1,800 to 3,300 Tonnes moderately armed navy ships with 76mm main guns and anti-missile decoys are not brown water vessels, their sizes and range are blue water capability.

NNS Thunder, NNS Okpabana, sail from north pole arctic ice zone down to south pole en-route Australia, that is blue water capability sailing from one end of the planet to the other.

NNS Ambe Landing Ship Tank is back in service, refit completed 2015/2016, that is a blue water vessel that moved Nigerian tanks and artillery to Liberia and Sierra Leone.

NN controlling the entire Gulf Of Guinea up to SADC in response to Angola's distress call, is true and tested force projection.

Blue water navy and force projection does not mean the ship must carry missiles. It must be armed to meet the threat that is assigned to it's mission. That is one thing the South Africans do not know, they think only missiles make blue water or force projection, but no !

There is peace time maritime security blue water missions and force projection, that is what Indian navy signed deal to do with Nigerian navy for long term, India has requested to be allowed to depend on Nigeria's blue ocean capabilities across the Atlantic ocean

I can't help your foolishness. There is no cure for stuppiditty.

I repeat. Any navy with frigates and submarines can project force.

Frigates and Submarines make blue water navy assets you stuppid fool. You cannot use them in shallow waters but in deep seas.
Foolish comment from a Foolish South African. You will never learn.
Yes maybe you can project force to Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe or Mozambique but not Nigeria except your definition of projecting forces does not include sustaining your forces and returning back home. it will be a suicide mission fool.

You know nothing about projecting forces.

You are so dumb that you cannot see that we are talking about NAVY here.

Tell me are you sane upstairs? Any navy that possess submarines and frigates, that is large warships can project force. SAN can undoubtedly project force.

When are you going to be wise just for once?
Mumu before calling others dumb you should ask yourself why a proper blue water have landing craft and amphibious vessels?

why do navys have helicopter and fighter jets?

Why do they have replenishment ships?

You are a fool.

Why would Egyptian Navy buy mistral class carriers, landing crafts, helicopters?

You don't even have a blue water navy yet fool.
South Africa can't project force anywhere dummy.

Foolish South African with dull brain.

Any navy with frigates and submarines can project force anywhere dummy. Those are blue water navy hardwares. I don't know why can't you be wise enough to know that.
Dummy projecting force means getting reasonable amount of force to enemy location and be able to sustain the needs of your forces and I expect you to know you still need to keep you home country safe.

You have just 4 frigates and 3 submarines tell us how many you will bring to Nigeria that has over 100 vessels and how many will be at home
Secondly, We will also be happy to know how many troop and other equipment you will come along with.

Projecting forces = soldier +tanks+aircraft +naval vessel+ your ability to sustain them.

South Africa can't project force. That source is fake.

patches689:
Sources from SAN refer to them as frigates.

Proven 3 days ago.

Pics of multiple subs at sea disprove your second paragrahp

Pic related, we have more force projection than you (para 3 disproven)

Indian navy conducts exercises with us, not you. (All paras now wrecked)

You are an intellectual bug which is squish by mistake... I do not even recognize your presence. Go back to telling us about Boko haram "black magic" at least that was entertaining
We already proved your source is fake. Stop making it look as if you can project force. SAN can't project force anywhere.

I wanted to ask him what he himself Ukpo1 has done or invented for Nigeria since he says Nigeria built nothing.....what has he himself and his entire family invented for Nigeria? Has he built a Gulma drone or his family built a bomb disposal robot?

I chose not to the talk to him because I realized the guy is due for admission at Aro mental hospital in Abeokuta, Governor Amosu recently provided new vacant beds there in the admission ward.
You should have given us this information before now cause people like this need to occupy the vacant beds.

1. You do lack capacity - aradu has been broken since 2005

2. SAN pulls off 2-3 exercises of that scale per year

3. Defenceweb did not say that, go back and read the article.

4. How are they obsolete? Compared to what? Does that mean Lafayette, De Gaulle and F100 are also relics?

This is so pathetic guy, you find out we are off to India and China for parades and exercises and you launch this tirade based on the meaningless testimony of a man who was destroyed on the stand and an article in Defenceweb that you are mis-quoting... my father told me never to act in emotion... maybe I should give him your number so he can give you the same lecture grin grin grin
You are a big liar.

Pls Tell us how many ships SAN has?

San only has about 16 ships so how will they hold such exercise yearly.

Fraudsters.

Where is the evidence to support them?

Substantiate your argument, boy

1) your troops were given 72 hours to run back to SA.

2) you never achieved any aim in CAR.

3) you soldiers were so scared that they left without some equipment/weapons just like they did in Burundi.

4) etc

I am still uncertain as to what you think this is proving?

If you want i could post a picture of rows of dead kenyan soldiers surrounded by El-goatkebab

Or maybe a Nigerian army t55 capture by bh

Or a video of a ugandan base being over-run by islamists
patches689:
No, i do not have an "attitude" what I have is facts.

You have the "attitude", i dont quite know the whats or whys of it all... but somehow the SANDF has made you deeply butthurt

Now, if you wish to post provocational material on this forum, then I too can post it.

And guess what... i will win that little game because the we dont get our bases over-run and we shure as hell make sure that we dont leave our dead on the battlefield.

And fyi, its not "us" its "i"- you arent the forums spoksman.
Are you crying? Or do you feel like crying?

We warned you before not to trow stones cos you leave in a glass house.

Africaken made you you speechless to the extent that you can even defend yourself. He expose all your lies and am sure you now know how your cameramen soldiers performed in CAR, Burundi, Congo and Sudan. You are in no way special.

Did you go to school and write exams by yourself or you paid a 'mercenary' to write exams for you to pass ?

Your story is complete grabage, the paragraph was cut off by you, you removed the top part of the paragraph, here is the full paragraph :

"Some of the reasons for interoperability inconsistencies are discussed below :

No interoperability strategy . In the requirements, specifications and development philosophies of SDPP platforms no consideration was given to utilising platforms as an integrated joint capability, thus concluding that no clear strategy or owner was driving crosscutting project capability
requirements for Network Enabled Defence.

Standard evolution . It was assumed that using a single standard would ensure interoperability between platforms. "

" The impression by many was that Link-ZA compliance by the SDPP acquisition projects would imply message exchange interoperability between all these platforms.

Disappointingly it was found that most platforms could only exchange information between similar type platforms. "

http://www.argospress.com/jbt/article_abstracts/14-3-2-abstract.pdf

The paragraph is actually reporting that the reasons that made Link ZA to fail.....the second reason above is Standard Evolution...an assumed idea that was assumed will make all platforms interoperable, but it disappointed and the assumption failed !

Fool, the report says the STANDARD EVOLUTION assumption is the second reason for the failure of Link ZA, then your retaaaarded skull thinks it was a means of success.

You Southie guys CANNOT escape this embarrassment and national disappointment...

Link Za Tactical Data Link FAILED, your SANDF got mere intercom that MTN can provide cheap !!! grin grin

They all thought it was going to work, but after 2010 mass failure, the 2011 research was conducted on Link ZA true operational performance and final report says in 2011....valid and unchanged till today 2016 :

"Delivery of SDPP’s started in 2005 with frigates and submarines and was followed by LIFT aircraft in 2006, maritime helicopters in 2007 and fighter aircraft in 2009. The impression by many was that Link-ZA compliance by SDPP acquisition projects would imply message exchange inter-operability between all these platforms.

Disappointingly it was found that most platforms could only exchange information between similar type platforms ."

EVarn:
hmm..how do I explain this to a lay man like you...let me start like this:
You are full, brimming and bloating with shiit.
Now,that being said,Nigeria is the world's largest producer of:
*Cassava
*Yam{I guess only west africans eat yam?,clown!}
*Beans
*Cashew seed
*Soya beans
*Oil palm and
*Millet
I guess what is confusing this South African man is the word producer and the other word exporter.

NIGERIA'S population is almost 4 times that of South Africa and we consume most of them locally and export the rest.

South Africa might be the largest exporter but not largest producer.

@Evarn just try to understand them, you have to break things down for them to understand cos there brain is not as complex as you think and that is why other African get better jobs in there country than their citizens
