A schoolboy who measures a whopping 6ft 6in is believed to be the world’s tallest eight-year-old at – twice the size of many of his classmates.

Karan Singh, from Meerut in India, has been a record breaker all his life, entering the Guinness Book of Records as both the heaviest and tallest baby at birth.

Now his Dad Sanjay, 41, hopes his son’s amazing height will be recognised again.

“When Karan was born, he weighed 7.8 kg and was over 63 cm in length. So that got him into the record books instantly.

“Then, when he was five-years-old, he got the record for being the tallest toddler. He is eight now and I want to get him into the Guinness Records again,” said Sanjay whose son is already his height.

Karan is not the tallest in his family and seems to owe his extraordinary height to mum Shweatlana, 33, who was named India’s tallest woman with a towering height of 7ft 2in.

Shweatlana, 33, is a basketball player and has represented India in numerous national and international sports events.

Although it’s not clear what has caused their lofty height, there is the possibility that both mum and son have an excess of the growth hormone.

Sanjay said: “We take Karan to an endocrinologist regularly. Until now, the tests have not shown any problems and everything is normal. Karan has a good stamina and has no internal problems.

“I am a naturopath by profession and I make sure that we follow a special diet and supplements along with a healthy day to day lifestyle.”

Despite towering above his classmates, Karan manages to do everything his smaller friends do.



He said: “After finishing my homework, I play with my friends and then I go play basketball with my mother; she started teaching me since I was five years old and I want to play basketball like her, but I also like science a lot.”

The family attracts a lot of attention when they step out together, but say their main problem is getting clothes and shoes in their enormous sizes.

Shweatlana said: “When Karan was born, he didn’t fit into regular baby clothes. We had to get clothes for a six month old baby for him.

“At the age of three, clothes for a 10-year- old would fit him. Now, his shoe size is already 12 and sometimes we don’t get that in the markets and have to get them made.”

Mum and son have the same shoe size and often wear each other’s, and Karan’s clothes are often especially made for him.

Shweatlana said. “My clothes have to be stitched specially. I don’t even find bangles or sandals in my size. Now we get Karan’s clothes tailor made as well.”

Far from being embarrassed by his height Karan has said he would like to keep growing.

He said: “I like that I am tall and that my mom is tall. I want to be taller than my mom and make my parents proud.

“But if I have to choose between becoming a doctor and a basketball player, I will choose basketball for sure.”

And proud mum Sweatlana insists that her and her son’s stature is nature’s gift.

She said: “As they say, a tiger’s son grows up to become a tiger. Karan is also the son of a tigress. He will grow up to be a tiger.”

Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of defrauding Spanish experts of €14.7million in expenses in the vicinity of 2011 and 2014.

The Spanish prosecutor's office in Madrid recorded a claim against the soccer star on Tuesday.

In an announcement, the prosecutor's office said Ronaldo had purposely utilized a "business structure" made in 2010 to conceal his wage in Spain from his image rights.

The claim depends on a report sent to the prosecutor's office from Spain's tax agency AEAT, it said.

Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly become the father of surrogate twins. The twins, a boy and a girl called Eva and Mateo, were born on Thursday according to Portuguese TV channel SIC.


'Mateo and Eva, those are the names of Cristiano Ronaldo’s twins,' the channel claimed. 'The boy and girl were born to a surrogate mum. It’s a secret that Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t yet revealed to the rest of the world.'

The whereabouts of the children was not revealed by the TV station, who also didn't have pictures of the babies.

Ronaldo, 32, is yet to dismiss or confirm the news, but a report published by a UK newspaper back in March, states that the Portuguese legend is due to become the father of twins boys.

It said a surrogate mother on the west coast of the US was heavily pregnant and was expecting the babies “very soon.”


The report makes sense, because it was how Ronaldo stunned the world back in 2010 when he announced the birth of his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr (Cristianinho) who is now six year old.

A Ghanian footballer who plays for Gefle in the Swedish second tier league, Kwame Bonus, has been sentence to two years in prison for reportedly raping and assaulting his wife of Swedish decent.

According to local media the 22-year-old Kwame Bonsu, will be deported from the country where he has been living since 2013 when he completes his punishment.

The court heard that the rape and beatings took place in the couple's apartment during an evening in November 2015 when he had refused to let her out.

As reported by local media, Bonsu repeatedly denied the charges levelled against him, but testimonies from his wife's relatives led the court to believed the victim's side of the story.

Kwame first met his estranged wife in 2014 when he was playing in the southern Swedish city of Mjölby. They married the following year.

A few months after the wedding, he signed a transfer to the town of Gävle, located about 300 kilometres away from Mjölby. Bonsu's wife had wanted him to stay to continue his studies and this caused serious rift in their marriage.

According to court documents, he will also have to pay 122,600 kronor ($14,000) in compensation to his wife, who is a Swedish national. His lawyer has appealed the sentence.

Arhinia is the partial or complete absence of an external nose, nasal cavity or olfactory system at birth.

Eli inspired many people after pictures of the smiling tot circulated online and his story was featured in media calling him a “miracle baby.” His father, Jeremy Finch, said Eli was as smart and happy as other kids. He smiled a lot and liked to give people fist bumps.

On Sunday, Finch confirmed that Eli had died in Mobile, Alabama just months after celebrating his second birthday.

The Lagos State Mobile Court sitting in Oshodi has sentenced a paramilitary officer attached to the Lagos State task force to one year imprisonment for stealing a Phantom 6 Techno mobile phone belonging to one Pastor Kingsley of Christ Church, Fadeyi, Lagos.

The convict, 34-year-old Moses Prince, a paramilitary officer deployed from Man-O-War to the agency in October 2016 stole the phone valued at N150,000 during an enforcement operation carried out at No. 22, Ereko Street, Fadeyi, Lagos.

Magistrate Lateef Owolabi sentenced the accused to one year imprisonment without any option of fine after he pleaded guilty to a one count charge leveled against him for stealing during the discharge of a lawful duty with the Lagos State Task Force contrary to Section 258 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.

Owolabi, who said the judgment was meant to deter other public officers from engaging in criminal activities, however, confirmed that the accused’s statement under caution where he admitted stealing the phone was used as evidence against him.

The suspect, who hails from Ukubia town in Bayelsa State, however, pleaded for leniency and promised never to indulge in such action again. He said: “I stole the phone inside a kitchen of the building where it was kept.”

Prosecutor Counsel, Ajibola Olumide, disclosed that all evidences tendered against the accused were not denied by him during the court proceedings.

However, Yinka Egbeyemi, chairman of the state task force, said the convict stole the phone at a recent enforcement carried out at Idi-Oro area of Mushin where hoodlums clashed recently. He said the convict voluntarily confessed to have stolen the said mobile phone during an interrogation carried out by the agency.

Egbeyemi stated that the agency carried out series of programmes where officers were lectured to shun criminal activities and be upright in the course of discharging their legitimate duties.

30-year-old Abdulahi Garuba has reportedly stabbed his wife, Falilat Saka to death over a heated disagreement on housekeeping allowance.

As per the report, Garuba has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his better half to death.

Garuba was among 13 suspects paraded on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Lokoja by the Kogi State Police Command.

The murder was said to have been committee at Ihima, in the Okehi Local Government Area of the state.

Garuba, who said he had been married to his late spouse, Falilat Saka, for as far back as 15 years, said they had been having disagreement over housekeeping allowance.

“On that day, she requested N4,000, but I gave her N2,000, which did not go down well with her. This led to an argument and in the process, I stabbed her and she died from the injury sustained in her neck region,” Abdulahi said.

The Oyo State Police Command have paraded a 20-year-old Ibrahim Babatunde for the abduction of his father.

Babatunde said he was the architect of the crime and that he did it with three other accomplices. Other members of the kidnap gang were Babuga Salihu, 20, Aura Sands, 20 and Amuda Yusufu, 19.

The state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, said Aliyu Babatunde was abducted in Igboora and spent three days in the den of his abductors. He added that he was released after the family paid N1 m ransom.

The 20-year-old said he was lured into kidnapping after his father turned a blind eye to the welfare of his children.

“My father married many wives and he doesn’t care for us. We are left to fend for ourselves. So, I think the only way to get money out of him is to organise his abduction and force him to part with the money. We collected N1m as ransom from our family.”

While revealing how the crime was planned and executed, Babatunde said he invited his friends after he was sure that the plan would succeed.

Odude said, “The victim was eventually taken to an unknown place where he was kept for some days by his abductors who later demanded ransom as a condition for his release. Initial arrest of one of the suspects by combined efforts of the local vigilante group , the police and further discreet investigation carried out by operatives of the Special Squad led to subsequent arrest of the kingpin and other members of the gang at their various hideouts in the state.”

A 19-year-old Pakistan woman, has been flogged with a death sentence after she was raped by her cousin at gunpoint. The victim was raped while sleeping at her family home in Rajanpur in Pakistan central punjab province.

She had reported the incident to panchayat, a local court that operates outside the official justice system in rural Pakistan. Instead of justice, the group turned on her accusing her of seducing her attacker.

Named only as Shumaila, the woman said: “I could not raise an alarm as Ahmed (her attacker) was holding a gun. But the panchayat refused to accept my statement and declared that I wilfully slept with him.”

Reports from Pakistan's Express Tribune assert the panchayat, which includes the alleged attacker's dad, found the victim guilty of infidelity, branding her a "kari" or adulteress.

As indicated by local media, Shumaila was then sentenced to death by stoning, a verdict she could spare herself from in the event that she consented to be sold off.

No move was made against the alleged attacker, named locally as Khalil Ahmed.

Dreading for her life, Shumaila, alongside her dad, swung to nearby police for help.

An investigation has been propelled into her ordeal, and a search warrant has been issued for members of the tribal council.

Three policemen reportedly lost their lives on Tuesday evening as their station was said to have been set on fire.

A police source confirmed the incident, saying that it took place after a conflict between some Navy officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The source added that, a misunderstanding happened at a check point opposite the Navy barracks in Akim area of the town.

He said trouble began after a police man stopped a naval officer at Akim police check point but allegedly refused to stop, leading to a shootout.

Legendary Golfer, Tiger Woods was arrested Monday for driving under the influence in Florida. The veteran golfer was arrested around 3.a.m Monday on military trail just south of Indian Creek Parkway in the town of Jupiter.

He was released on his own recognizance eight hours after his arrest, a spokesperson for the Jupiter police said it was not clear if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs or whether anybody else was in the car with him.

Tiger Wood released a statement after he was released, apologizing to his family, friends, and fans.

"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions," Woods said in the statement released Monday night. "I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly. A US Supreme Federal in NewYork has slammed an injunction against musical artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as BurnaBoy.

The injunction prevents him from performing at any event venue or any form of recording anywhere in USA & Canada for the time being unless he settles with the New York- based promotion company, Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, founded by promoter/producer, Niyi Fatogun.

Burna Boy is an independent artist signed under the Burna Boy Ltd and released his OAS LP under Spaceship Entertainment label that presently holds the copyright to all his music.

He was sued in the Federal Court by Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, on allegations that he signed a contract for 2016 USA & Canada Tour, failed to turn up, postponed the tour which put the promoter Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, in serious debt in the United States.

Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, was said to have invested up to $25,000 US Dollars in preparation and facilitating the tour.

The issue started after the promoter, Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, obtained USA Work Permit approval visa for Burna Boy, then Burna Boy failed to honour the contractual agreement

The promoter, Niyi Fatogun, hired professional entertainment lawyer, Takena Barango to represent Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, on Wednesday May17th, 2017, at the Supreme Court in New York.

The judge ordered a court injunction on Burna Boy outside US Tour, until Burna Boy Ltd settles the promoter for the financial loss Vibesland Entertainment, LLC, suffered due to breach of trust.
