Hoping for the day when nothing like ALMAGIRI in the north and STREET BOYZ in the south. Everyone will be educated. At that point, politicians can not manipulate us. Divide and rule go cast, then our democracy will be strong. we will be able to vote and make the right choices.
Right now, APC has failed.

PerfectlyPerfect:
This happened during Benin election period 3 years ago. I was heading to Ogun for NYSC clearance from Owerri. I called my LI and told him to allow me come on Friday to do the clearance but he said I must come on that Thursday. I packed my bag on Wednesday and left early Thursday morning to Ogun. we got to Delta/Benin boundary around 10am and that was where we found out that the boundary between the 2 started had been blocked because of the election.
It was really heartless of the government but everyone heading to the Western part of the country from the East had to wait there till 6pm. When they allowed us to pass, the traffic jam the was massive. We eventually got to Ogun by past 12am. Everywhere was really dark. That's a police checkpoint at J4 Junction where I was meant to stop and I had planned to show the policemen stationed there that I was a corper so they'll let me pass the night with them. It was too dark I didn't know when we passed that junction and I didn't know anywhere around. We got to a junction and from the few structures I could see, I knew I had passed where I was meant to stop. We got to a junction and I could see a light at a shop. there were 3 people there. I asked the driver to stop me there. everyone on the bus asked me to wait till we get to Lagos so I can pass the night at d park but I refused.
They stopped there and I walked up to the people at the shop and asked a woman there if there is any hotel close by but she said the closest hotel is at ijebu ode, that I'll have to wait for a bus heading in that direction. I waited by the road for 20 minutes but no vehicle passed. I knew I had to find a place to spend the night. By this time frustration don hol me. I told myself that if that night was the day I was going to die, do be it.
I saw a Chisco transport luxury bus closeby and thanked God. I knew some buses stop to pass the night when it gets very late. atleast I would spend the night with them. I walked to the bus and knocked and a man looked out and asked who I was and I explained my predicament and showed him my NYSC ID card and he opened the door.
my happiness vanished when I entered and it turned out that the bus was abandoned, everything inside was tattered and there was 2 more men inside the bus. I was alarmed. these men might rob me here or even kill me and no one will know.
I had to think of a way out. I told one of the men that I wanted to pee. he opened the door and told me to hurry up.
I came down for the vehicle and while peeing I saw a light on a mast not far from there. Also saw a fat woman sitting outside. there was no other building closeby.
I had to think fast. I told the man that I had met the woman before I came to the bus and that she had asked me to come and inform her if I find a place to sleep.
he said no problem but I should hurry.
I walked to the woman and explained my predicament. she took pity on my and told me I could come spend the night in the small security house attached to the mast.
That was where I stayed till morning. couldn't even sleep

Severally

The biggest one was last year August when I had to leave Abj back to Ib. Having been there for more than 3 weeks roaming all the nook and cranny of Dutse, Ushafa and Kubwa in search of job or even work.
Sun and hunger showed me hell, to the extent I was tempted to burgle.

Long story short, I made up my mind that at least 'ti iwaju o ba se lo eyin a se pada si' I told myself I must get to Ib that Sunday. I trekked from Dutse-Alh to Deidei, got there around 1pm then lurked around. I was lucky I saw one trailer manned by Yoruba guys they were heading to Lag. I told the motor boy my predicament and my destination, he said if I could stay in the open back I should enter, I did.
We got to Gwagwalada then the truck broke down, that was around 6:30pm I wanted to cry tears didn't come.

I was starving nothing has entered my mouth that day. 8pm I went to one Maishai, I begged him to buy my phone Nokia torchlight, he bought it #1800 then I ate bread nd tea #100 from
Still in Gwagwa 10pm I went to those luxurious bus they said Ib standing is 4k I begged the man he said I should pay 3k.
I later met one young aboki of my age, he was my Messiah he slammed me 5h. I joined another luxurious bus they accepted 2k for standing, we were jam-packed I almost suffocated before we finally took off minutes before midnight. we were so squeezed that there was no space to bend or squirt, talkless of sitting on the floor.

We got to Akure around 9am, after plenty of shoutings, abuse and even curses the driver finally pulled over. We descended to empty our bladders and those that weren't like me bought water, snacks and all sort then we got back on.
Finally we got to Iwo road, Ibadan 11:15am and I alighted then find my way.

Till date, that 12hours sojourn was the toughest moments of my entire two and half decades on this earth.
I pray never to be so grounded again in life.

The only selling candidate in the pdp is Ex- vice president Abubakar Atiku.

Atiku is making wave because of his interest in implementing restructuring if elected.

This is a bold step especially coming from a northerner in a conservative northern Nigerian.
ATIKULATE sells in the south not in the north.

ATIKULATE is the most popular candidate but he won't sell like KWANKWASO in the north. I can attest to one thing, KWANKWASO is a core Grassroot politician with followers with his ideology. SARAKI is a stunt man with poor popularity .

I'll advice you to get married if only you are ready. You can be running your MS.c while you're married. It's called proper planning.
In the other hand if you go for masters, you'll release later, that while the program is running you would have actually started developing a young family and building your career. Kill a bird with two stones. Time waits for no man.
God will direct you in the right steps to take.
I tap into this advice. Am really impressed with some advices on this thread. Am same age with OP with a FG job but Bae is a student.

One of the most brilliant ideas ever from this thread...seriously they still have enough time to plan their lives..so if the woman is mature and understanding in terms of being ready to be a 50/50 partner in the marriage or step in even when oga money nor show on time without making the mans life a living hell..I think they can give it a shot...She might be a good girl he wouln't want to pass him bye
Am in a similar situation, I just secured a FG job. My salary a bit higher than his and i intend settling down. I don't have plans of getting kids in the first 2yrs. Bae is still a student ,she's good. don't know if she's gonna buy my idea

I'm a of dude of about 28 years, I just finished my NYSC program and I secured a job that pays me about 50k, my girlfriend who is about 25 years too just acquired a job that pays her about 60k per month too.

Is it advisable I go for M.Sc. program or just settle down for marriage with my girlfriend and then follow my career later.

We both stay at Ibadan, the city is averagely okay.

What's your take ?
Is it a Federal /State government job?

This section has been very helpful.

I am a young lawyer and on the verge of rounding off my NYSC.

I have been thinking of how to secure a good future hence have been considering migrating to Canada or the USA.

Law is not a STEM course and switching career may not be easy at all.

I am wondering if there are opportunities for Lawyers in Canada or the USA (or even New Zealand, Australia.)

I am looking at migrating via Masters degree --- that''s if I can gain a full or partial scholarship with 3.9 CGPA on a 5 point scale or migrating through Canadian FSW.

Or do I just stay back in Nigeria?

I can raise 2 million naira.

Suggestions needed please. I am tired. Seriously tired because the future looks bleak.
Use that cash and buy a legit level 9 high paying federal government job. you need to think fast
