abc115: 360 Degree View of Massive Crowd at TB Stadium Full to Capacity for APC Rally @ 9 am while Bola Tinubu and President Buhari are still in Abuja before parade from Ikeja to Surulere
APC and Tinubu say they're using Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere that TBS is too big for them to fill due to Naira Scarcity. This one you're coming late with propaganda, where you not told in your Whatsapp group it's not TBS but small Teslim Balogun Stadium they're using?
Is Aisha Buhari CBN governor, so because one ignorant mind is managing his account that's why you guys are falling for the fake news, kindly visit CBN official sites for verification
Anyone managing her account is as good as the owner herself. Did that letter that's full of jargons make sense at all? They want to cause crisis and you're not seeing it from their angle of desperation.
jogojogo: Emefiele has ran mad I am a Banker, infact manage a Branch and can confirm that we got circular from CBN on receiving old notes. That was done on Saturday and Monday All those jumping in ignorance make comment on what you don't show show how low and desperate you can be just to insist that you are right even when you are deaf wrong.
The fake Press Release with blunders everywhere was drafted inside Oluwole Office. Lie small small bro😂 😂
I said it already that it's fake news. The satanic APC party is now desperate. They're ready to cause chaos. Their mission is to kill, steal and destroy.
It's now very clear the core North (NE and NW) are all Atikulated going by what's happening there which is obvious to any discerning minds. Despite all the devilish propaganda and lies, Obidients have clearly hijacked the South. Emilokan is struggling in the West and spending money recklessly to buy support which, unfortunately, is falling apart.
So don't waste your votes on Emilokan. Vote wisely, vote Obi!
obailala: What is wrong with a Pastor stating that he wouldnt publicly endorse any candidate? That's actually the right and wise thing to do.... I'm very sure Pastor Adefarasin and his family are OBIDIENT but I do not believe it's a proper thing for him to come say that publicly....
OBIDIENTS make we dey try use our brain sometimes abeg; we need to stop this agbero mob mentality!
Oppositions want them to fall for all manner of tricks but they can't use their common sense to decipher it.
Juchii: See Why Paul Adefarasin refused to endorse Peter Obi. He dines with Tinubu secretly.
Many pastors feed on the patronage of these fraudulent politicians. Pastor Paul Adefarasin is one of them. Read the invitation below.
God will punish all of you for bringing hatred to Christiandom. Must a pastor endorse anyone? These pastors know what they're doing and know the candidate they're supporting without making noise but you children of the devil will not let them rest.
Why can't you go vote for the candidate of your choice and let these pastors be? Muslims clerics up north are clearly partisan but you people don't create thread daily to talk about it. It's pathetic!
“I need to have this N70m in hard copy. That is the position of the law and as I speak to you, I don’t have it."
A House of Representatives Leader Ado Doguwa says the naira crunch will affect the electioneering expenses of politicians, noting that he needs N70m in “hard copy” for the poll.
He made the comment after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock villa in Abuja on Thursday in the wake of the Nigerian leader’s directive to the CBN on the naira swap.
“I need to have this N70m in hard copy. That is the position of the law and as I speak to you, I don’t have it,” the House leader said in reference to Section 88(4) of the Electoral Act which caps election expenses for House of Representatives seats at N70,000,000."

President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is plotting to instigate a military coup in Nigeria in order to avoid transferring power to a civilian administration when his tenure expires in May 2023, according to one of his allies and governor of Kaduna Nasir El-Rufai.
Mr El-Rufai’s statement on Thursday night marked a sharp escalation of the ongoing confrontation between states and the Buhari administration over the raging scarcity of new notes and petroleum products.
Mr El-Rufai, in a nationwide broadcast to Kaduna residents, said Mr Buhari has become desperate to ensure that Mr Tinubu does not emerge Nigeria’s president at the ballot box next month, saying it was the reason behind the sudden and chaotic attempt at withdrawing some important national banknotes from circulation.
“Once Asiwaju Bola Tinubu emerged as the candidate in June 2022 and subsequently did not pick one of them as his running mate, this currency redesign policy was conceived to ensure that the APC presidential candidate is deprived of what they alleged is a humongous war chest.
“They also sought to achieve any one or more of the following objectives:
“a. Create a nationwide shortage of cash so that citizens are incited to vote against APC candidates across the board resulting in massive losses for the Party in all the elections;
“b. Ensure that the cash crunch is so serious, along with the contrived and enduring fuel shortage existing since September 2022, that the 2023 Elections do not hold at all, leading to an Interim National Government to be led by a retired Army General;
“c. Sustain the climate of shortage of fuel, food and other necessities, leading to mass protests, violence and breakdown of law and order that would provide a fertile foundation for a military take-over,” Mr El-Rufai said.
HowardWolowitz: The heavy burden this poll is putting on a block is what is making me laugh! Those figures are unrealistic, Obi is going to finish at a distant third.
Don't quote me and cry, wait until the 27th or at most by the 30th.
What do I offer you: coffee, tea, water?” asked Peter Obi, the minor-party candidate leading the polls to become president of Africa’s most populous country. Such hospitality is to be expected: in years of interviewing west African politicians, I’ve never known one not to offer refreshments. Usually the Big Man barks out an order, and a couple of minutes later a flunky shuffles in deferentially with drinks.
With Obi, things are different. Though running late and in danger of missing his flight, he ambled over to the kettle himself. “Do you want a big cup or a small one? I’ve brought you a variety of teas,” he said. “It’s not important I have tea,” I protested, not wanting to make him miss a day of campaigning. “Do you need honey?” he asked.
That Mr Obi has been able so rapidly to challenge a two-party system is largely because he offers a very different sort of politics in Nigeria, where for decades the electoral calculus was largely based on politicians stoking up divisions along the lines of religion, ethnicity and regional affiliation. The candidates of the two main parties, Bola Tinubu of the ruling apc and Atiku Abubakar of the pdp, seem to still be campaigning with the aim of turning out the vote among their ethnic and religious bases. Mr Obi, by contrast, has reached across the country’s main divides, holding rallies in his opponents’ strongholds (focusing on Lagos, the commercial capital and Mr Tinubu’s stronghold, in particular) and urging voters to base their choice on character and track record.
His own record as a two-term governor of Anambra state is encouraging, though not entirely unblemished. When he took office in 2006 the state was running fiscal deficits and services were deteriorating as measured by the Human Development Index (hdi), which looks at indicators including income, education and life expectancy. At the conclusion of his second term he left the state with a fiscal surplus and it was ranked third in Nigeria by hdi.
“Obi, obi, obi” chants the bouncing crowd, fists in the air, as Peter Obi strides into a campaign rally after having unexpectedly taken a lead in the race to become the next president of Nigeria. The outcome of the election, scheduled for February 25th, will reverberate far beyond Nigeria’s borders. A free and fair vote in the continent’s biggest democracy would send a telling signal across Africa, where freedom is in retreat in a number of countries after a spate of coups, rigged votes and the abandonment of presidential term limits.
The stakes in this race are especially high for Nigeria, too. Africa’s biggest economy—and home to roughly one in six Africans—is in a deep malaise, with incomes stagnant and poverty, especially in the rural north, at shockingly high levels. And the country risks sliding into ungovernability. Although not yet a failed state, large parts of Nigeria are failing, sending instability spilling over its borders and dragging down the region’s economy. Last year about 10,000 people were killed in violent conflicts. Some of the country’s biggest problems stem from at least four overlapping security crises.
Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the House of Representatives, has attributed the current hardship occasioned by fuel and naira scarcity to “elements” bent on scuttling APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 poll.
Mr Gbajabiamila stated this in Lagos on Tuesday during the launching of the second phase of a transport initiative called ‘Gbaja Ride’ for his Surulere constituents. The 35 low-fare buses will ply different routes in Surulere and its environs.
“As your representative and speaker, I have a good understanding of the current hardships and discomfort being faced by many Nigerians, without exception to my constituents,” Mr Gbajabiamila explained. “The lower legislative chamber under my leadership has been on the side of the people, working tirelessly to rescue them from these difficulties. I am glad that the judiciary has also confirmed our position on the implementation of the policy of naira redesign.”
He explained that the new naira banknotes policy was a well-thought-out one, which had unfortunately been hijacked and politicised, alleging that some elements created a crisis around the policy to stop Mr Tinubu from becoming the next president.
Mr Gbajabiamila said the plot seemed to be failing as Nigerians still keep faith with the APC and Mr Tinubu despite the chaos following the naira scarcity.
“Nobody can convince me that it is not a plot to stop Asiwaju from becoming the president of this country. But I am glad that our God is a wonderful being as the plot these people sat together to hatch, he has intervened,” said Mr Gbajabiamila.
He added, “I have followed the campaign team to the East, North and everywhere with Asiwaju, and I doff my hat for Nigerians.”
