ProgrammingRe: Qbasic by IBEXY(m): 3:22pm On Nov 02, 2006
Qbasic !!!

what will you be doing with that?

why dont you learn the more modern tools like java and C language.

Sorry, u said its for academic purpose.

I still find it hugely outdated and an utter waste of time. I wonder why schools dont teach things happening right now in the market.
Correct me if am wrong.
CareerRe: Should I Return To Nigeria To Work? by IBEXY(m): 2:11pm On Nov 02, 2006
this is really hilarious!!! grin grin

I could not help laughing out once or twice.
why are naija people so terrified of their own country?
why discourage a patriotic brother from bringing back his "wealth of experience" back home.
I reside in the UK also and one day I will go home.
What else is there to do. To get a job here is equally hard. U gotta overcome a lot - racial differences not the least.
Right now am so home sick I could jump into the next virgin atlantic bound for Lagos.
FamilyHelp! - Should I Marry From Home Or Here In London by IBEXY(op): 1:25pm On Nov 02, 2006
A newcomer to UK, I cant blend or understand the girls. Its quite different from my experience back home. Or what would you say to a girl that prefers a holiday in Barbados to a visit to good old naija.

How am I to explain that I should erect a house in my father's compound? Should I even think of ever returning to my dearly beloved naija in the end?

Of course every thing changes once you marry. The other person's interests count too.

Marry from home to a complete stranger? I know one or two guys who risked it and ended up regreting. (A few are enjoying matrimonial bliss too)

Indecision becomes my best friend as I get older by the day. huh cry

PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by IBEXY(m): 12:49pm On Nov 02, 2006
why naija no dey work ?

1. Large scale KLEPTOMANIA in high places
2. CORRUPTION
3. INSTITUTIONALISED THIEVERY IN HIGH PLACES
4. HYPOCRISY PLUS LACK OF STRONG WILLPOWER ON THE PART OF THE PEOPLE TO STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS

TO SAY A LITTLE

Lets stop pretending, we all know what our problems are.

TravelRe: Nigerians In Diaspora: Where Do You Want To Be Buried? by IBEXY(m): 12:17pm On Nov 02, 2006
As an Ibo man I am genuinely worried about this case. Its tradition in my place to always bring back and bury a man in his own village - hence the saying 'a real man's head does not rot abraod'. Any how, I am registered with my community's social gathering here in UK. Its one of their fuctions to make sure my bones rest in good old naija whenever the lord takes back my soul.
