In a recent development, Nigeria gave foreign airlines a deadline to streamline fares, failure to do this and the airline will be banned. Fares in Nigeria and fares in other neighbouring countries are so different its ridiculous.

Reacting to this deadline, Britain has said that any moves to ban their airlines will be met with retaliations. According to Britain, the result of any such ban on her airlines will result in "a heavy handed action that would be catastrophic." (Who Them Dey Threaten?)

Also brewing is Britains inability (or refusal) to grant Nigerian Airline, Arik, landing slots in her airports. They are willing to refuse our airlines landing slots but are unwilling to reduce their fares? Sounds unfair
