He is owing the University lecturers salary from July, another strike is looming from the University after 6months of it being shut down by a strike action in February.

The Kogi State Governor, Mr. Yahaya Bello and his wife, Mrs Aminat Bello, have earned more accolades from Nigerians than they would have from any election.


Hundreds of guests at the HAYAT Foundation Launch Dinner on October 4, 2017 were impressed at the State Executive and his pretty wife as they showed off their son, who is physically challenged and suffers from Cerebral Palsy. The Hayat Foundation is an initiative of the First Lady with the objective of addressing the needs of Special and other less privileged kids.


The First Family attracted the admiration of all as they doted on the boy who is a split image of his dad. All dressed in the same attire, the boy, who is on the wheel-chair was the cynosure of eyes throughout the duration of the event. Governor Bello also proved to be a romantic husband as he openly showered his wife with love which she responded to—they hugged, they kissed and held hands.


Present at the event, which was broadcast live to millions of Nigerians were, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, (who was absent and delivered her message via a video) Hon, Minister of Labour Chief Chris Ngige, Chief Dele Momodu Representative from Mrs Aisha Buhari, Representative from United Nation and other prominent Nigerians. Entertainers present were AY comedian, Timi Dakolo, and a host of others.

However, speaking in an interview, Aminat Bello encouraged parents with Special needs not to give up. According to her, no matter the challenges, the stigmatization and discrimination encountered, with a good education and adequate care for children with special needs, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

“I live on my son everyday I cherish him and love him so much,” she said.

A yet-to-be identified man Friday afternoon jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

Officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Marine Police and other
relevant agencies are at the scene​.​

Hell will break loose if a DJ plays songs at any social event without the Patapaa song and MzGee and Raymond’s wedding which happened on October 7 in Accra was no exception. Andy Dosty of Hitz FM and Joy FM who was the man behind the turntables had to end the wedding reception with the biggest song in the country.

Prior to the playing of ‘One Corner’ song, the couple – MzGee and Raymond Acquah who are both workers at Multimedia Group had been showing their dance skills but the bride refused to boogie to the hit song which has got many Ghanaians going crazy. Even though well-wishers who were at the event whirled to the song asking the bride, Mrs. Acquah to face them with her skills, she refused.

A fearless Indonesian Robert Nababan fought with a giant 23 feet Python to save pedestrians.

The battle started when he saw the giant python obstructing the way of the two pedestrians, he angrily took matters into his hands and fought the python.

The Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinaya Abaribe, has applied to the court to be discharged from the suretyship, bond and recognizance of the bail of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

In an application filed against the Federal Government, Nnamdi Kanu, and his co-defendants, Senator Abaribe is asking the court to make an order discharging him as surety to Abaribe prayed the court to discharge him entirely from the incidence of bail of Kanu.

He is also asking for a discharge of the bond used for Kanu’s bail and a refund of N100 million or any other bond paid to the court sequel to the bail.



The grounds upon which Senator Abaribe sought the reliefs include that the Nigerian army during a raid at the residence of the IPOB leader engaged in a fracas with members of the group which has been proscribed by the federal government.

Abaribe said since the raid by the Nigerian Army, the first defendant has not been seen or reached.

He also said Kanu is yet to make any public appearance or any statement since the raid.
