampard for Fabregas was what won the league. |
Greatihex:I've always said you don't know how to watch football. I don't argue with results and the result speaks for itself which is that City collected 28 points from the 10 games Lampard started. By the time Pellegrini drafted him into the team in September, they were already far behind Chelsea yet Lampard kept them in the hunt. They expected his loan to finish that December so they had to prioritise their main players not short term loan and that is where they started dropping points. At the bolded, when did you ever know Lampard to hold onto ball instead of passing quickly. I have told you, you don't know how to watch football, which is why you gravitate toward those who dance makossa on the ball unnecessarily. That same foolishness is what made you think Hazard is one of footballs greats to the point you lot were not far from comparing him with Messi and Ronaldo, when I have already told you 6 years ago that even KDB is better. I have told you time without number that an AM job is to act quickly to exploit gaps not to control possession. Anywhere you like to check in this world, possession is controlled by the DM and CM. So definitely, there must be computer error in your brain if you are watching City expecting Lampard to hold ball instead of Fernandinho and Toure behind him. He did exactly what he came there to do which is make the difference at the right end of the pitch. |
Melvyn11:Even a broken clock is right twice a day just like Dele Alli and co had monster seasons and could not replicate consistently. That's why Lampard pocket is full and the ones you bring up record reads like binary code.
|
rationalmind:Melvyn11 and Swissh are fools. They don't know how to interrogate data properly. The Aguero and Salah challenging for golden boot are doing so with like 15 clean goals and 5 or 6 penalties. They think it's beans for midfielder to score that amount clean. Maybe Messi and Ronaldo are the ones confusing them. |
Greatihex:Stop talking rubbish my friend. Because you refuse to engage your brain when watching football does not mean everyone is foolish when watching football. Results speak for themselves and City won 9 and drew 1 of the 10 games Lampard started. Even the games he didn't start but was given decent minutes, he rescued points for City eg against Chelsea. Every manager has right to prioritize the future of the club, but Pellegrini lost that league in the games he relegated Lampard to the periphery, not when Lampard was on the pitch. There is a reason City fans adopted him as a club favourite despite only 1 season there in his twilight. If you don't have brain to watch football properly, just keep quiet and let those who know what they are watching summarise for you. |
Melvyn11:And KDB is odds on favourite for POTY with less goals and less assists with season almost done. Lampard 09/10 - 17 clean goals 08/09 - 18 clean goals 07/08 - 16 clean goals 06/07 - 18 clean goals 05/06 - 14 clean goals 04/05 - 16 clean goals 03/04 - 15 clean goals Bring your favourite midfielder own, let's judge. |
kendrick93:Good and succinct summary. Sometimes being a great player includes intangibles such as personality, scoring goals when unexpected etc. He does that. But he is not a great defender by any stretch of imagination. |
Melvyn11:You are a big mumu. When they hold 20 goals as gold standard for a striker, you don't think that includes penalties? The Aguero them that compete for golden boot with just 21 league goals per year, how many penalties do you think are included in their 21 goals? Let's be clear - Lampard scored 27 goals in all comps that season with only 10 penalties in all competitions, so he had 17 clean goals. Oya, give us your favourite midfielder own from his best season. KDB is on 8 clean goals and being touted for POTY, but Lampard with 17 clean goals and 12 clean league goals is average. Continue. |
Godx:Some people only wait till UCL final to judge. Judging by UCL final alone, David Luiz is also a great defender |
