Clown... U don't even understand English

If it's used to qualify Edo people... What are we Going to call Yoruba people doing it in Yoruba land?

Ashewo? cheesy grin

Lol... In an attempt to make sense, u started saying nonsense...

Yorubas are also popular for prostitution in Lagos state and Igbos Esp in Owerri

Yorubas are presently battling secondary school cultism in Ogun state and agege... Na Una get awawa boys and one million boys in agege and ikorodu

The Yorubas are battling skull mining and Igbos are battling child factories

Trafficking in Benin has relatively reduced since when the Oba cursed them but the problem dealing with u guys, u are yet to see it

Crime is rampant across all tribes and u are not only stupid but foolish for ascribing it to Benin alone like urs is a tribe of saints

Idiot

Later u'll claim u are wise
if you read my comment well I said it is unwise for Edo's to call Yoruba's prostitute because prostitution is term that can be used to qualify Edo people

samuk:
I have consistently made myself clear that the Benin empire/kingdom ended in 1897. Benin was not the first empire/kingdom to come an end. Rome, Egypt and Greece were all once great empires that came to an end.

Whoever is the chairman and co chairman of today's Nigeria traditional rulers is irrelevant to the history of Benin which is cast in stone.

History that was made on the battlefield spanning centuries with thousands of lives lost is different from a political history on paper.

The only people the Sultan have spiritual leadership over are his Northern and Yoruba muslims. His influence is not felt in the domain of the Oba of Benin who remains the spiritual head of all irrespective of religious affiliations

America is the leader of today's free world, few centuries earlier America was just one of the several colonies of Great Britain.

Mind you, I am only still trying to come down and operate at your level of reasoning because going above that would be an overkill.
history talks about the past, the past determines the present, if your past is glorious your present would surely be glorious, the Greeks had a glorious past and the glory is still apparent today, Yoruba's a
had a glorious past and it is obvious today,Edos claims to have a glorious past but no evidence,....let be logical

chapter Nine

Maku and his two loyal guards are on a canoe to Aro land

Maku: you know what?* he was relaxing on the canoes floor staring at the sky*
ogbo: what?
Maku: I missed that goddess maid, I wish I have abduct her with me,her honeypot is legendary* he licked his lips*
legun: she is a virgin of course, her honeypot would be untapped, that means she will be juicy down there, I wish I am in your place your majesty, everyone like sweet things* he smiled as Maku playfully knock him*
ogbo:I am afraid!
Maku: afraid of what?
ogbo:I am afraid of the goddess revenge
Maku :* he laughed as he stood up* ogbo! you don't understand, listen to me ,I have no fear for any god or goddess, as a matter of fact,I abhor them.
Men are wicked, but gods are more wicked, they make our lives hard as humans, they cause us pain but they still receive glories and praises from us,I don't fear gods, the worst they could do to me is to take my life and that is the fate of all men, either you fear or do not fear the gods....* he became sad* fifteen years ago,my father was happy, he had a son, but the gods forbid the boy to live, they accused him of treacherous destiny as if they are not the controller of fate, the boy was killed, his mother killed herself from to escape the grief, sorrow heaped upon sorrow for my father, even though my father, devotion to the gods was great, still, they caused him pain.
I understood at that time that the gods cause us pain so that we we fear them and glorify them,so I made up my mind,I would not avoid any pleasure, I will satisfy all my desires, I would be a god of myself, my worship and fear will never be to any god but myself, I made that decision fifteen years ago, but here I am today hail and hearty without the gods....* he paused and faced ogbo* gods are created for people who are afraid to be a god of themselves* he poke ogbo chest with his fingers* be a god of yourself* he finished, as he laughed*
ogbo: * was silent, he had discovered something new about Maku, since the last five years he had known him.... Maku is crazy...

Aro- Usi border

The Aro warriors had safely crossed the great stream, it was in the rainy season, so the stream had over flowed it bank,it was difficult for the warriors to cross over, but they were able to find a shallow part that they were able to ford.
They are now at Usi border, they can sight the guards bonfire, usis are always keeping watch.

Ichendu: warriors, put out your torches* they did *Aligali,Yarabi, ikude follow me with your men,let the boys keep watch over the supplies* he faced the boys* what every happens, don't leave the supplies, and don't come for us,when you see flames, you can come to us with the supplies, your commander would tell you anything else* he finished and jogged off with the warriors*
The warriors had get closer to the guards, the guards can be seen playing dirty with a flirty girl, there were two guards..

1st guard: Amaaaasi,Amaaasi, the one with the hippos buttocks* he laughed and squeezed her buttocks* your breast flows with milk and honey* he moved his mouth towards her breast, but the second guard push away his face*
2nd guard: hey ! you are too greedy, and I hate it,deal with your territory as I dutifully deal with mine* he suckle her breast*
Amasi:* she laughed flirtiously* you boys with much ado,as if you can both finish the huge packages* she challenge*
1st guard: what!, badu do you hear that, let rough handle these girl
Badu: no more delay oni,Amasi, oya part your legs, I want to swim* he pulled off his skirt*
oni: are you going first?
badu: watch on* he got on her and started moaning in pleasure, Amasi moans were louder and arousing*
oni: badu do quick or I push you away* he squeezed his manhood* badu! badu! am burning here* he wailed as he was overcome with erotic passion*

The Aro warriors had watched the scenario, they silently moved towards the trio, badu is busy on top of the girl howling and hooting like an animal, Amasi is lost in ecstasy, oni is busy pleasuring himself by stroking his manhood, they are clearly distracted.
Ichendu: yaribi go for badu,I go for oni * yaribi nodded* Ichendu swiftly grabbed oni by the neck and twisted it as yaribi impaled badu together with Amasi.
yaribi:* he felt for their breath* they are dead* Ichendu nodded and signaled for the other warriors to come out*
Ichendu; Now move into every hut and slaughter every man,but leave the women and children,we shall make slaves of them* they nodded and ran off* Usi, wait for us,we want to show you something* he said as he followed the warriors*

Eight years ago,a civil war broke out in omaland, the fight was between two dynasty, the olaide dynasty and the osusu dynasty.
The olaide are the original ruling dynasty of omaland, before the oyos start visiting omaland.
omaland is rich in mineral resources such especially gold and cowries, the oyos had come with the excuse of trade but their real intention was to cause division among the Omas, in order to conquer and loot their resources and wealth.
The oyos promised great things to the osusu clan, the most prominent clan after the olaide clan, they promised support and recognition to the osusus if only they would the throne and eliminate the ruling dynasty.
The osusu were swayed by Oyo promises and they began a campaign, a campaign that mark the Genesis of a two years war, after the second year war the Oyo & osusu alliance won the war,and a lot of olaide supporters were exiled or killed.
chilo father was one of the olaide supporter, when the campaign started, omeri (chilos father) was one of the first olaide dynasty pledger,it was a night like this, when omeri left for battle and was never seen again.
Chilo and her mother were among the exiled people, they decided to settle in Aro, because they have heard how the Aros hates the oyos, Aros would be a better neighbour than usis or ibirus.
That night that Aros march against Usi reminded chilo of the night she lost her father, but what actually brought her to tears is not the loss of her father, but the possibility of losing her love, oyeku.
Oyeku had filled a hole in her heart,a hole that has been void for long time, it has been long she had a man in her life, now Oyeku had come and If she lose him too, she would bear the sorrow for life.... oyeku... please stay safe. please..

Aro men had gathered at the Ekun palace, waiting for Ekun to come and give them his prayers, Ekun had shown himself at the front of his palace

Ekun: today, I see the glory of Aro, the glory our father's speak of, I wish to partake of these glory, but traditions forbid it, but you who are honoured, may you receive strength
warriors: ise
Ekun: receive courage
warriors: ise
Ekun: your enemies hands shall be heavy
warriors: your hand shall be swift
warriors: ise
Ekun:* he looked up* Ogun I call upon you, the god of war, give us victory, let us prevail* he faced the warriors* go now sons of Aro, the gods are with you* the warriors roared frenzily as the march towards the border," Ogun will feed today, come to Usi and witness* the warriors sang as the stamped their spears on the floor rhythmically *

Chilo is awake with her mother, they heard when the procession passed, chilo shares the same hut with her mother but different mat,but both of them are not aware that the other is awake.
chilo mother:* she stood up and went to ease herself, when she came back, she could hear chilo sniffing, she went closer and move the lamp closer to her face, she was crying* chilo! what is wrong? why are you crying* chilo did not answer ,instead she broke into loud cries* chilo please talk to me,please
chilo: I remember my father today iyami...I miss him..* she broke into tears*
chilo mother:* she sat beside her and rested chilo head on her lap* I remember him too daughter, but the past is gone, we have to live on,don't worry my child, you would not be lonely for long, the gods would send you a suitor that will be like your father, OK* she lift her up* my daughter, do you know you are very beautiful?* chilo nodded* you are very beautiful, I know you don't like these Aro boys, don't worry, immediately the war ends and the road is safe we would return to Oma,I heard that the olaide dynasty had been restored* chilo was happy and excited*
chilo: so what happen to the osusu dynasty?
mother: there was a mass rebellion of the people, which lead to the death of many members of the osusu dynasty, oma is peaceful once again, if we can make it out of these period, we would leave Aro and never come back* chilo was happy and at the same time sad, happy that she would finally return to her father's land and at the same time sad that she would not be able to see oyeku again, that was one of the reason she kept her self from fallen in love with Aro, she knew that one day she will have to leave, but now it has happen, and she is confused.

I think it’s good to engage them sometimes.

The rate at which misinformation spread, you would be surprised to realize how far it has gone and those forming innocent opinions from their lies.

Yes, I know it is way easier to beat 40 scholars with one fact, than to beat one idiot with 40 facts.

It is, however, sometimes advisable to stand up to a pathological liar and rub his liars on his face. That’s the first step to helping such person.

And by so doing you have also helped several other innocent readers whom these mythomaniacs are out to prey on.
Got your point, if we are arguing for the sake of misinformation,it worth it,but if we arguing to convince those mischievous kids we are wasting time, it like pouring water into basket, they know the truth since their common sense is intact and working, but they are trying to be loyal to their tribe in such away that anything or information that stoops their tribe down is false, anything that uphold their culture is right, their conclusion in argument is not based on evidence but self sentiment, what they should be

Me arguing about supremacy is waste of time, because you don't argue for something that is obvious, look all around you and be sincere, yorubas had stepped ahead, people who post trends like this are envious and they are been intimidated by the superior Yoruba culture, why should you post trends like this If not that you are been bothered about been swayed aside by the great Yoruba civilization, let be informed, our views on nairaland can never influence the real world, that is why I am less bothered about all these made up histories, if you know you are right about your thesis that Ooni is a priest not a king,go to ile ife,and tell the Ooni to his face that he is not a king but a priest, but if you can't, stop opening bastardizing trends

Ooni stool is greater than the Benin stool as in like 20/100, look at Ooni domain, the whole Yoruba land in order word south west is represented by the Ooni is domain extended into Benin republic and Togo and some part of Ghana, his subjects can also be found in Brazil, Cuba, Caribbean and the Americas but the Oba of Benin is limited to Benin city. ..you see the mighty difference

And you can see another dumb folk that says there is nothing like Yoruba until 20th century. How an idiot that cannot differentiate between a name and people make for an historian in his clime is befuddling. Interesting enough, that name "Benin" he salivates over everyday is alien to his culture and was in fact stamped on his people by a Yoruba man. I know their stupidity is irredeamable the day they, in unison, call their oba a liar, who for a bottle of wine sold himself, people, the future and present of his empire to a politician, Awolowo. If you really want intellectual and reasonable engagement, these are not the set of people to pinch your tent with. They will slow you down. Ari is clearly in a rage,he had been informed of the abomination Maku had done.

His chiefs were seated, his daughters and sons were also there, Maku is kneeling at the front of the king, his face was remorseless, he looked defiant and unafraid.

they were waiting for the goddess priestess.

Ari: Maku why?why?( he shouted at him) upon all the maidens in this land why do you go for the maiden of the goddess, are you cursed?

chiefs: please your Majesty, becareful With words

Ari: let me talk to him,let me feed him with words he needs ( he stooped low and stared Maku in the eyes and spoke quietly)

do you know the gravity of what you have done?I only pray that you will not pay with your life, you fool* he was still speaking when the priestess arrived*

priestess: karaole your Majesty* she walked slowly with he stick and sat behind Maku, but not never faced him till she left.

Everyone knew she had come to pronounce judgment on Maku

priestess:* she started with a proverb*

I am wise,so does the stiff necked dog says
and he challenge the panther to a duel
I am clever was the song of the slimy earthworm
and he waited for the hunger
of the red capped rooster
the dog
the worm
are both met with the same fate....
Death!
* she ended*
priestess: your Majesty, yeye odo had spoken, she doesn't want goat nor cow, cowries or beads, she want nothing except your son Maku

Ari: * he voiced out* I said it,I knew it would come to this, Maku had toyed with the enigmas breast, now he is been hunted,Maaaaaaku!

chiefs: take it easy your Majesty

Ari: priestess please help me appease yeye, she is merciful, I know you can do something, please Maku must not die, he is my right hand, my heir, the one who will replace me when am gone, please iye odo

priestess: yeye odo has spoken your Majesty, Maku must be at the river bed with the fishes and his soul must be with the the great goddess by this time next three days* she stood and exit*

Ari: iya odo!iya odo! don't go...no..no..* he was moving up and down* I want give up Maku, I won't live to watch another child dies...oh gods why do you take pleasure in feeding on my sorrows* he wailed*

Irawo: your Majesty, take it easy, let give this issue some thought, there may be other ways* she had been watching the scenerio all these while*

Ari: whatever happens, I am not giving my son to yeye odo* he sat back on his throne, Irawo had calmed him down*

Maku:* speaking for the first time* father please I want to speak to you alone

Ari: whatever you want to say, say it here

Maku: I won't say it unless we are alone

Ari:* looked at his chiefs and others, they understood and left* now say what you must say

Maku* stood up and went to the king and whispered to his ears.

Ari: are you sure it will work

Maku: trust me father
