Yes you can if it’s April/May 2022 you want to attend your visa interview. When you get to US you can renew it.

HI, You are good to go with your 2yrs valid Passport. You can always get it renewed in a Nigerian embassy closest to your
state of study in the U.S. Alternatively, you can also get it renewed in Nigeria if you do come to visit before its expiration.

Please I need your advice. I have a similar issue. My own passport expires February 2023 and is it possible I go to the embassy with it around April/May?

I think it's better you get your passport renew before you apply if that's possible.

It's more expensive to renew passport abroad btw.

Thank you for your response. Though I am in an European country but my enquiry on Nigeria Embassy in Netherlands and people’s experiences shows they’re very slow with renewing passports and if you don’t tip them your passport will be left unattended to. Thought this only happens in Nigeria but I was shocked.

No they don’t

Is your wedding before interview and are you getting married in Europe or Nigeria?
If your wedding is before the interview and she has a tangible thing she's doing in Nigeria that will prevent her from leaving with you to the US then she can apply with you.
Another one is you apply alone and she come to meet you. However, if you are both going together then you have to conclude on one place that either of you have strong home ties.

Hi good morning, if you are getting married soon before your interview, and you won't be going back to Nigeria, I guess you both plan to have a distant wedding right? However, you stand a greater chance of getting the visa than her because of your location. I will advise you tell your wife to hold on and not apply now as your wedding might come off as emergency and plan to Japa to the VO. She can apply months later, at least 3 months later isn't a bad idea. All the best.

You aren't even married yet, and you already have an admission. Are you going to get married before resumption?.

Going for interview with your newly married wife within such short duration is kind of risky. It will look like you guys married just to be together in the US, my own opinion though. Wait and hear from others

I would like to ask a quick question. I got admitted for my masters program with a tuition waiver and a research assistantship position (Fully funded program). However, I am not in Nigeria presently and would be applying from where I am in Europe.

I would be getting married soon and my spouse would want to apply for F2.

The question is she’s in Nigeria, I will not be applying from Nigeria so am confused how she’ll go about it because I want her to apply with me. Is there a way you can suggest I should go about it? I will appreciate your suggestions.

Sokoloan is evil. They'll drain you with their interest and any default even after giving notice won't work with them.

Fellow Nigerians, you can easily make money from this fools. Borrow, give them notice via email and default for some days then let them send their messages, pay back a day after and take the bastards to court and demand for 50m. It's that simple!

Have you seen Germany's new law for Nigerians... Now you have to write Testas if you want to fall into category A for Msc. Also, waiting time to get an appointment date for Nigerians is now 10-12 months after applying to the embassy. Furthermore, you have to pay the 4.2m into your blocked account before going to the embassy.

Its been quite a while.

I will be reapplying for my study permit soon after two refusal last year having faith that this will be an approval. I will like to ask for clarifications on some things.

(1) Is online route and paper route same amount?
(2) I got an admission to MUN for a year masters program. The department only offer 1 year masters program. Is this a problem because I read previous post against 1 year program.
(3) I will like if anyone in Canada can help me with the ordering of my gcms notes.

Lastly, do you still believe you can put up a better application with an improved positive attitude towards it?

why not go for MA in history & int'l studies, VO's might be assuming history alone isn't in line with ur UG course, & how convincing was ur SOP?

Thanks. I would have but cant find a course for Masters in dat. The only one i cciuld go into is History "canadian history" which is a form of intl studies.

I tried my bst in putting up my SOP n telling them my specialisation n d reason why canada was chosen.
