That one I will not talk about o. Inflated budget in civil service is learning from that of the military.

Is like 10x the original amount in the military.

You're a typical Nigerian. You read without comprehension. Again, from the evidence you just provided, is the army's budget same as the airforce? Keep barking....
From the evidence he provided, the Nigerian army budget is worse than that of Air force.

I which you really know the meaning of recurrent budget (salaries mainly). Not where you can buy anything from.

While capital budget is for procurement of every other thing you need ( not just military hardware).

200,000 army personnel vs 20,000 Airforce personnel (x10).

34 billion capital budget for Army with 200,000 personnel and Airforce get 26 billion for personnels 10X smaller.

Nigerian army budget is really bad when compared to Airforce and Navy.

My brother even in the days of our forefathers, the European came with Dane guns and sold them as slaves. Even the Beni kingdom was not excluded. What will happen when they come with intercontinental ballistic missiles, aircraft carriers, long range missiles, Superior fighter jets, better trained soldiers, etc. Those guys are far ahead of us now than before.

One guy here was talking of using howitzer to fire ships in Atlantic ocean. The guy made me believe we are cursed in this country.

When Nigeria invaded Gambia recently, it was with no action from their military. A whole president of a Nation was removed and the military didn't fire a bullet.

The gap between USA and Nigeria is wider than the gap between Nigeria and Gambia militarily. I wish some of us can just be realistic sometimes.

Top 3 companies specializing in car armoring in Nigeria

Car armoring in Nigeria is a rather young sector that only came about recently with just a few pioneers. Before this time, all car armoring was done overseas and then the vehicles were imported into the country. However, a number of Nigerian security firms took up the tough task of building and armoring different car models here in the country. Let's have a look at some car armoring and bulletproof car sales companies in Nigeria, building some of the best-armored vehicles in the country.

1. Armormax Nigeria

This is a Nigeria based company with the capacity to customize your passenger vehicles into an armored and bulletproof car. The company is an offshoot of and is wholly owned by the internationally acclaimed American armoring company, International Armoring Corporation.

Armormax was founded on the basic principle of manufacturing the finest, most technologically advanced armored passenger vehicles in the world.

Armormax claims its Armormax® reduces an armored car's weight by as much as 60% and is the lightest military-grade armor in the industry.

The company offers the B6 armoring category in Nigeria which hands protection for your car's radiator, fuel tanks, all windows, and the car's body, including the underbody. The B6 category guarantees protection against different types of guns except for high powered ballistic armor-piercing weapons like RPGs.

60% of all igbos are outside igboland and so it makes sense most igbos that are rich would be outside igboland

See outside Lagos ...south west has the lowest concentration of igbos than any region .... Lagos was a Nigerian project just like Abuja ...so relax

We have explained it over and over there are Chinese business men in Nigeria or poorer country doesn't mean Nigeria is better than home...to make money u have to travel

There are far more igbos in the north east alone than Lagos ....

We not only go to places to make money we also spread development unlike the hausas ...we build malls , hotels schools and factories ..... unfortunately this brought nothing but envy and hate to us ....so since 2015 or so there has been a shift ....and massive sale off of Igbo properties in Nigeria and moving them back to the east

Why do u think ibeju lekki has not appreciated or eko Atlantic is not moving ...we are no more buying
You have educational problem.

Chinese are in Nigeria as expert building rails, roads, etc.

Others are as IT experts bringing in HUAWEI product.

Many bring Chinese finished goods to Nigeria and Africa.

One foolish Igbo man is here comparing Igbo to Chinese.

What did you bring from South east when you were coming to south west? Could it be Gala?

What knowledge did you have that you've experimented in South east before coming.

Even your Igbo Actor have to come to Lagos before they can blow.

South east is a failed land and it's the major reason igbos travel to feed their families.

All igbos can boast of is market where they sell second hand imported goods or better still downgraded imported goods.

Blah blah blah ...what I posted was to show that there was no way South East can have 42% poor people ....it didn't happen in the past ...it was not the norm

No war or trouble happen in the south east since 2013 ...so how can the east move to 42% .... there is no way u can extrapolate and get at ...in stead u should be getting around 13% to 18%

What I posted exposed the NBS for smart people tho ....no you can go around with your hate

When the British employed based on merit n left which group dominated ? You are better educated my foot ...travel u won't hear ....thank God for nuc if not who know how many people u would have given professor without PhD like osibanjo
First thing you should ask yourself is why 70% of the rich igbos stay outside South east (as you earlier claim)?

Second questions you should ask yourself is how may people from other regions do you find in South east?

Ask why most igbos are running to south West? If possible you are typing from South West currently.

You will discover that people don't run from a more productive area to less productive areas.

In conclusion, South West is a blessed region and the major reason why your people run there while South east is less productive.

From the same source as yours. It's very stupid for someone to post what you posted as poverty statistics by region. It clearly stated in the heading.

This is why south West is always better than south easterners when it comes to education.

I know many who can make that who aren't even soldiers just from practicing on the range.

It really depends on what equipment you have. With the right optics and assault rifle you should hit a melon sized target very easily.

However, with steel sights and chaotic disorganised responses, in panic driven battle environment add to that a basic AK47 near impossible. Most basic AK'S effective range is about 300 metres plus.
Some of those guys are better than many soldiers when it comes to accuracy. Plus the fact that they don't use basic ak47 or m17 riffle.

Your last point is the message I was trying to pass and is the major reason many soldiers run from war. Your basic riffle won't change much as you are shooting randomly at an enemy around 1km away.

Your life/success will largely depend on how effective the heavy guns on your side can suppress the enemies.

Lack of coordination. Even in a better terrain. Missing shots like they weren't trained to be a good marksman.
How many soldiers can make accurate shot at 500 meters? Even in US military.

Those guys are firing an enemy at almost 1km or even greater. This is neither a video game not a movie.

You can't judge the performance of the operation by what is happening in a small part of the operation except you have an overall view.

Try to be in a place where bullets are fly here and there and sure your impression will change.

Boko Haram: Chadian gov’t dismisses recent onslaught by President Déby

Aidoghie Paulinus, Abuja

The Embassy of the Republic of Chad to Nigeria has dismissed recent reports which portrayed President Idriss Déby as leading the country’s army on an onslaught against Boko Haram.

The reports which also showed the capturing of Boko Haram armoury by the Chadian military, according to the embassy, were misleading videos and images dating back to 2015.

In a statement made available to Daily Sun in Abuja, the embassy noted that the report, with dubious origins, had been circulated on the web and in some online or print media designed to wrongly attribute to the Chadian president, completely distorted remarks, taken out of its context and alleging inaction or non-participation of the Nigerian Army in the fight against Boko Haram.

“The Embassy of Chad strongly rejects and denounces this regrettable misinformation which only aims at deteriorating the excellent relations that exist between their Excellencies, President Idriss Déby Itno and his brother and counterpart, President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as the cooperation and exemplary and dynamic interaction established between defence and security forces of both sister and neighbouring countries bound by history, geography, culture and blood,” the Chadian Government said.

While commending the spirit of mutual understanding, regular consultations and active solidarity between both countries, the Chadian Embassy further said such height never reached in the past, characterised the relations the two sister countries and the two leaders enjoyed.

“This new dynamic which also translates in a more and more efficient efforts of the defence and security forces of both countries, deserves to be consolidated and appreciated at its just value.

“It is important for the embassy to point out the imperative necessity to figure out and understand the deep qualitative development that has occurred in all areas of bilateral cooperation. Nigeria is the number one economic partner of Chad and security challenges, as well as common sustainable development require further rapprochement between the two nations,” the Chadian Government also said.

The Chadian Government, however, counted on the Nigerian media to adequately explain the stakes related to the common destiny of both countries towards sub-regional and continental integration.

It added that the cooperation established in the framework of the Lake Chad Basin Commission and the common fight carried out together within the Multinational Joint Task Force were perfect illustrations of the excellent bilateral ties between both countries.

“Nothing can distract both countries and people from their goal which is to restore peace, security and stability in the whole sub-region for a sustainable development mutually profitable to both Nigerian and Chadian people,” the government further said.

A fighting patrol, a military base or a military convey of 50 soldiers is attacked by BH after intense fighting whether tactical retreat or repel, there will be head count where 14 men are missing, but only 6 bodies recovered, 8 unaccounted for the media through unknown source that always don't want to be named will report 20 dead or 15 dead and many missing, after a day or two news within the circle will begin to emerge how the 8 unaccounted hide in the bush, ran to safer bases or villages in some cases more bodies will be found or abduction by BH, this stories will never be published, but the public will never know about this but will be yapping about how soldiers are killed in dozens.
Believe if you want to that if Nigeria soldiers are killed in the figures published in the news, there will be no soldiers in the Northeast that are above the rank of sergeant because them for all die and only the new and fresh recruit will be fighting by now.

There are over 5000 people infected with Corona virus in Nigeria already but the government is there deceiving us that only 8 covid-19 cases. So many of us know the temperature test and contact tracing are concentrated at the airports and nothing is not present on our land borders.

Many cases of people landing in neighboring countries and entering Nigeria by road are not tested and the cases are increasing exponentially.

Secondly, we have very few labs within the country that can carry out the covid-19 test and many are treated for malaria and when they die hospital claim they die of malaria.

Simple truth is that he also depends on second hand information which might be true or false depending on the source. He also refused to mention his sources of information too.

I think you are contradicting yourself here.

Secondly, how reliable is your source of information? You might be in the north east but you are not where the fight is taking place. You are definitely going to get second hand information just as those of us in Abuja and other places.

Two Warplanes and a Drone Shot Down in Syria-Turkey Escalation
Syria's army simultaneously declared the airspace over northwest Syria closed to planes and drones, pledging to down any aircraft that violates it

Reuters
11:54
Turkish forces targetted two Syrian government planes over the Idlib region of northwest Syria, Syrian state media said on Sunday.

State news agency SANA said the pilots got out in parachutes and were fine. No other details were immediately available.

Earlier, Turkey's Anadolu news agency reported a Syrian government plane has been downed in Idlib Sunday morning. Syria's army simultaneously declared the airspace over northwest Syria closed to planes and drones, pledging to down any aircraft that violates it, state media said on Sunday.

"Any aircraft that violates our airspace will be dealt with as enemy aircraft that must be brought down," state news agency SANA said, citing a military source.

Syrian state media later denied the Turkish report a government plane was brought down on Sunday and reported that government forces shot down a Turkish drone over the town of Saraqeb in northwest Idlib.

Turkish forces have been hitting Syrian government targets in Idlib in the recent weeks. In February, a total of 55 Turkish soldiers were killed in Syrian government attacks, including air strikes, in Idlib.

The government forces' air strikes are part of a major assault to capture the province, part of the last remaining territory held by rebels backed by Turkey.
