Don't worry, they would use blade to cut the back of your waec certificate, just a little part of it and they'd stamp and sign the portion. Mine was laminated too

Hello, please, I need guideline on certifying from Notary public, is this method recognised by Uni-Assit? Thanks
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 2:02am On Apr 13, 2018
Yes, I would advise you take the course, but you've got to be hardworking, you have to learn German to get admitted/invite to write the exam, duration is two semesters and youd write entrance exam on German and mathematics or just German depending on the faculty you'd like to study later. Its called Studienkolleg you can find more information at Studienkollegs.de
Fustinachichi:
please has anyone here done any international foundation year in Germany?(for those that are using just leaving school certificates)....they sent me an email saying its really good for international students who dont know much about Germany and who haven't been in education for a while...and the more i read up on it, the more i really like it... but my question is at the end of the year will i come back to Nigeria to go through the tedious visa application process if i want to go on to my degree?

oh they also said they will give me scholarship for my first year degree(this is next year)

pls does anyone know anything about it?

Yeah, I'm sure it won't even take long as we've seen in this girl's case
Lammydamsel:

In addition, to what someone mentioned, the Consulate can also issue denial. A friend of mine was rejected without forwarding his documents to the ailien office. He had to mail his school who later mailed the foreign office and they said his documents were not forwarded initially.

One, 3-4 weeks, the other about 5-6 weeks
Nordan:

Do you know how long it took to get the rejection letter from the embassy?
Please would appreciate an answer
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 4:47pm On Mar 02, 2018
Okay, she works bro, I'm not doubting you bro, but the Allien office shouldn't have issued SL to her in the first place, the girl just dey think , she dey think say witches don enter her matter cheesy
donkafor:
Last time I checked, a reverend sister is not qualified to issue SL. Reverend sisters here don't even have personal account numbers. My last discussion with a reverend sister of Immaculate Heart here in München, she told me that they don't have personal accounts both in München and Nigeria.

It's a congregation and they use general account for everybody. So, having a general account didn't qualify her to issue SL.

Note: This information is based on the above mentioned congregation.

Also, people should make effort to read comments on SL. It's in German but try to translate.. For example, you should see word like "Stadium" on it to ensure its for study and not just visit.... etc

May we all succeed in Deutschland. grin grin grin

I cannot answer for them, but it's understandable,
your spouse can stand for you. I'm only trying to give hint, and that it seems buying letter or just meeting anybody isn't really welcomed anymore.

positiveagenda:

Thanks ibnkokumo for sharing this explanation.
I appreciate but what if the sponsorship letter is from your spouse? Hope it will be granted without any hitch. I was thinking of applying for a reunion but finally got an admission for summer.
Cheers.

Hallo, long time, I've not been active in this thread. So I'm just here to caution those paying huge for sponsorship letter (Verpflicherklärungen)

Having a sponsorship letter isn't an assurance you'll get a Visa. I have two cases of refusal here, they both used sponsorship letter (Verpflicherklärungen).

This friend of mine got her sponsorship letter from a reverend sister and yet, she was refused, I was also informed the reverend sister has a high profile, is a citizen, also a nurse and well connected in Germany.

For your sponsor to be qualified to give you the letter is not the issue sometimes, your relationship with the person also matters, because without strong ties with the reverend sister for example, the Applicant might become a liability, the Allien office considers all these in forming a decision.

Most times, if the person is a relative, it's 50/50 and if it's non relative, it can be 30/70

Also, The German Embassy only have more authority on visiting and tourist visa. Long term stay like family re union and student visa applications approval or rejection is decided directly by the Homeland / Allien office in Germany.

The letter she received states that;

"Your means of subsistence in Germany is not ensured"

Only God knows what the Allien Authority have seen that made them say this.

And God knows best.

Please, find a copy of the full letter below.

Also, you need not to show that you're desperate, I've heard the case of a boy who used two sponsorship letters and he was refused on the basis that he's desperate.

I'd love to suggest that we think well before taking risks that'll later cost us a lot.

I heard having being refused once also has its implications on further application, let's do things right.

Thank you.

Hallo alle zussamen.

The consulate have asked me to send a letter of Withdrawal, signed, so that I can be mailed my original documents, they sounded nice to me. So bis Wintersemester 2018 In Sha Allaah. I have learned a lot through this platform and I have met friends who have been very supportive. May God reward you all abundantly.

I heard it is better to withdraw than to get rejected, guess being rejected has a negative effect, a friend told me a little "grin" sign is written at the back or somewhere on Visa page.

Below is the message I got from the Consulate:

Dear Sir,

thank you for the update.

Unfortunately you will have to re-apply as we do not keep the application for the next semester.

Please send me a withdrawal letter (signed possible as an email attachment), so I can send back the Original documents to you.

Sincerely yours,

It would have ended. Thanks a lot for your concern dear.
Lammydamsel:

Hi, you can send a mail to the embassy soliciting to fund at a latter date instead of the Feb. 19 deadline provided that your enrollment wouldn't have ended by then.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 3:53pm On Feb 10, 2018
Youre right brother. I'll do just that
Blazykid02:

It seems you applied for studienkolleg if I'm right.... George August University Göttingen?? If it's studienkolleg, if you can't meet up the Aufnahme Prüfung there's no need telling them to give you more time Cox it of no use.. Instead you can explain to them the issue so you won't have to do another interview.. You would only present your new admission letter.

Ach so, thanks. I'll write them if they can allow me submit new Admission letter for winter, my school portal opens next month
pitapromiz:
No.... even if they do.... it's not advisable to make the journey.. it may turn out to be a waist of time and money.... as your permit won't be extended. Some were victims of that last winter.... another is the risk of deportation
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 11:40pm On Feb 09, 2018
Will the embassy still issue Visa even after enrollment deadline or the exam one is going to write has passed? Some are asking me to request more time, If I do, I'll miss my exam, I believe the embassy works with the date on the admission letter, the best option I've seen so far is to tell them I will use the application for Winter semester. What do you all think? Thanks

Bro, I'm to write an Examination on March 2, you think the embassy will agree?

Withdraw? meaning I'll re-apply afresh? sheisse
Metabolite01:

Oh, sorry about that.
Just give a try in writing the embassy on that regard.
But in most cases, its about writing the embassy that you want to withdraw your visa application.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 9:28pm On Feb 08, 2018
I used blocked account opening confirmation from Fintiba, just to show I have a Blocked account, you can send the payment confirmation at a later after your interview.
Raylee:
Sorry to ask, did you submit your visa application without any proof of financial means? Is it possible? Bless

Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 3:50pm On Feb 08, 2018
Thanks baba
Blazykid02:

Yea metabolite1 has said it all to differ means to shift... And about not doing interview again yea if you have done your interview before and couldn't meet up because of some reason and if you are lucky enough not to get a rejection then you can mail the embassy why you would like to differ everything to the next coming semester. And the visa application would still be valid upon presentation of your new admission letter to the embassy.

Thanks brother. My school don't do deferment stuff, I have to re-apply, application opens next month 1st March for Winter semester, I will get my admission letter at least in three weeks after application. I haven't been rejected yet, I've been asked to fund before 19th Feb, I cannot meet up, but it'll be funded by month end/march. Should I inform the embassy that I want to defer? so that they'll be aware and not reject me, thanks.
Metabolite01:

To defer means to shift (or lemme say postpone or carry) ur current admission to a later semester (most times to the nxt semester).

Yes, if u defer, a new admission letter for d nxt semester will be sent to you, which makes ur current admission letter invalid, thereby making you no longer fit/qualified to go for the present/current semester visa application interview.

Depending on ur school, but most schools will send ur new admission letter almost immediately (couple of days or weeks depending on the school policies). Other schools may send it at a later time (a bit late) but definitely quicker and faster than those applying for a fresh admission.

If ur new admission letter comes early enough, u can use it to apply to d embassy immediately the embassy opens for dat semester visa application, which gives you an upper hand to get ur visa early enough. What I really dnt know of or what I'm not too certain of nw is if it is appropriate or acceptable to use ur let's say winter admission letter to apply for visa during summer visa application period, and vice-versa. Just do more findings on dat, although I "think" its possible.

When will appointment booking start for Winter semester or when is it likely that one gets Visa?
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 9:47am On Feb 08, 2018
Wow, super!. Thanks bro. but FORM A is usually in Dollars, I use stanbic, I was told form A rate is 360, I found it difficult converting to Euros
Hayor4real:

Go to the bank bro they will put you through bro
But I prefer form A it is usually better because you will not have to source for euros
But domicilary account you will need to source for euros I don't think bank will give you euros and it is faster I think within 2 days they will fund it for you
Good luck
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 9:34am On Feb 08, 2018
The Bank will put Euro in the account or I? I have 11 days to presernt this to the embassy, can I make it? bank things take long
Hayor4real:

Having a domiciliary account with the bank is usually faster but you will need to source for euros within two working days they will credit your fintiba account
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 9:12am On Feb 08, 2018
Thanks man, do you have an idea how long it takes to get the money inside the Fintiba account? I have very limited time now
Hayor4real:

The rate changes due to the forex it better you go to the bank they will tell you the amount equivalent to the amount fintiba request from you
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by ibnkokumo(m): 8:59am On Feb 08, 2018
What's the rate abeg? for FORM A?
Litolysis:
I greet those helping out here. You guys are great.

Am about funding my Fintiba account. Do I need any authentication from the Embassy before funding?
Secondly, is it good to buy Euro in black market and fund rather than form A? Please good advice

Yo leute, was geht ab? I need urgent response please, What does it mean to differ? a friend told me if one defers, you need not to sit for interview again. You only need to present new admission letter. How long will it take to get a Visa for winter semester if one defers? will I have to wait till maybe June/July? Thank you.
