I knew this would make front page making me first to comment. Here I am modifying my response but then my personal belief forbids me from expressing my opinion on the case in question,it is not in my place to celebrate or condemn the lapses in any ministry. The lesson for us Christians is to know God personally so that the ''errors'' of our mentors or spiritual leaders won't make us fall short of God's glory.

Would you blame Northerners for hating GEJ? I have visited the NorthEast extensively this year! The first feeling you get once you get there is the sense of Abandonment! You feel as if you are in a strange land other than Nigeria!
Here's what I would have told GEJ if I was his Advisor!

1.As early as 2011, when the the Bullshit started, I would have braved it and toured the Affected Areas extensively interacting with the people on the ground and making a Huge show out of it!

2. Fire the Minister of Defence and bring the Ministry directly under my control so that the People would know their Safety means a lot to me! And not use the post for political concessions to the North(by appointing Gusau who does virtually Nothing)

3. Take it a Step further by ordering the Building of a Harmattan Presidential Palace in the NorthEast(the Camp David version of the White House) where you can go to spend 2 or 3 months of the Harmattan season in such areas bringing along the Massive Security Entourage that comes along with your Position! This would allow for better appraisal of the situation and also endear you to the people while stabilizing things (the Abuja scenario comes to mind)!
Northerners may be Fanatical, Stupid, bla bla bla but it takes little to impress them and once you have them, they will die for you!
You are from the South Already, hence you have nothing to worry about in terms of Support base!

4.Start touring the IDP centers scattered all over the country to see things for yourself (I saw them in Yola last month and wept) Fire one or two people publicly to show Nigerians you don't take nonsense(there is massive Diversion of Aid meant for these people)

5. Visit all the Military Formations Personally (Obasanjo did this) and secure the Loyalty of Mid-level Officers! Don't ever let your Generals feel too comfortable or Confident, lest they might take you for granted and start politicking themselves!

6. Revisit the implementation of the make-Up of Unity schools across the Country! I expect to see 90% the Pupils of FGGC Abuloma to be Core Northerners and 80% of Students in FGC Chibok! to be Core Southerners, as such, the next generation becomes fully integrated into the country! I have met Kanuri Girls born and bred in Lagos, and believe me, they behave like every other Lagosian, so does Joshua born and bred in Kano, behaving like a Dan Kano! It is a Shame that such formative years are ignored only to mobilize fully grown men/women whose bigotry is fully matured(after >20yrs of nurturing) to go and integrate by serving for 1yr! I laugh at such integration!

7. Initiate the Clean-Up of the most Polluted Delta in the World(the Niger-Delta) and see that it is completed in my tenure(that would win you Immense Global Admiration as a Futuristic Leader with Nature Conservation in Mind)

These and many more would be done by a Leader who truly nurtures the Unity of the Country! But by sticking to Old Doctrines that have outlived their purpose, hheheheheheheh!!!!

So you see my Friend, our Oga is not EXTRAORDINARY in a World today where people seek the extraordinary! Where Youth are seeking Radical Changes! Where people are Idolizing Leaders who are signing Moratorums on suspending Death Sentences, blueprints for ending Gas Emissions, Marine Life protection, Renewable Power Generation etc!
