@jamebex: I was rejected at KAUST. But you shouldn't let that discourage you. When you apply you should try to contact a professor, that may help because I learnt some people did and where selected. Goodluck!

What I am trying to do now is to write a good SOP. Though I am concerned that I have no published papers and research experience. I would not mind tips for a strong SOP.
