For people in this category spending 20% will have nothing to do with their standard of living because they still gave 80% of their income in check. Note that these numbers are negligible. You didn't calculate 20% of 500k naira and 20% of 100k naira where about 80% of Nigerian adults find themselves but used 0.1% to project your opinion which is now meant for 99.9% of Nigerian .

The real essence of that comment is that no one just deplete his savings because of wedding preparation when the actual thing is post wedding.
