Greetings everyone, What do you advise, I wanted to renew my rent contract, but Landlord is suggesting i don’t need to extend, as the contract automatically goes into a rolling contract after 12 months. Do you think I should insist on getting a new contract ? 1 Like |

Hwy9:I got a Samsung S21 FE from back market two months back. Got it for someone in Nigeria. It was very clean you would think it is new. The prices vary based on the Condition (Fair, good, excellent), I bought ‘excellent’ as I wanted something with almost 100% battery health and still very clean. Zero complaints so far from the person I bought for. 1 Like |

koonbey:Hello everyone, just to give a bit of an update. The Midwives got back to us today that they have completed relevant checks/ confirmations with the NHS safeguarding team and the social services as regard’s piercing the baby’s ears. They were able to confirm that since it is cultural, it was fine as long as the piercing was done with clean and sterilized objects, and we clean with salt water regularly till it fully heals, to help prevent any infections. Thank you all for your inputs 18 Likes 2 Shares |

koonbey: Thanks for responding. I would provide further updates on this tomorrow as we are expecting another midwife visit tomorrow. The midwife that came around today said the ears are okay and with no infections. |

Hello everyone… please is there any implication for piercing one’s baby’s ear at home ? One of the midwives that came to check the baby today was saying she was going to check with social services to see if it was legal. The baby’s ear was pierced by my mum. Should I be worried ? Kindly share your views. Thanks |

OmichaelO: Sure, your driving instructor might be able to help. You can also use ‘ drivinginstructorhub dot co dot Uk’ they render the service as well at a more cheaper rate, it might take longer to get a date though. 5 Likes 1 Share |

OmichaelO: Seems those are the available dates as at when you searched. You have to keep searching, an instructor told me the system is refreshed Monday mornings, so maybe check on Monday morning. You can also use consultants who swap dates for a fee. 1 Like 1 Share |

ezixt:You need a VISA to go outside of the airport where the hotel would most likely be. You can as well decide to stay within the airport premises if you like. You can get food every 5 hours, just go to the Turkish airline customer care section to get meal vouchers for any of the restaurants they currently partner with. The last time I travelled I stayed in a lounge area with recliner sleeper chairs which were not too bad. Happy travels 🙂 5 Likes |

Emmy2023:If it is a care worker VISA, I would advise you start applying directly to other care related jobs that are willing to sponsor, and have jobs for you to do. Most of these Care agencies are just bringing in people as a means to cash out. In the interim, you can apply to warehouse jobs, walk into the Bullring meat market and talk to mangers on duty, they might be able to offer you something to help with your bills. All the best. 6 Likes 1 Share

Jcole123:Keep checking and applying on CV library and indeed. Filter for remote roles, and try apply to customer service advisor roles in banks like Lloyd’s, HSBC, Barclays. They usually have fully remote roles. You can also register with recruiting agencies like Blue Arrows and AMS solutions who recruit for some of this corporate Orgs. The key is to tailor your CV as much as possible and keep applying. 14 Likes 4 Shares |

Hello guys, I am planning to take a Turkish airline flight from Birmingham to Abuja, there is a long lay over of about 20hrs, do I need a transit Visa to benefit from the free hotel Turkish airline do offer for long layovers ? If yes, how much would it cost and how long does processing takes ? |

alongetayo:My wife also resumed same role with Lloyd’s bank sometime in September, and a good number of those that joined with her left for better roles before the end of their 10 weeks training. She just started NYSC before we left Nigeria, so she practically has no serious experience. The plan is for her to gain some experience before she starts applying to other places. I would say it all depends on what you plan to do in the long run. But if you have immediate financial obligations you feel care jobs can settle quicker, you can go that route as well. 2 Likes 1 Share |

peacenaija:If he works with a smaller firm(big 10), he stands a chance. I know a guy from PKF Kenya that got a manager role in a big4, another from an indigenous firm in South Africa got an assistant manager role. Just have the relevant experience, package your CV well and be prepared to defend your CV during the interview stages. |
