PoliticsRe: See What Each State Got As Federal Allocation For February 2016 by Iblawi1: 7:58pm On Mar 18, 2016
davidmark4naija:
Wait oh!

Udom just signed a 400+ billion naira 2016 budget. Very close to Akpabio's.

But from the info on this chart, Akwa Ibom will be getting 96 to 100 billion as allocation from FG this year. Mbok wia does Udom intend to get the remaining 300+ billion for his budget?

Or is he looking to generate an IGR of 300 billion dis year alone?shocked
Every state have other means of generating income. A state like Lagos get smaller revenue from FG but by the time you add other source of income it becomes far more than what others get. Same with Akwa Ibom, delta and others. But some smaller states generate very little that it makes no difference and that is the reason why you here people say some states can't survive without federal allocation. States like zamfara, kebbi , jigawa and even Osun state. Lagos state have survived with any federal allocation during obasanjo's regime.

AM very sure they rape. For them to treat another human being like this is absolutely wrong, it does not matter if they are soldiers or street sweepers, this behavior is only a symptom of a national Nigerian diseases that condones brutal behavior towards each other. I think a national public awareness campaign that extorts kindness, honestly, and mutual respect to other people is needed to change this.

This is why Nigerian soldiers have posted videos in social media of themselves beheading civilians(including women and teenagers) and torturing others while claiming its interrogation, all the while they are in uniform.

What you guys should also discuss are the videos of UN peacekeepers(non-African) in DRC brutalizing and raping women and girls.
Guy maybe where you came from soldiers rape cadets but here in Nigeria we dont have such. Infact the news on any rape incident is more like breaking news here in Nigeria even among civilians. We even have such news get to pages of newspapers. Am not saying it doesn't happen but its not common. I don't even see anything in any of the videos that would even make anyone think of rape. Your mind must be really bad/corrupt.

Females are not raped. This is nothing compared to what happens in many places. I think Sahara reporters misused the word abused.

Isn't it ironic that your Government is begging our half illiterate defence force to save you from Boko Harm?
Who is begging your government to help US with boKo haram? Book haram has been defeated. South Africa that couldn't stay in Sudan now want to fight book haram after the war as ended. We believe the media made some errors and am sure you will soon hear the facts from Nigerian military spokesman.

are you this retarded? Which south African company in Nigeria do you think we don't have a replacement for? MTN, MULTICHOICE and Shoprite are the only companies you have in Nigeria that have impact on the people and we already have more than enough replacement for them. Stanbic bank and others are irrelevant.

south Africa is an irrelevant country in BRICS non of them would spoil it relationship with Nigeria because of an irrelevant country. Nigeria made south Africa irrelevant in every group even in G20. All those countries you mentioned have strong relationship with Nigeria.

Hamilton class was built as a cutter by manufacturer and Arandu as Frigates but is now OUT OF ORDER meaning you now have zero frigate.
Your definition never said anything about manufacturer and it never said it must be better armed than any other vessel.

They have the size and tonnage of a frigate and the extent to which it must be armed was not specified anywhere which leave the country to determine that based on threat level in the region.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 10:02am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
Like I told you the frigates is determined by its size, the level of armament it takes and its ability to project force. The manufacture as well will have a final say what the ship was built for and what level of self defence does it have.
If that is it. Then we have 3 frigates thanks.

Bwahahaha… at least we know that we have frigates and can project force anywhere in SSA. Just like we have done in Ivory Coast.
Yes, just as I said earlier, they can project force to some part of SSA like Namibia and Mozambique but not Nigeria.

Msauza:
cool

Good even cutters can never be frigates. You've just unswered yourself.

Bwahahaha…grin
The question is what is a frigate?

Did they tell you a frigate is a vessel that can carry SSM and SAM?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 9:54am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
Hamilton-Class if used as a frigates will only be a toothless dog that won't even project force beyond Nigeria's shores. grin
Your Valour class with teeth haven't done anything with it for almost 10 years same as NNS Aradu never had to use its teeth for over 30 years.

You need a psychiatric clinic urgently. Covettes are small and and lightly armed. Mordern Frigates can do whatever destroyers can do dummy. They can shoot down fighters, launch torpedoes, destroy submarines, destroy other ships with ASM, etc. Can do everything that destroyers do
Fool even corvette are built with such features in mind but that doesn't make them a frigate or even a destroyer.

The capabilities of these vessels are different. The Chinese corvette can even launch missiles with greater greater ranges than your Valour but they were not referred to as frigates. They can shoot down fighters, launch torpedoes, destroy submarines and other fighters too but they are still corvettes because their capability is limited.

Even the Indian have used Nilgiri class frigates that was never armed with SAM or SSM.

You guys are confused and you think everyone must think the same way. NNS thunder and NNS okpabana are frigates just like the Indian Nilgiri class frigates.

Nigeria has 3 frigates and 2 OPVs currently.
Deal with it.

Argentinian meko 360 is a frigate same class as ARANDU.
No, Argentina refer to them as destroyers.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 9:33am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
Our topic here is based on whether NNS Thunder and Okpabana are indeed Frigates or not. Let us stop beating about the bush going from pillar to post jumping from one point to another. Let us leave everything else and concentrate on establishing whether is Hamilton-Class a frigate or not.
I ask you why Nilgiri class is referred to a frigate and why the NNS thunder is not since you believe all frigates must have missile launchers and you where saying rubbish, you even posted pics that proved you wrong.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 9:29am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
Frigates can be used for anti submarine warfare, Air defence warfare, launching missiles, torpedoes, etc. The same way destroyers are used for. Frigates are as well built to stand missile impact.
Dummy, even corvettes comes with all this features so should I call them destroyers too.

The capabilities of a frigate is by far different from a destroyer just as the capabilities of a corvette is different from a frigate. The only vessels with such close capabilities should be cruisers and destroyers. A frigate is a frigate and a destroyer is a destroyer.

The size, tonnage and level of Armaments of these vessels differentiate their capabilities. Some destroyers are 3 times the tonnage and size of a frigates and the Armaments differ a lot.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 9:01am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
I have never claimed corvette and frigate are the same but what I know is that covettes are smaller and lightly armed than frigates. Destroyers and Frigates are almost the same and that's why some other navy's would use Frigates in place of destroyers. Both can be used for ASW, Air defence, launching torpedoes, etc

The only person confused here is you. Frigates are built to withstand missiles and Cutters and Corvettes can never stand any missile attacks dummy. Only destroyers and Frigates will. So don't come and feed us your half cooked education of ignorance. Cutters are only good to be used as patrol assets.
Dummy corvettes with less than 1000 tons are armed with missiles even fast attack boats. You are very confused. Instead frigates can't carry the level of Armaments destroyers carry they are completely different. The only vessels that are that close should be cruisers and destroyers not frigates and destroyers dummy.

You didn't answer my question still.

People must stop fooling other people around here. At least we don't leave in countries which are land locked. We can tell what is a frigate when we see one and as well we can tell what is a cutter when we see one. The top part of a frigate and cutter don't look the same and the cutter is smaller than a frigate. A cutter usually reminds you of those ancient pirates ships. Even if is a modern cutter it always takes that shape.
Please can you explain how NNS thunder look like a pirate ship?
Secondly, I guess you don't know the size and tonnage of the NNS thunder and okpabana is almost the same as you Valour frigates.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 8:18am On Feb 20, 2016
Msauza:
Frigates are not made frigates because of your choice. The size of the ship and the level of armament as well as what the manufacture say is what finally determines it to be a frigate.
The size, tonnage and level of Armaments on the Spanish frigate F 105 is known to all to be a destroyer but the manufacturer and Spanish Navy says it's a frigates.

Same in Germany and in other navies. I guess you problem is because you only follow and believe what you are told without asking questions. Other people always make decisions for you.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Iblawi1: 7:47am On Feb 20, 2016

Msauza:
NNS Okpabana is a former US coast guards cutter. It was never a frigates and is a Hamilton class. Its a navy cutter dummy.
Now let me educate you a bit. Why is Argentina's meko 360 referred to as a destroyer and Nigerian meko 360 is referred to as a frigate?
You need serious help.

jln115:
Can someone please tell me when cutters were reclassified as Frigates? When did this happen?

Also the Nilgiri class is over 35 years old, and were commissioned at a time when almost all Frigates had 0 missiles. The reason it's classified as a frigate is because it met the definition of a Frigate back in the 70s.
Lair, NNS Aradu is 35 years old too and it was classified a frigate. Meko360 was armed with missiles with over 80km range 35 years ago. Tell me missiles just came into existence 35 years ago.

The last of the Nilgiri class frigates was decommissioned in 2013 and was decommissioned as a frigate.

Our Navy can project force anywhere in sub-saharan Africa. No country in SSA has submarines or even fully functional frigates.
Do you know what a frigate is? If yes you would know we have 3 frigates. For your information, not all frigates and submarines in South Africa are fully functional as we speak.
