Thank u for this eye-opener... God bless u Can I get an address for the world evaluation centre where results can b sent to for evaluation? Bless u |
loconzo00: Hello DV Lottery gurus on this forum,( @adesojiaderemi, @brightmon, @getinger,@tiwanna,@temmytammy and all others) i've got a problem that needs your suggestions and advise. If you submitted very early (in may/early june), chances are that you'll get interviewed in January... One question before I move on; Isn't it possible to process your passport in Nigeria? I'm positive that if you came home to renew your passport, it wouldn't take 3 months. Now, another red flag I'd warn against (stand to b corrected by the house) is that since you haven't gotten your 2nd NL yet, you shouldn't write to the embassy to postpone your interview. Even if you have to reschedule, get your 2nd NL first... And since your wife is expecting in March, I believe God is purposely giving you a January interview date. But I have to point out that you are working on "many variables"... Your wife may being due for march doesn't mean she can't put to bed earlier. Your interview which you feel comes up in January isn't guaranteed yet (until you get your 2ND NL, all predictions have margins of error) and besides, we don't know airlines' policies on 9month pregnant ladies... In summary, I advice u renew your passport in Nigeria (for speed of processing, and besides your wife would need your presence)... And please don't write to push your interview forward when you haven't gotten an interview letter yet... And finally, pray about it and let God figure this out for you (instead of trying to figure it out yourself)... You have crossed d greatest hurdle- which is getting selected in d first place... Good luck pal |
look4all: Ibracadabra long time and how are you doingI'm doing good bro... Counting down to November... I'm optimistic and sure God won't let us down... Fortunately, my uni which hadn't given me my original certificate for over 4 years has eventually released it to me... Even though I know that my statement of degree is acceptable, this further boosts my confidence a lil... How r your preparations going? When are you current? Anyway, I'm already dreaming of America and d snow... lol |
Please, let's move on from this... Both gentlemen didn't handle this well... Adesoji, you could have simply pointed him to his initial post instead of using the "I have done a background check on him and he's fraudulent"... Up until that moment, Koolmd had been extremely polite in his approach. That said, Koolmd, there's no point trading words with Adesoji... He may have been rude in his approach, but he's initiated this forum page which is an immense resource of information and knowledge- that aside, he's got a strong point with u being honest with all posts... Even tho, its common practise for ppl to make posts in d second person when it actually refers to them or vice versa |
Yea- and what are your impressions about Minnesota? |
Pls does anybody know d e-mail address of d US embassy in Lagos? I only have their number, but would love to email em... Thanks |
emebeteaderashn: Hey sir,how u doin...have you seen my question?I'm doing good. I'm not sure I remember all your questions. But I recall you asking about when your 2ND NL would b ready.. I think you've been advised aptly by the other members of d room. Patience is key. If this helps, here's some of my data: CN: 2013SAF00007*** Ist NL- May 1st Sent to KCC- May 4th Received by KCC: May 7th 2ND NL: September 20th I'll b interviewed next month. So from all these, you can make your rough calculations... Ensure you didn't type your email erroneously- I'm sure I did and that's why I didn't get an email from them (my email z too long and I suspected it might b a hindrance) Anyway, I always logged into the www.dvlottery.state.gov and used my CN to check my profile and mayb u should try it from time to time esp when ppl on Nairaland start saying they've gotten emails. If you haven't, just log in and check to c if your 1st NL has been replaced. Goodluck |
emebeteaderashn: Anyone in the house...?Yup |
Hey guys my case n is 00018*** n when do i expect my appointment time
My prediction would b march- but that is only a calculated guess. It could come earlier- not later. But it also depends on when you submitted your forms back to KCC. D best way to keep tabs on this is to closely follow each month's visa bulletin. As at d moment, november figures are contained in September's visa bulletin- which shows that folks with CN of 8,500 and under get interviewed in November (again depending on how early d forms reached KCC)... The figures for december will b out this month- and should hit at least 11k (not guaranteed tho- just a wild guess)... So u can follow this estimation and figure what month your 18*** falls under... All d best |
The coverage of the brutality and viscous violence endured by Ugonna, Llyod, Elkannah and Chidiaka- all students of the University of Port Harcourt- has reached a crescendo with people from all walks of life condemning the savage brutality that led to their deaths. Cruise Nigeria has been keeping tabs on the aftermath of the barbaric act and have spoken to a family member of Elkannah Tekena who explained how still shocked and horrified the entire family is. The family member for has asked Cruise Nigeria to reveal her identity, revealed that Elkannah was buried two days ago after extensive stitches to his burnt and severely battered body. “Yes, he’s been buried.” The family member confirmed, “We recovered his body and we stitched it the best as we could… It’s shocking the amount of brutality he and those boys endured. His body was beaten beyond repair, but yes, we’ve buried him. We’re from Kalio Ama in Okirika Local Government Area, and in our custom, if you have endured the brutality, injuries and violence Elkannah endured, your body cannot be buried in town. So our 19-yr old boy was taken across and deep into the forest to be buried.” The family source earlier stated that the family was still in shock and http://www.cruisenigeria.com/2012/10/uniport-murders-our-boy-has-been-buried-in-the-forest-family/?preview=true&preview_id=12161&preview_nonce=9401cc9c0f |
honeydee: thanks. really grateful. can i ask sm1 to get it or do i hav to go myself? You'd have to go yourself for the police report. Nobody should get it done for you as you'll have to b fingerprinted among other things... |
Don Kool: Had my interview today.Congratulations... When you say "all necessary documentation", does that include affidavit of support? |
Ok...thanks adesoji |
temmytanny: Hi allThanks a mill Temmy. Is your source a successful interviewee of an embassy worker? Anyway, Just curious, but I trust your judgement... Now, I made a clumsy mistake by filling a "first school leaving certificate" among certificates obtained in the forms I sent. That is, primary school leaving certificate- and I just realise that I don't know where mine is anymore. I know it's not a necessary certificate, as WAEC and B.A covers that, but I'm very worried that because I filled it in the forms, that they'd ask me to provide it... I hadn't been on nairaland when I sent my forms, else I would have known better than to include a needless certificate which I do NOT have! I'll need your suggestion on how I can proceed with this and also want to use this medium to exhort everybody who is yet to submit his/her forms, to b as careful as possible... Temmy, thanks a lot. You predicted way back in June that my CN would b current in November and that has turned out exactly as you said. Can't thank u enough for your guidance and I look forward to disturbing u a lot more often until I get to the land of opportunity :d |
ferdiii: I do not expect everyone to come back. Some got their visas and chose not to share and some did not get and did not come back either. I did not get mine and I am here. That is ecosystem!Sorry to take u back, Ferdiii... I can't even imagine how tough it must have been to get selected for further processing and then after waiting for months, fail an interview... Do u now know exactly why u were denied a DV visa? And could you pls share it or if u have already done so, could u direct me to the page u previously shared it? I understand if u refuse this request, but it could help guys like us, so we don't make d same mistakes... Thanks a lot. Plus I salute your immense courage |
DV 2013 Program: The online registration period for the 2013 Diversity Visa Program (DV-2013) began on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), and concluded on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4). See the Diversity Visa Program Instructions webpage for more information. Entrants in the Diversity Visa 2013 program may now check the status of their entries through Entrant Status Check on the E-DV website through September 30, 2013. Review more about Entrant Status Check. DV 2013 Entrants: Please keep your confirmation number until at least September 2013, even if you were not selected on May 1, 2012. The Department of State may select more DV 2013 entries on October 22, 2012 at noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4). I copied this from the visa section of the travel.state.gov website. So it is definitely 22nd oct. What is even more interesting is that they now require 2013 entrants to keep their CNs until next year! So I'm wondering why? Is it possible that they'd conduct another draw after this oct 22nd draw? I think so, based on this notification. Anyway, it's just observation... I wish goodluck to those of you awaiting selection... |

When Franklin Tah Soh left his native Bamenda Cameroon for greener pastures in Nigeria, he had no clue he was headed for his cruel and untimely death. The young Franklin found his way into Lagos and showed both industry and honesty- as testified by co-workers and acquaintances- in his dealings at the Midafam Nigeria Limited situated in the heart of the Agege suburbs of Lagos. Cruise Nigeria learnt that Franklin discovered extensive fraud perpetrated by two coworkers at Midafam. He reported their activities and that immediately led to the sack of those two workers involved in the theft which we can confirm, ran into hundreds of thousands of Naira monthly. One of the sacked workers- Moses Adeshola from Oyo State- didn't take his dismissal in good faith and returned to the shop- swearing that "you people will see what will happen here". Dismissing his rants as bluffs of an aggrieved man, the management did not report the threats to the police, but they would soon rue this costly mistake. On sunday morning- the 23rd of September, at about 5 am, Franklin- the honest Cameroonian who burst their bubble- got a call from Moses who claimed he wanted to buy some cartons of noodles from the store. Moses said it was urgent, and while Franklin considered that an odd request, he went nonetheless, but called his girlfriend to inform her of his strange call from Moses and that he was going to meet him in the Agege store. The pictures on this write-up were the next sightings of Franklin. His head was smashed repeatedly against the wall and floor until Franklin passed out. The Police from the Isokoko police station were immediately alerted to the gruesome murder scene.... Source: /p20KYX-32K |
hituneu: I will try to deal with fearThere is nothing to fear but fear itself... I believe that if God was kind enough to choose you as one of the selectees, then he'll definitely finish the work he started. You just gotta b honest, that's all. Don't get entangled with a girl- and claim "marriage", when you're not. Don't lie to make yourself look good. If you really wrote your WAEC and Degree yourself, if that pretty girl whom you're taking along with you is lawfully your wife, then why fear? I'm still waiting for my interview, but I already know too well, that all I need to do is pray, prepare and speak only the truth. I don't have fear on my agenda. You shouldn't either... |
idoo4love: how did you receive ur 2nd NL.....was it via mail orThe 2nd NL is NOT mailed to anybody as KCC, by policy, do not send notification via mails. You only receive an Email from them telling you to log in with your confirmation number (the same you used to check your initial notification letter). So basically, you visit the same www.dvlottery.state.gov and follow exactly d same procedure u used when checking your status. The first NL should b replaced by a fresh Interview Invitation letter (or 2nd NL) which gives u d time and date for your interview. My own mail got into the spam folder- so I'll advice you to check that as well- especially IF your CN falls below 8500 and IF you submitted on time... |
ogbonlowob: I really believe this is uncalled for by both of you. Sincerely, you started it all look4all. If u were confused, u cld have said it in a more polite manner. Although Ibacadabra was provoked by your rude remarks, he shouldn't have gotten angry n used d word slowpoke. Look4all, u need to swallow ur pride n apologise for ur initial remarks instead of putting more fuel on fire. Pls. Withdraw ur last response/thread n apologise now if u must truly show maturity. It cost u nothing. U will b rewarded! Follow the path of Ifeanyabdul who appologised on the English debate n swallowed his pride. I am sure he realised that even Patience Ebele Jonathan whose English has contour has been to U.S., n many other countries. Thanks Ogbonlowob. I have decided not to stoke the flames of my earlier outburst any further... I apologise for calling look4all any names- because not to apologise would constitute a lack of respect on my part to everybody who has helped me on my visa sojourn. I declared receiving my 2NL and gave my CN range only to help those with uncertainties about d release of d 2nd NL (for interviews due in November). I didn't think this step would earn me an attack or accusation of planting confusion. Else, I could as well keep quiet and watch like thousands of others reading and enjoying this beautiful forum without dropping a contribution or sharing an experience. |
look4all: Please stop confusing people, saw your post yesterday and i checked mine and notting it was still showing the first notification letter of been selected and i called them at the kcc center and they specifically told me thay have not started sending out the second N.L till the end of this month or can check back in 3weeks time, then the 2012 fiscal year would have ended oo .so please house help o @Tammytemmy and other guru in the house@look4all you're a slowpoke! How am I confusing ppl by saying I received my 2ND NL? Why on earth would I lie with something as important as that? If you have nothing meaningful to say, shut your trash and don't slander ppl... slowpoke! |
Yembe, yea... My CN is 7*** and I have my 2ND NL for November by 7am... Try logging in with your Confirmation Number even if you've not gotten d email... I haven't gotten an email- so I'm guessing it's either in my spam folder, or I made a mistake with d email I wrote on d forms I sent back |
I just got my 2nd NL too... I didn't get an email tho. But I decided to log into their portal with my confirmation number- and there it was! Wish us luck fellas. My CN = 7*** |
Sami-83, ok, now I understand... I don't think that should b a problem. You should simply fill your forms and send to KCC- indicating therein what consulate you would like to have your interview. (I'm guessing Ethiopia should be more straightforward)... And back to your question, I'm sure your Ugandan student visa will not complicate or hinder your American DV visa. What you should do now is fill d forms correctly and send back to KCC so that they can start processing your case... All d very best |
@ Sami_1983, your question is a bit confusing. I don't understand the "student visa part"... If you're already schooling in an Ethiopian University, I don't get how your student visa comes into play or why you even need one. If you could please shed some more light on what you mean |
Lol... I'm enjoying d english language debate. But as Gentiger said, it's important to polish your english language skills. It may not b written, but I'd like to think that your inability to express yourself in clear and coherent English may work against you in your interview. I'll advise anyone who has such problems to use this grace period to work on it. And to give "short" answers during d interview to avoid being asked to "explain further"... Anyway, I'm due for November and my 2NL impatience is approaching feverpitch... How una take dey kill time sef? I wish I had a job or smth to take my mind off this for a while. Gentiger baba, I gather ur interview should come around dec... How r u preparing? |
Thanks Adesoji... God bless u... So with a budget of roughly 400 grand, an unmarried applicant is good to go... |
