but we need to give that nonsense some sense, by asking ourselves , why since the death of Aba Kyari the president has refused to give a live broadcast ?... Even when Kyari was sick AIT was ban from Aso villa...I dont understand , there is still some sense in that nonsense of that namadi kanu... It is clear that the president is not fit health wise , President has said this countless of times right from his first broadcast to Nigerians in 2015( where he said his health and age will not permit him to work as expected that Nigerians should not expect miracle)....my question is that can't he resign let the viable Prof VP , continues ??...why are we like this in Africa ?... everybody in the govt are just working parallel in their selfish interest , imagine the school feeding program even when school is shut down ?...or is Nigeria cursed ?...what have we done ?.

Well, I will not rubbish your opinion sir.

But don't let us shy away from the fact that There is division in the country which will always justify my use of the word "HOST"

If we can send away Almajiri from Southern Nigeria then I have every right to call myself a host, are almajiris not Nigerian?
If a certain ethnic group can carry out a coup targeted at others.
A major ethnic group being referred to as betrayers. And lots more.

The above justified my use of HOST.

But who do we blame? What is the way out?
The way out is separation and the last ethnic group to call for division is Ndigbos because their Foremost Leader was the only one that supported removal of succession clause.

Restructuring : Nigeria was practicing Regional government before an Igbo man abolished it.
Today the ethnic group clamouring for Division and restructuring are the Ndigbos.

The blame should be on diversity (an Ndigbos for supporting it from the start).

Personally I wouldn't blame Buhari because if I were him I will Care for my tribe more than others.

Igboid:
Your unification against Fulanis explained my point.
You were united by common hate for Fulanis.

Once the Fulanis were out of the way, you fell back to fighting each other. You couldn't find an abstract thing to replace the hate with.

Hate is a good way to unite people.
But it shouldn't be hate for others. It should be hate for abstract things.
For example, the Igbos are all over the world both in slavery and at home united by hate for subjugation, retrogression, failure and marginalization.
In modern times, we hate Nigeria as an entity because she embodies the above characteristics.

We only hate you when you are seen to be supporting and promoting things we hate.
For example, it would appear Igbos hate Yorubas, when in truth, it's Yorubas penchant for subtly fighting to keep Igbos in Nigeria that we hate.
The Igbo is united by hate for failure or retrogression which was why Buhari could never sell in SE despite having two Igbo VPs, and while Abia and it's leadership are continuously bashed currently by other Igbos.
This is very deep and full of wisdom.

This ain't for the ordinary. This is for the discerning, for those who read between lines to see the big picture.

But comrade,I bet you, they will misconstrue and misunderstand and misinterprete you.

Well, I am not really keen on the blame games. For the records, Awo and Gowon are also entitled to knocks in that regard, but exonerating Zik and Ironsi is a betrayal of history. In the pre-independence, Zik paraded himself as a core nationalist and sought sought to undermine the regional structures and mutate self determination. He effectively convinced the NPC to remove the secession clause from the constitution. He favoured the centralization of powers to put the destines of all the peoples in common hands. Ironsi issued unification decree 34 which shattered the then viable federalism. Although the decree was short lived, I believe it prepared the psychosocial groundwork for the later undoing of Gowon who acted to salvage the country from dissolution. And don't forget that if Ironsi had done the needful, we may not have had a war.

That said, I wish the country was successfully torn apart then. I also blame Awo for his culpability in the wreckage of the then viable federalism. And
Nobody is exonerating the likes of zik and ironsi of any past misdeeds.
All our past leaders from the south made one blunder or the other. And the land was not as doomed then as it is now.
And I'm very sure those men wouldn't have made those blunders if they knew the north would become internal colonialists, holding everyone to ransome today.

But,for God's sake, can't we lay all those unnecessary weights and bloody past aside and concentrate and think of ways to forge ahead for our common good?

For example, look at the entire heads of boards of all fed govt petroleum and maritme agencies that have their sources in the south, all headed, occupied and run by northerners!!! And here we are, blaming ourselves for things that happened before Christ!!!!!

I grew up in the south south. Uptil today I can't point out what the Yoruba's did to us that has warranted our hatred for them.

I have researched a lot about awolowo he was not a bad guy as most people would want us to beleive, his 20 pounds policy was generosity, as at that time everybody protested against it, even our so called south south brothers, that not only protested against it, but used the opportunity to seize our properties especially in port Harcourt.

Awolowo made sure all the Igbo properties were kept, even rents were kept for us till we came back and it was given to us, our people forget so soon.

Only 3years war made our people suffer for decades later, do u know what would have happened if that war continued more than 3years we would have lost a bulk of our population. Alot of people would have let it rage so we will keep suffering and dieing but one policy ended a war that has raged on for years in months. The starvation policy.

All those pictures of hungry children was not caused by it, all those kids were already hungry before the policy. His policy saved them from suffering more by shortening there suffering.

To me the man is a hero
Please leave Awolowo out of all these current bulshyttt. Do you think if he were alive today,he would approve of what the yorubas are doing today?

The single fact that the yorubas bullied the SS and worked against Jonathan, against other south in favour of a northerner 2014 is an abomination!!!! An unforgivable abomination.
If gej wasn't an incumbent president,or if they had worked in favour of another southerner,it would've been a bit different.
The north will never do that.

The only way they can make amends is by supporting someone from SS it SE come 2023 otherwise, they remain an abomination to the south.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Has ‘northernised’ NNPC, 7 Out Of 9 Board Members Are Northerners — Femi by Iceberg3: 8:04am On May 17, 2020
Gjrich:
One of President Muhammadu Buhari’s critics, Mr. Femi Aribisala has accused the President of playing the tribal card over key appointments in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Femi Aribisala alleged that 7 out of the 9 members of the NNPC Board are from a section of the country.

He said that this section of the country has no crude oil but its people are benefitting from juicy positions in the Oil Corporation.

In a series of Twitter messages, Femi Aribisala took time to list the key positions in the NNPC and the occupants

He said, “The North does not produce oil, nevertheless, he [Buhari] has Northernised the oil industry. Out of the 9 members of the NNPC Board, 7 are Northerners.”

On the positions and occupants, Femi Aribisala wrote, “Key Management positions held by Northerners in NNPC are Mele Kolo Kyari, Group Managing Director (GMD); Umar Isa Ajiya, Chief Finance Officer, Finance, and Account; Yusuf Usman; Chief Operating Officer, Gas & Power.

Farouk Garba Sa’id, Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Services; Mustapha Y. Yakubu, Chief Operating Officer, Refining, and Petrochemicals; Hadiza Y. Coomassie, Corporate Secretary/Legal Adviser to the Corporation.

“Omar Farouk Ibrahim GGM, International Energy Relations, IER; Kallamu Abdullahi GGM, Renewable Energy; Ibrahim Birma GGM, Governance Risk and Compliance; Bala Wunti GGM, NAPIMS; Inuwa Waya MD, NNPC Shipping.

“Musa Lawan MD, Pipelines & Product Marketing, PPMC; Mansur Sambo MD, Nigeria Petroleum Development Company, NPDC; Lawal Sade MD, Duke Oil/NNPC Trading Company; Malami Shehu MD, Port Harcourt Refining Company.

Muhammed Abah MD, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company; Abdulkadir Ahmed MD, Nigeria Gas Marketing Company; Salihu Jamari MD, Nigeria Gas and Power Investment Company Limited.

“Mohammed Zango MD, NNPC Medical Services; Sarki Auwalu Director, Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR.”
NNPC - MELES KYARI

DPR - SARKI AUWALU, DIRECTOR. CEO, DANTANI BABA LADAN.

PTDF - BELLO ALIYU GUSAU

PPPRA - ABDUKADR SAIDU UMAR

PPMC - BALA WUNTI

The entire fed petroleum agencies are all headed by northerners!

But instead of us southerners join hands together and tackle these retrogressive people, these dogs in other people's manger, all they, the likes of diplomat058,simbrixton,helinus,all they will continue to say is how zik is responsible for the country's problems!!!

PoliticsRe: 2023: The SE/SS Should Work Against The SW, Even If It Means North Retaining Pow by Iceberg3: 7:44am On May 17, 2020
gidgiddy:
There is an unwritten rule in Nigerian politics that power should rotate between the North and South every 8 years, for the sake of equity and fairness. No sooner had Buhari won his second term than the political calculations of 2023 started.

While most people in Southern Nigeria believe that power should move to the South after Buhari would have concluded his 8 years in 2023, the question is which of three zones in the South, SW/SE/SS, should it go to?

If equity and fairness is why the Presidency should come down to the South in 2023 then the SW has no business producing the President that year!

The South West have had their 8 years with Obasanjo, the SS have had 4 years with Jonathan while the SE has not had a shot at it yet. Since the SW have had their 8 years in this democratic dispensation, it is only fair that when the Presidency rotates to the South in 2023, it should either go the SS, to enable them complete their 8 years, or go to the SE who have not had it at all

If the SW insist on taking a shot at the Presidency in 2023, then it means that fairness and equity does not mean anything to them. Therefore, the SE/SS should work against the SW producing the President, even if it means power staying in the North.

To support SW Presidency in 2023 will amount to giving the the SW a 'third term' when the other two zones in the South are yet to equal the two terms the SW have already had.

The SE/SS should say NO to a 2023 SW Presidency! If the SW insists on cheating the rest of the South in 2023, then let the whole South be cheated!
You need not bothered yourself, that's exactly what's gonna happen.

Well, the choice of Buhari wasn't irrational, to me, in 2015. GEJ performed below expectations and people decided to try Buhari. You know the rigidity of his tenure in the '80s also helped give credence to the APC campaign narrative that Buhari would stamped out corruption, and it worked of course. You can't deter people from exercising their rights of choice.

Besides, the SW is a liberal region, not conservative like many others. The voting ratio was 60:40 in favour of Buhari, but you guys don't talk about the 40% at all. That is prejudice, I think.
