pansophist:Done. Thank you. The world will be a better place if we have more men like you. ![]() |
pansophist:@pansophist, Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. Your moniker "pansophist" truly reflects the breadth and depth of your contributions here. PS-. I understand you prefer to maintain your privacy, but if you don't mind, I would like to know how to reach out to you directly. Hopefully, you will be open to this, but if not, I will continue to learn from your immense contributions here. |
I have always admired pansophist writings, especially when he provides simple analogies to explain complex ideas/situations while maintaining depth. His valuable insights on issues ranging from global politics to human nature are truly remarkable, demonstrating he is well-travelled and read. |
DaddyCoool:You raise a valid point about the potential gap between theory and practice. Indeed, real-world situations often require adaptability and creative solutions that may not align with predetermined strategies or "laws." Books like "The 48 Laws of Power" aren't necessarily meant to provide rigid rules but to provide a framework for decision-making, which can then be adapted depending on the specific situation. I think "Laws" in the title can be misleading; it should have been named "The 48 Principles/Observations of Power" Lolz.. |
DaddyCoool:I understand your point about Robert Greene's appearance. However, it's important to recognise that those who can articulate and analyse ideas are often different from those who execute or embody them. Great thinkers and writers like Greene can offer valuable insights without necessarily being the most powerful or charismatic individuals themselves. The most influential entrepreneurs aren't always the best teachers, and the most insightful philosophers aren't always effective leaders. While there are exceptions who demonstrate both qualities, like Marcus Aurelius (who was both a great philosopher and leader), these are not the rule. The value of Greene's work lies in its ideas and analysis, rather than in his personal embodiment of power. |
My favourite philosopher is Friedrich Nietzsche. I first encountered his work 15 years ago while reading "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene. In the introductory chapter, Greene quotes Nietzsche: "The value of a thing sometimes does not lie in that which one attains by it, but in what one pays for it." This quote struck me as incredibly deep. Nietzsche's writings are not just analytical and sharp, but also poetic and artistic. As I read his books, I often found myself in awe, wondering how someone could think, see, and write with such profound insight. One of Nietzsche's famous statements is, "It is my ambition to say in ten sentences what everyone else says in a whole book." While some might consider this claim egotistical, I believe it accurately reflects his remarkable ability to distill complex ideas into concise, powerful statements. His thought process is truly extraordinary. |
This is a victim mentality, Please stop it. There are certain things in life, we didn't chose, and the family, with which we are born into is one of them. Our energy should be focused on things we can change and not things we can't. Rather than complaining, see this it an an opportunity to show the world the stuff you are made of and that you can rise above difficulties and challenges. You can't change the family you are born into but you change the family that will come through you. |
BMW 5 Series MSport. I have always loved the BMW brand. For me it's simply Beauty and Machine on Wheels. |
Impressive! @OP can you share with us the timeline of this seaport and when precisely it would be functional? |
Ilaumoh:Well, there isn't much information available online as regards to the status of the MRO. If you do have a reliable link, kindly share to substantiate your assertion. If I may ask what's the anticipated completion date of the MRO and is it a PPP? |
While this is a positive news, I think the celebration is unnecessary at this stage . AkwaIbom Govt should be looking at getting the MRO fully functional as quickly as possible. Then in 5 years time, start looking at how to explore space. |

Aden777:We have got a couple of them already detailing the inside story of the extraordinary Trump presidency: The Trump show (my favourite) and The Trump Effect. I am thinking the lady in this picture orchestrated this in order to get back to Trump! After this incident, she lost her job as a government contractor. Well, she used this picture as a key part of her campaign to win a local government seat in Virginia county. Now, she serves as a board member that supervises the county where Trump's National Golf Course is located.

I am interested in making use of an SMS API in my application and I am looking for a platform that offers a cheaper price(and of course very reliable) compared to Twilio and Amazon SNS and possibly domiciled here in Nigeria. |
Alhamdulillah! |
Hmmm...It won't be a bad idea to hang out with a female nairalander during my vacation trip to Dubai this December o. Do we have any lady here who will be in Dubai during December, interested in a tête-à-tête? |
ahiboilandgas:Behind every great fortune, there is an equally great crime. The crime spectrum could stretch from violating antitrust laws to murder. If you dig meticulously into the past of the "normal rich billionaires" we have today, you will realise that they are not as clean as they claim to be. |
moonraker:In this case, there is no difference. He is simply a businessman whose product is Christianity. If you really want to succeed in any business in Nigeria, these businessmen of God are the people you look up to as they have perfected the art. |
