iwaeda:Shehu may have quoted when he was in the house of Senate but that figure is closer to 30 than 20m as it is today. |
FreedomArmy:Hahahahaha bad boy, this is actually the case Make them dey argue for Lagos wey colonials develop and same Lagos wey chop all our federal government money |
SadiqBabaSani:Ask him when did swallow come into the politics of the southwest? Lagos has been capital for donkey decades even before awolowo even dreamed of joining politics. These folks are really dumb. |
2RUTHHURTS:Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria, it was the administrative capital of Southern Protectorate. Leave these dumb folks |
zeuss:Don't mind these folks, where was Lagos before it was made capital? Same with Abuja. |
Ojiofor:Calabar was never a capital of Nigeria. |
DMerciful:I tried educating him that Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria but the dumb dude doesn't want to help himself by getting himself educated, pathetic. This is how they spread misinformation to the public. |
MasterJayJay:Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria. Calabar was the administrative capital of the Southern Protectorate of Nigeria this was because the British came there first before they went to Lagos and then Lagos took over as capital of the southern protectorate before it then became capital of Nigeria in 1914. I don't know these lazy youths that can't research before coming to the public space to say rubbish. Pathetic |
Dream25:Go school you say no, Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria, it was the administrative capital of Southern Protectorate before relinquishing it to Lagos get that into your small skull. Your responses are very weak , educated illiterates are just roaming the cyber space looking for whom to bring his top notch critical thinking skills to their level. I don't blame you, you have failed to be educated for free is it when asked for money that's when you will get educated? I leave you to your tent. |
The guy who created this must be a Yoruba man, you need to be educated to have a good critical thinking skills in order to discern why things happen I'm the society. N/B Calabar was never the capital of Nigeria and has never been one. Calabar was the administrative capital of Southern Protectorate from about 1884 to 1906 when the administrative capital of the southern protectorate became Lagos. Also note that Lagos became a colony on 6th August 1886. Lagos was the capital of Southern Protectorate from 1906 to 1914 and became the capital of Nigeria from 1914 to 1991. Also note that Nigeria had only two capital Lagos and Abuja, Calabar was like a regional capital for the south likewise Lagos pre amalgamation. Calabar was a regional capital for 22 years (1884 to 1906) while Lagos was a regional capital for 8 years (1906 to 1914) and then capital of Nigeria for 77 years (1914 to 1991) totalling 85 years. It's only a dumb folk who will say Calabar should be like Lagos because it was the administrative capital of the southern protectorate. Let's ask the writer to tell us what was the benefit of Calabar when it became administrative capital of Southern Protectorate? And then tell us what Lagos benefited for 85 years as sit of power and see why his reasoning is like that of a 2 year child. Calabar had nothing, southern protectorate of Nigeria as a region wasn't abundant in wealth as at the time Calabar became capital, Calabar became capital not because of its economic importance but because that's was one of the places the colonial masters touched down Calabar 2 years before it even established Lagos as a colony in 1886. Investment by the federal government of Nigeria in Lagos runs into hundreds of billions of dollars which no state has gotten even 10 % of it. To get the picture of what a capital can do for you, look at Abuja that started as capital in 1991 after the relocation from Lagos it has left all other places behind dude to the number of investment attracted by been the capital of Nigeria the investment is massive. That was what Lagos enjoyed but Calabar never enjoyed it for one day. Calabar was just a regional capital when the country had no accountability for its finances. Lagos has been developed by the collective wealth of the country to an extent it now drives itself because of its strategic placement in the international shipping lane. Every other state close to Lagos should be able to develop as a result of this. Lagos has limited landmass and the smallest state in Nigeria that is why Ogun has been the biggest beneficiary of Lagos because all industries placed in border towns of Ogun state was just of its strategic closeness to Lagos state. A lot of you need to get educated before speaking, i have seen some even compared Lagos to Port Harcourt a town that has never tasted been capital of Nigeria for a day. You lot should put your thinking faculty before coming to a public forum. |
Cousin9999:He is not , he is well built the dude beside whom aiss who can be termed ugly, the one with the long face |
zed7:It's not usually how much he has but how much he values her because people who have 200k have been found to spend all on a woman. Some will have 3 million and go and buy a wig off 2 m for a lady though that is foolishness of the highest order but a lot of men are on this boat of overspending their budget because of women. But men should spend not based on how they value the woman but based on how the woman values them, a wise man will do this to safeguard himself from predators looking to devour their prey and leave them stranded in the forest. Spend for who values and spends for you, men should make relationship symbiotic and not parasitic in order to make it more sustainable for the future. |
Kylekent59:Most guys don't need to be rich for them to spend outrageously for ladies , haven't you seen a guy worth 200k and then he spends 95% of his worth on a lady? The rule is only spend on someone who spends on you and not someone who thinks he or she is entitled to your resources. This is why most men make that rubbish assertion of "after all I have done for you ". If you spend for me as I spend for you no one will say such and relationships will last longer because one party won't see the other party as a fool for letting go of his or her money. |
Seunex2:Hasn't ur happened in Lagos before? Didn't the governor benefit from this kind of issues with Ambode? Then why will an adult like u with coconut head make this assertion when there is already a precedence to this? Make Una get sense na |
GOFRONT:Which is punctured? Una dey talk for this platform ooo |
This is not rivers youths, unscrupulous elements from neighbouring states were hired to make this happen , Wike must spend to show for his budget |
oglalasioux:Who tell you? It's difficult to see a lady who has money compared to a guy who has money even when rich ladies are everywhere you know why? Hypergamy |
Belawy:It's pathetic people don't understand simple economic terms, you can go to Google to get yourself educated and then come back for discussion. |
PHIPEX:The oba isn't knowledgeable to know that that won't work. Let's see how it pans out |
This monarch is to learn more. You don't want market union to fix prices but you are fixing prices ![]() Allow forces of supply and demand to fix prices of foods and services, if you want to remove the excesses of the trade union do that but to start fixing prices when you aren't even a player in the demand d and supply value chain. What happens to cultivating those essential products and flooding he market with it rather than fix prices that won't allow growers to make profit for their products? |
falcon01:You just gave him a better explanation.... |
Mankind2024:China currency is even pegged to the dollar, let them float the currency I want to check something. |

Sex for free , you prefer it to be paid for? Isn't sex free? |
helinues:Then u are the one spreading malicious lies. U forgot u a a fake news merchant |
Baronthecelebri:Some women are funny especially the ones that had issues with their partners. In their head once you have issues with them you must have issues with the kids they never understand that the relationship between a father and his children is different from the relationship between a man and his partner that's why a woman will break up with a man and go and marry another and expect the new one to automatically becomes the father of her baby while the father is outside and willing to take charge of his ward. |
1Sharon:Use ur head for once, didn't you read there was complications in the relationship between the mother and father? Did you read the mum prevented him from pair bonding with the child? Women will never accept accountability for once in their lifetime, you have not accepted accountability for feeding yourself is it this you will accept? ![]() |
Maeve7:Accountability and women is like mixing oil and water ![]() If you like do same to your children |
Sapasenator:Hahaha that's what you paymasters told you start singing? ![]() |
