TheGoodJoe: My point is so simple that I wonder why it is hard to understand.
Next time, passing is the better option. Musa took the harder route of skinning the Goalkeeper instead of passing to Iheanacho. I said good we scored but Rohr should work on Musa to know that passing is the better option in such situations.
Gerrit?
Let's flip the scenerio and Iheanacho was the one that took the path Musa did and Musa was the one begging for the ball, I know you would be singing a different song. Hahaha.
TheGoodJoe: The key still false on discipline play. Just I will point at Onazi or Echiejile leaving gaps. I will always look for areas we can improve. Musa was wrong not passing. Lucky he scored but it does not change the fact he was wrong not to pass.
In this picture Tevez took the Initiative to shoot and score but that was the wrong option. Passing to CR7 was the better choice. Look at Rooney's hand direction.
Oga the picture you display here is not same scenario as what played out yesterday
BascoVanVeli: Some could even have blamed Iheanacho for getting in the way if he missed. I am also for doing things the right way but sometimes pass pass dey too is not good.
Imagine if Musa had missed that chance and Iceland then got that penalty
TheGoodJoe: I am always up for the better than depending on chance.
The simple question is, who has better abilities and quality to deliver those runs, have skill and also contribute defensively, it is Moses. Then play the better person. Ebuehi is prolific on the right wing back role. Settled.
Musa has the psychological momentum. No need to tamper with that front line.
BascoVanVeli: I don't know why Iheanacho kept asking for that ball. They had the same 2 people on the line to beat and the ball was already on Musa's right foot. It is not a guarantee that Kelechi would have scored because if Musa had passed they would surely have closed him down.
God bless you my guy.
Musa, after beating that goalie was in a far better position to score. Why pass the ball back to Iheancho?
TheGoodJoe: What Musa did especially in the second goal, I believe without a shred of doubt that Moses can do that better and repeatedly in a deadlier fashion. I was not joking when I said Moses is the ideal replacement for Salah at Liverpool. I trust the young man's ability.
Why wait for occasional fire from Musa while Moses packs it in bags.
Bros, I know the abilities of both Moses and Musa. They are not Newbies in the national team. But there is something called tournament form. Some players just pick form in a tournament. It may be 1,2 or 3 matches, after which they fall back to default mode. Musa just performed magic, whether he will carry it to the next match or not we don't know. But why not give it that chance?
I made this quote on this thread just after Musa scored. Funny you said I did not enjoy the goal. I just do not get captured with result but doing things the right way. I believe the right way brings the overall Best results in the long run.
Finito.
I didnt say you didnt enjoy goal. I said ''Talk true you no enjoy the goal?''. So it is left to you say if you enjoyed it or not
TheGoodJoe: I know strikers can be selfish. Nice it worked out but Musa should be called on the play and next know he is to pass to players in good scoring positions to increase our chances to win.
Finito.
Oga, talk true, you no enjoy the goal?
Musa had the momentum and initiative, he had already beaten the two defenders and his player instinct told him he could finish up the goalie. Football no be beans o.
TheGoodJoe: It looks so but keep in mind at that point they were both in good scoring positions and two Iceland defenders were facing Musa. It was a good goal but If he missed, he would have faced a backlash because he made the wrong choice.
Finito.
Bro, sometimes strikers need to be selfish. It happens. The End justifies the means. As long as Musa scored he made the Right choice. That is just it.
TheGoodJoe: Musa went for the more difficult option. He could have lost to ball to the keeper. Nacho asked for the ball before Musa skipped past the Goalkeeper. On normal terms, if Musa missed that ball he could have been crucified because Nacho was better placed to finish it.
That is another reason I pointed at Moses attacking because attackers can get away with being selfish.
But at that point when Musa had already dribbled the keeper, he became better placed than Iheanacho but him still dey beg for the ball
This is Kingsley Amuneke. One of the players we played against in that epic game against Sari-Iganmu. He later went ahead to feature for Nigeria's Golden Eaglets at Ecuador in 1995. Me and Bina kept him busy in that game.
do4luv14: Even musicians , even omo-jesu nah my padi sef
Been searching for it since, pls send me the link
Just type it on the facebook search bar the way I wrote it. Ask to join. A series of questions will prop up, you answer and then the request would be sent. I am one of the admins.
This is Kevin Onyekachi Amuneke. Another of your Cardoso products that also played for the Super Eagles. We tipped him to do better than Emma, but it didn't just happen for him.
This is my boy Bina Ajuwa. Watch his display at 5min in the Nigerian jerseys. He even scored on his debut for Nigeria's Super Eagles at the 2003 LG Cup. He is also one of your Cardoso products.
do4luv14: Yes you are right about the fencing it started not too long after I enter the school, say like during .y first first long break as a student of the great cardoso,
The unfenceed outside was actually the playing ground more like a mini field
Ok. Meaning I had left before you entered.
That is a school that prides itself not in the number of Medical Doctors, Engineers, Accountants etc that it has produced but in the number of great footballers, and coaches the two schools combined have produced.
We had a very standard football pitch then, alomost the size of what we see in the NPFL. Na there many of us perfect our playing skills.
Good to know you are part of my almata-mata. Besides, have you joined us on facebook?: Cardoso High School, Bajia-Ijora, Old students Reunion Campagne.
If una say Ighalo dey beg Rohr to enter pitch, what about Iheanacho that was begging Musa to give him the pass so he can do a simple ''Tap-in'' after Musa had done all the serious work.
safarigirl: if you consider Uzoho's age, you will not be considering him alongside keepers in their late 20's-early 30's
He is just starting, compare him to a 20-year old Enyeama, were you always confident about him? Did you think he could pull his weight at a senior World Cup back then?
Uzoho has done well for his age, he has done very well in fact and could very well be greater than Enyeama in the coming years considering how well he has handled pressure so far
The boy is yet to concede from open play, there are many other keepers far better than him in this tournament who have conceded. So, it is about time we stopped considering the players we could have had and focus on the one we do have.
It is very easy to assume someone else could have done better, when the person cannot be in that position. For all we know, the 'better' goalies would have crumbled under pressure.
Uzoho has earned some level of trust from fans and it is very unfair of you, and anyone else, to keep on bringing up players who may or may not have done better. Give him his accolades abeg, enough of sizing him up with others, everybody's time will come
Even I, as one of his strongest critiques here, have come to gain confidence in him with every passing game.
soetanoreoluwa: Feel for him cos he is not performing well... You know sometimes you give it your best but it will never be enough people will never see that effort but the results
That's the reason behind my feelings for him...
If what he has been giving thus far is his best then.......
do4luv14: Hmmmmm dats gotta be hard cos of the cat and dog stance between us,
Yea I know of chemist, I was actually talking of Emma family place at ojo road, or you can correct me
Could be that they later moved to Ojo road. I stayed at Sari-Iganmu, my street was off Amuneke's. When i gained admission into tertiary institution I learnt they left the neighbourhood. I didn't actually probe much about where they had moved to.
Talking about the Cat and Dog stance between the two schools, it wasnt there during our time. Although there were usually little pockets of battle for supremacy here and there. I learnt there was a serious War between the two school after we left and that even led to the fencing of the schools and separating their gates. Gaskiya were bragging about their Samson Siasia we were bragging about our Emmanuel Amuneke.
You know Bina Ajuwa right? Bina and Kachi were my boys. I personally adviced our games master to elivate Bina to play with us in the senior team. He was in SS1 then. Bina became our best left winger while I played the Right wing. Then we likened him to Emma Amuneke. The same Bina later went to play for the Super Eagles. Kachi also made his debute under Christian Chukwu.
do4luv14: I think I meet him before he was transfer, even Mr. Meme the .aths teacher, It was kachi who came to school to speak with us to join Emma fans club, emma was playing for barca then,
ECN is a very pupolar bus-stop, it's near to Emma residence when going to suru-alaba from boundary, near lake primary school itire
I dont know that ECN bus-stop but Emma stayed by Chemist Bus-stop along Iganmu road when going to Orile.
Just to give you a glimpse of myself if you can remember. Were you in school when Cardoso played that epic game that saw us beat Sari-Iganmu secondary school 2-0 and the game ended in serious blood shed.
I played that game alonside Bina Ajuwa who later played for the Super Eagles under Christain Chukwu.
soetanoreoluwa: I paid full attention to yesterday match like myself was on it... When I said they said it was a lie...
Actually he is meant to enter but you will see his gesture than he really want to play... He's looking so pressure Knowingfully well his position is at risk and he need to prove the coach right....
Yeah, but on a second thought, I think Rohr initially wanted to bring him in and so he was probably asking Rohr if he should still pull off and go in. But I noticed he wasn't showing any emotions towards the goal just being scored at that time. He was more after his coming in.
lexyman: that error came as a result of playing a right full back as a left full back , he went for the ball with the right leg, if he was to be a left footer , he would have controlled used the left foot and that would have saved us from the blunder Omeruo orchestrated. we will do better against Argentina , i hope they will use their 3-5-2 formation against us too . A troubled Argentine team will come out like a wounded lion against , we brighten their hope and we can also make them to experience pain that they have caused us in the past .

THEJINXMUSTBEBROKEN
He shouldn't have even made that tackle. Omeruo was covering and both the Iceland player and the ball were heading towards the goal kick line.
do4luv14: Cardoso high school badia ijora, the mortal enemy of it's sister's school gaskiya, chaiii, I won't forget my time dia, even the teachers, Mr jimoh, Mr, Joseph, both p.e, and there is literature teacher Mr ADENIYI,
Ah bi ABEJE boy den, not far from ECN will ,
Ah...….see my school boy!!!!!!!!
Which former Super Eagles players did you meet? Emma Amuneke, Kachi Amuneke or Bina Ajuwa. I hope you know Samson Siasia finished from our sister school Gaskiya?
I know two of those 3 teachers you just mentioned. Did you meet Mr Adedotun?
But where be that ECN may be it was not there during our time.
