Pope Francis has said gay people should not be marginalised but integrated into society. Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church’s position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not. He was responding to questions about whether there was a “gay lobby” in the Vatican. “If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge them?” He also said he wanted a greater role for women in the Church, but insisted they could not be priests. The Pope arrived back in Rome on Monday after a week-long tour of Brazil – his first trip abroad as pontiff – which climaxed with a huge gathering on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana beach for a world Catholic youth festival. Festival organisers estimated it attracted more than three million people. His remarks on gay people are being seen as much more conciliatory than his predecessor’s position on the issue. Pope Benedict XVI signed a document in 2005 that said men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies should not be priests. But Pope Francis said gay clergymen should be forgiven and their sins forgotten. “The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains this very well,” Pope Francis said in a wide-ranging 80-minute long interview with Vatican journalists. “It says they should not be marginalised because of this but that they must be integrated into society.” But he condemned what he described as lobbying by gay people. “The problem is not having this orientation,” he said. “We must be brothers. The problem is lobbying by this orientation, or lobbies of greedy people, political lobbies, Masonic lobbies, so many lobbies. This is the worse problem.” On the role of women in the Church, he said: “We cannot limit the Read more: http://nocoolstory.com/who-am-i-to-judge-gay-people-pope-francis/

After a protracted separation from her ex; Tony Eberiri, Nollywood screen goddess Chika Ike filled a motion at an Abuja high court. On Friday July 26th, she got what she wanted; a divorce! Chika broke the news herself on her facebook wall as depicted on the left According to the Vanguard Newspapers; Chika and Tony got married in 2006, but the marriage hit the rocks a few years later. Reactions have been mostly harsh and critical by compatriots in Nigeria who blasted the gifted actress. Some of such reactions include: “This should make you sober, reflective and a bit humbled not making joyfully and gleefully announcing it to the world. If you must know, you failed the most basic test or assignment any good woman can undertake. It is not a thing to be proud of and announce with joy. No matter the cause of your separation, it is still a failed test. Pls be sober and pray to God you get it right next time. Your star status will soon fade cos your girlish looks will soon dissappear. It is an inevitable and a natural order of things. Put aside your pride cool down and look for a good guy to be with. After all said and done your family will be the only thing you have. A word should be enough. I wish you well Chika.” by Ogugua Osakwe MD/CEO at Kuzuosworth NIG. LTD “I wonder what men see in Nollywood Actress as to want to marry them. Marry them today and divorce them tomorrow. Did I hear you say you want to marry a celebrity? Celebrity under my foot!”- Iro Igwe from Delta State University Read more: http://nocoolstory.com/reactions-as-african-actress-chika-ike-finalizes-divorce/

Unfortunately; because I don't have my Nigerian drivers license, I'm going to have to wait for 3 months to get the main license. I could only get a permit. So; if you are planning on moving over; please get a license cos it will make the process a lot easier and quicker for u.. Learn from my mistake... God bless y'all |

Kindly type "Royal Air Maroc Lagos office" on Google and d exact address will come up. It's in VI but I have forgotten d precise address... I paid 138k, but it may have been risen because this is holiday season... I wish you all d best. Merry Christmas... |
I'm using my Nigerian phone and it's working okay... I really don't think its a major issue: so don't get anxious about it. Just get ready for your trip and we hope to have you here soonest... @ Brightmon: Do you know if its possible for one to get at least a Driver's permit on d same day he goes to d DMV office? I plan to go there on Monday and take d test... I understand that it would take 3 months to get d license proper. I don't know why they can't just test someone right away and give him d License if he passes... What's your take on this? |
I"m so so relieved... I'm holding my GREEN CARD in my hands. I got it on d mail today- exactly 13 days since I enter this country! That's less than 2 weeks! Thanks guys for your advice... I followed it up yesterday by calling a cab company to get me a cab to d social security office,.. It was damn exppensive nd as d metre kept ticking, I almost had a heart attack! Luckily, d cab guy gave me directions on how to use d bus and get to a place close to home from which I can get a cab for 10 bucks... Thought I should share this with y'all... |
Thanks Torisch... I just sent u an email... Thanks a lot bro |
temmytanny: yesThanks bro |
I think you only need your IntL.PP and your contact address
Okay thanks bro |
temmytanny: cabs might be expensive but its best to have your SSN(SSA)and GC,with that all other things would go easily.Okay, but you didn't say what they asked you when you went to their office... what do I take along with me? |
In addition...the Driver's permit manual... does anyone have an online link where I can download it and be studying now that I hav nothing doing.. Thanks |
temmytanny: Thats why i keep thanking my host till date. He gave me his time at expense of his business. Just relax bro and try to see if you could do some walking around to the nearest shopping mall. You can apply for job once u get your GC and SSN,no matter how small it maybe just take it. Also use google and search for the nearest SSN office and also for local taxi that could take you there to do your SSN.Thanks bro... you're lucky... I have started using google to search for the Social Security office address and for cab numbers in this area... It's almost 3pm here so I'll just chill until tomorrow morning and call one of the cab numbers online and give them directions here... I just hope they no finish all my dollar savings... I was hoping they will automatically send SS card and GC to my address... but I've been reading experiences in this forum; and I think it's better I just find their office and apply in person... I wanted to ask; besides the passport; what other document did they request from you when u were doing your application for Social Security card? |
Ibrac,I said no worries na so the thing dey first do slow,I spent three months watching TV and eating, thank God for internet sha, you have to be patient naa ni, ask temmytanny too,the first three weeks is a must.try to google the direction from your house to the HSA office then you can work into any grocery shop closer to you to ask for a cab number(they normally keep Cab contact) but I will still ask you to wait for your host lead, life in America is just like that, number determines everything.
Thanks bro... I'll do as you've said |
If there were bus routes around here; I could have even gone myself- but there are none here in Mondsview Minnesota |
My bro, just take am cool, the beginning is always like that we all have a story to tell , so dont get disheartened you still have a brighter days ahead, have you check out the department for HOMELAND SEC.for your SSN?
Man, no car to take me go there... Everybody here is so time and work cosnscious... They say d oFfice is not on their direction and that I should wait... That's what I've been doing for almost 2 weeks now and I'm tired... So I'm just hoping they mail it so that I find other alternatives |
temmytanny: Guys ,America sweetooooo but only for those that are hardworking and focused. Been busy of late and BABA GOD has been making and opening new ways for me.I'm happy for you bro.. I'm thinking of relocating from here after I get my GC and SSN... My host hasn't had time for me- and d only means of movement here is if u have aa car... Even if I get a job here; I have no clue how I'll b moving from place to place... So house; pls pray for me If I get a job in another city with transportation easy; I wouldn't mind moving over n paying for house rent... Anyway its been about 10 days here and I'm told it will take 21 days to get my GC and SSN... So house; it may b too early to complain- but keep me in your prayers as u look out for other oportunities for me |
@saddy101.wth d look of things regards to d flight stuf Air Royal Marroc is now high i cld rmemba ibradacabra travelled wth ds same airline wth jst 139k why now 149k? jst curious
Yea I paid 138,350 for my Air Maroc flight to NY- but you know as Christmas approaches; these things rise cos this is holiday season. After flying with them; I'll recommend Air Maroc to anybody wishing to Ĝø to NYC on d cheap. 1. It is cheaper than Qatar and other cheap alternatives 2. The stop over time is just under 2 hours as against Qatar's 8 hours 3. They serve food at least 3 times throughout d trip- not counting cups of tea and small chocolate It may not b A class and d arabic-tainted English of d inflight crew may knock you off your feet; but hey, that's better than giving British Airways 320 grand! |
jidex001: Hi Soji, what about undergraduate student. You know the school won't want to release transcript to the student. And what I read in the d website of wes. Is that the sch should package the transcript with the form and it should be counter sign the envelope. I am still confuse on how the fees will be paid. Pls can you talk about it.Fees would b paid to WES for d evaluation.... Just concern yourself with having your school mail your transcripts to them. When that is done; you can now pay online for your WES evaluation... If you have problems with payment procedure; u can always contact them via telephone and I'm sure they'll b happy to direct you on how to Ĝø about it |
Ibrac.the letter handed to you by the CO for collection of VISA after a successful interview gives a comprehensive information of what to expect at the POE and the waiting period, you can also find a useful info on this USCIS site too http://search.uscis.gov/search?affiliate=82601b2ec&query=how+long+does+the+process+take enjoy the snow brodaman!
O boy. this waiting no funny o...lol.. I wanna start other processes and get to the 'job search' phase. Anyway; your link has been very helpful. Here are some things I want to highlight tho from of the links. It says here: 27 You do not need to fill out an application or go to a Social Security office to get a Social Security number if: • You asked for a Social Security number or card when you applied for an immigrant visa AND • You applied for an immigrant visa in October 2002 or later AND • You were age 18 or older when you came to the United States. Another part of the Document says: Contact the Social Security Administration if you do not get your card within three weeks after coming to the U.S. or if you change your mailing address after you come to the U.S. but before you receive your SSN card. You must go to a Social Security office to get a SSN if: • You did not ask for a Social Security number or card when you applied for an immigrant visa OR • You applied for your immigrant visa before October 2002 OR • You were under age 18 when you came to the U.S. So bro; does it mean that whether or not we visit the Social Service office; we'd still have our SSN sent to us? SECOND QUESTION: Another part of the USCIS document says: There are some things you must do to maintain your permanent resident status. These are also important to remember if you plan to apply for U.S. citizenship in the future. • Don’t leave the United States for an extended period of time or move to another country to live there permanently. • File federal, state, and, if applicable, local income tax returns. • Register with the Selective Service, if you are a male between the ages of 18 and 26. • Give your new address to DHS. My question is with item 3: What is the Selective Service all about because I fall into that category? The same document goes on to say: If you are a man and you are 18 to 26 years old, you must register with the Selective Service. When you register, you tell the government that you are available to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. The United States does not have a military draft now. This means that permanent residents and citizens do not have to serve in the Armed Forces unless they want to. You can register at a United States post office or on the Internet. To register for Selective Service on the Internet, visit the Selective Service website: http://www.sss.gov. To speak with someone from the Selective Service, call 847-688-6888.This is not a free call. Sorry for the long post- any input will be appreciated tho |
The first letter is 1-797C, Notice of action that your VISA packet was received at the point of entry where you entered The United state, then your Green Card.Sometimes it depends on the State policy on the issuance of SSN some may have you wait for 21 days b4 you can apply.
Supp bro... I'm stuck in d 21 days waiting period here in America- and its getting very boring. Pls is there any link that explicitly details d processes u described above- i.e things that happen after point of entry and forms that will b received by d immigrant during this period. Such a link would b very helpful.... I remember u saying something about studying for driver's test; do u still have dat link as well? Kindly assist with both links- if available... Thanks a lot |
Yes find the dependment of HSA and apply. Omooba, the case of my green card was a little bit complicated, my proposed designation was Raleigh, North Carolina, and that was what I filled on my ds230 form,I latter changed it To Massachusetts when my proposed host claimed to have traveled out of United State when I called,All my document including the green card were sent to the former address within 20 days but I never had them and my proposed host said he never received it so I have to file for replacement at the cost of additional $450.
Chai! That must have been super stressful! I can't imagine d stress and uncertainty u endured- not to mention d financial expenses... So I'll just do d waiting game. |
They will mail you a welcoming letter first, then your green card later within 3 weeks, I will advice you locate the Department of Homeland Security Administration office in your area and register for your Social security card. All you need is your Nigerian passport with the Visa page before your green card arrives, then find the Drivers's manual for your area and study it for the driver's permit.
I'm just seeing this- thanks a lot for these info. It must have been my phone network; I shouldn't have pestered this house with further questions when they had already been answered- but just going thru this thread, I saw this response. So- many Thanks again |
