RomanceRe: Some Of The Real Reasons Why Men Leave by iceman75(m): 11:38am On Sep 10, 2008
Hello all!!!
I've being observing several opinion on dis issue n tot i'd say something.
Anyone that critizises another sex is just showing frustration and is hiding desperation.
we should understand that men and women are different in several ways and there's bound to be argument sometimes.
'Forgive me if im wrong but' God created men and LATER created women to be a companion, trouble started when women started feeling they got the smae rite as men. I know it sounds stupid but it's the basis of everything. Men do crazy stuff (even responsible men) its the woman's job to try keeping the relationship at peace. Women do crazy things as well (even responsible women) its the man's job to give her attension and show concern. love your partner but expect tribulations sometimes, when they come, keep a cool head. As hard as it might seem, the crisis will pass and love continues.
Men and women have different attributes, we need to understand each-other and stop critizicing one another, except u wanna be Gay ( cant believe i just said that)

BusinessRe: University Or Business? by iceman75(m): 12:24pm On Oct 16, 2007
personally, i think the economy has a huge impact in our reasoning. do u know that in some places, graduates are regarded with esteem. if necessities are not expensive some people would want to live a quiet and noble life but that is impossible in Naija.
Consider this, would u rather be an illiterate rich man or an educated poor man.
Education gives u a bit of pride and broadens (or should broaden) ur ideas & iq, be it either formal or informal. the thing is for a sustainable economy we need professionals with managerial, technological and accounting skills, that is where formal education is inevitable.
BusinessRe: University Or Business? by iceman75(m): 10:08am On Oct 16, 2007
eddy, i thank u cos' we all had it in mind.
I experienced almost the same situation. Education is the best legacy but the Naija don change the way we reason.
If u've got all the PHD and u cant provide necessary necessities, i wonder.
i think all parents should try and incline their kids towards productive thinking and not just sitting at home during holidays.
If 75% of our graduates end up doing something thats completely different from what they had in mind, what does this signal to aspiring kids.
i studied mechanical engineering, finished with 2.1 but couldn't get a job, ended up working for someone that built his conglomerate and later did part-time in conputer science just to be known as a GRADUATE. i'm still under him, who win? lets not compare with the western world or we fit mad. God help us.
InvestmentRe: When Is MTN Coming To The Stock Market? by iceman75(m): 8:27am On Oct 12, 2007
@josho
'''The Nigerian capital market is not deep enough for MTN. Try computing 25% of MTN, and consider if the market is deep enough to absorb,
I can understand MTN not wanting to 'share' with Nigeria, but what about our very own globalcom, owned by just a few people? At least MTN is listed in SA.'''

It's a shame that u think the NSE is not deep enough for MTN, u've surely been ill-advised and u owe us an apology.
I support u on the Globalcom issue, but do they need funds? do u think companies go public to share their profit with us? think again.

PoliticsRe: Naira To Be Re-Denominated by iceman75(m): 12:54pm On Aug 16, 2007
Naira redomination will only make the naira acceptable in foreign/currency exchange. Agreed. angry
My doubt is,if the same problem/economic crisis that plunged the naira downward continues to linger, what happens? do we redominate again? undecided
Redomination will not affect the average nigerian.
Will redomination increase foreign investors when theres still problem in the niger delta? how will redomination help if there's still no power supply, will redomination increase our agricultural produce or increse industralization? will redomination put regular food on the table? redomination will not improve our life in anyway. angry
I think Nigeria should take the bull by the horn, improved economy will appreciate the value of the naira and better the life of the average nigerian.
Our currency has been abit stable and if emphasies are made to better the economy, the naira will 'smile' smiley smiley
PoliticsRe: Naira To Be Re-Denominated by iceman75(m): 1:17pm On Aug 15, 2007
@ shoti (infact, this is good news .there won't  be need going abroad to go and sweep the street anymore)
Sorry shoti, but u are wrong sad, cos' if u were earning =N=200k, after the redomination u'll be earning =N=2k, and it doesn't mean u'll be able to afford more . what we need is to be able to afford more with little naira.
Redomination will not make people abroad come back, people abroad will come back if the economy improves drastically.

What people fail to realise is that redomination, will only make the naira accpetable at a point, what if it devalues again? we should think more about our economy. improved economy will appreciate the naira value.
PoliticsRe: Naira To Be Re-Denominated by iceman75(m): 12:02pm On Aug 15, 2007
Hello All,
Personaly, i luv soludo and i admire his antics but guys i don't think this re-denomination or should i say re-decimalization is a right move.
improving our economy will improve the value of the naira.
Lets cosider things from a lay-mans point of view, if i intend selling my land for =N=1m will any enforcement agency be there to ensure that i sell for =N=10k? huh
i hope, wish and pray it works cos' i invest in the nigerian economy so if it goes wrong, i'll be at soludos doorstep next morning. cool
Could someone pls tell me how this will affect regular food on the table, unemployment, encourage production, solve niger delta bruhaha, power situation, bad road, increasing house and land value etc
I might be wrong, pardon me if i am but i believe if above issues are dealt with, the value of 'life' in naija will appreciate and thus will the naira.
Soludo i beg oooo.
Nigerians are hard working, give us the opportunity and the sky is the limit.
We can only suggest. How do we make soludo hear us?

Mypeace we seem to be on the same side.
I know i might sound 'bush' but i only deal on public offers as well. Got an amount i've saved for quite a while, i invest by jumping from one p.o to another from companies with good prospects, works for me. People might have made a bit higher than me and faster than me but the main thing is i know i made over %100 and God knows i'm very happy with it, my bank wouldn't give me close to that.
My next point of call is Japaul and Dangote Flour, what do u guys think?
Thanks everybody for all the ideas and advice.
God bless u all.

BusinessRe: Nigeria's Top 10 Richest People by iceman75(m): 8:25am On Jun 22, 2007
Bill Gates is rated the richest in the world based on his business empire/network. it's impossible to rate a person on how much 'liquid cash he has cos' u can't estimate how much cash one has( not realistic).
Based on business empire, Dangote Rules. Remember Aliku Dangote is one man
Bank CEO's are not as rich as u think they are, they don't own the bank, they are just major shareholders doing deals with other people's money. Igbinedions' sick/grounded okada air, his school and anyother business he has is like a pinch of salt compared to Dangote empire.
Rich thieves e.g Abachas, babangidas,Usenis etc should come out fully and compete with dangote. we say they front people, how do we verifyhuh
I bet if Forbes magazine ever considers 'richest in Naija' they won't look into peoples account, they only consider business network/empire.
Dangote is not the richest nigerian in de world cos' theres Harry Akande and Deinde Fernendez ( both of them were once in the first ten ) but in naija, DANGOTE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TravelRe: What's The Minimum Amount I Need To Have Before I Relocate To Nigeria? by iceman75(m): 10:18am On Jun 21, 2007
MT, relocating to Naija is not easy but it's nice cos theres no place like home.
Estimating how much you need truely depends on where u want to live, how u want to live and what sort of business u want to do.
I'll advise that u first visit for urself and do all the feasibility study so u could have an idea how things really are.
(i) consider the business u want to do and how much u'll need.
(ii) Before u relocate fully, try and invest 1 or 2million preferably in the stock market, if u're lucky and u invest in a good company, that amount might double before u move in. (bare in mind that the NSE is not a money doubling scheme so u have to really find a good company to invest in)
(iii) rent for 2 years ' 1million, more if u want to stay in highbrow places'
(iv) u'll need to furnish the house and remember the power situation, guy u go need generator!!.
(v) u'll also need some cash to hold on to for daily needs and contingencies.

If u still have means of going abroad and coming back, that will be a 'blessing' so when things get a bit rough u can go away for a short while, try and raise hard currency, send them back home to cool the roughness.

We are in the same boat, i'm preparing to go back to Naija too.
Goodluck to you, Thanks everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!
