Thank you for your question, this is why I always beg my clients to carry out a geophysical survey. Honestly speaking, is difficult to give you a yes or no answer in this case. The report made mention of a low yield, meaning that depending on your water requirements or expectation, the borehole may or may not give you the required quantity that may be sufficient for you. They equally made mention of consulting the client before embarking on the borehole project, the reason is just to iron out some of these areas so that you will not expect a very productive borehole in the end. The choice is entirely yours to make, but if you decide to embark on the project, make sure you involve an experienced Geologist in other to get the best result possible. Thanks so much sirI have gotten the electrician and a wire was bad. It pumped water for like 10 minutes again and stoped,I changed the pumping machine to 1.5 horse power from 0.5,the meter of the borehole is 90..
I will be waiting for your as we will be going there tomorrow again.

Good morning my brother, before we jump into conclusion, I want you to get an electrician to look at the panel of the submersible pump, let's be sure everything is fine from that end because sometimes it could be faulty and it will affect the submersible pump from functioning properly. Please would you consider a borehole 13.7meters , shallow in Lagos ?

Of course is a shallow depth, but is important for you to realise that such depth may have been recommended for a particular reason. Therefore, being a shallow depth does not automatically translate to bad water, such depth may have been recommended in other to avoid intruding into the saline zone and all that. If it was recommended by a team of professionals, be rest assured that considering all other factors, it is for the best.

The septic tank is at the front of the house while the borehole is at the back.
I don't know the depth.

Knowing the depth of the borehole would have given me the opportunity to know if it is shallow or not, because shallow borehole is prone to underground water contamination, and the contaminant could be from any source at all other than the septic tank. One of the solutions is to install a water treatment plant in other to remove all the impurities as well as the odour. You may equally consider drilling another borehole. Thanks a million.

when we use Gen....which definitely have up to 220v voltage...it pumps water


Most times...when NEPA current is full...it equally pumps.


Is just when the light is not that full....not as if is too low....it won't be able to pump water...


with these...re u still saying there is something wrong with the sumo.

the sumo is 0.75hp

From everything you have said so far, the only challenge you're having with the submersible pump is light, 0.75hp submersible pump does not really require high voltage to function, is a small pump. But the truth is that an experienced electrician should be able to know if there are some other issues affecting the pump apart from the light, because even when the connection to the panel is not professionally done, it could result to a lot of challenges. Therefore, I advice you to avoid plugging the pump on when the voltage is low to avoid the pump having issues, wait till the voltage is high enough or you use a generator.

Is there a kind of stabilizer for borehole sumo in case of such low voltage current?

I think you should first of all get in touch with an electrician to find out if there is anything wrong with the submersible pump or the panel. Sometimes, the problem may just be the panel, because the panel was designed to switch the pump off in case if there is any issue that has to do with high or low voltage and sometimes you may need to be the one to switch it on again. Alternatively, you can use a generator to find out if is current or not, but please, don't forget to check the button beside the on/off switch to make sure is well regulated.
