I doubt the pictures submitted as the cause of the power failure or blackout experiencing by Nigerians. I suspected these pictures were cropped out from somewhere or rather they should submit a picture with good geometry of the area area. Election is closeby and we getting a lot of vandalism the government will submit quotations for repair in billions of naira. Government should use someone as escape goat all these will stop. Any director and minister that under his or her watch record damage of property or vandalised should be made to pay for it deny any benefits after court marshal. |
Audio killing, fire in the picture doesn't seem caused by bomb explosion, looks like Bush burning fire. |
I though before a suspect can be parade when the crime was not a hidden one because there was a eyewitnesses, why not present the suspects to be identify by the eyewitness first to ascertain doubts prior to announcing or bring the suspect to justice. the invaders were not mask during the claimed search order, the lawyer that approved the order has not been disciplined, why is police always parade people first before the victim knows about it. which way Naija. |

24. “What is the connection between taking the number of PVC of the ‘traders’ and the forthcoming election? There is something sinister about it, and Professor Osinbajo, of all people, should know that.” I'm so worry on this one If that is true, we are doomed. |
Please, can someone explain what is Bond, is it not collecting money rom people and give them certificate. Why should debtor rejoice over his or she savings when the money still belong to people with interest. The series of tensed political developments in Nigeria coupled with some negative macroeconomic statistics have taken a huge toll on the competitiveness of Nigeria’s stock market, crashing the ranking of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, to worst performing in Africa 2018Year-to-Date, NSE was ranked best performing in Africa in 2017. It was also ranked the third best in the world last year by ‘CNN Money’ after recording a whopping 48 percent returns on investments during the year. Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE However, Vanguard checks revealed that as at Tuesday, September 3, 2018, the NSE All Share Index, ASI, had fallen by -11.3 percent. The weekly pan-African stock market monitor by United Capital Plc, a Lagos based investment house, which built the statistics indicated that BVRM (“Regional Securities Exchange) was the second worst performing stock market in Africa with a negative return of -11.1 percent. BVRM covers Francophone West Africa’s weaker economies including Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. The analysts listed Morocco Stock Exchange as the third performing with -7.1 percent negative return. South Africa, competing for leadership position amongst African economies by size, also had its bourse, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, JSE, going down, but was better of with a -1.3 percent negative return. On the flip side, the Tunis Stock Exchange, TSE, topped other major exchanges, rising by 33.4 percent during the eight month period, followed by Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, ZSE, and Ghana Stock Exchange, GSE, which rose by 21.8 percent and 7.9 percent respectively. Explaining the lacklustre performance of the NSE, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, Managing Director/CEO, Cowry Asset Management, a Lagos-based investment banking firm, said that the major constrictive factor that led to weak performance of the Nigeria equities market is the present political situation, adding that none of the countries that outperformed the NSE is going through a national election fever. “The earlier part of this year witnessed a lot rumbling in the ruling party, which scared foreign investors away from the market. So, 2018 is completely different from 2017 because 2018 is almost an election year because it precedes a national election with a lot attention now focused on political activities, leading to heightened political risk, which investors are shying away from. That is why also the equities market has not done well in 2018. “So, it has to do with political risk in addition to some economic factors such as the normalisation of interest rate in the United States of America, increase in yield in the United Kingdom and even the normalisation of monetary policy by the European central bank and Japanese central bank,” he said. A Nation cannot survive with history with facts. "My people perished due to lack of knowledge" We need History in our Schools so that we can have documented fact stories after debates and adequate investigations. Please, read and give your polite opinion without been sentimental.. Annulment was payment for Abiola’s evil deeds – Sen Owie ON JUNE 12, 2013 By Emmanuel Aziken, Political Editor Former member of the House of Representatives, former Senate Chief Whip and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rowland Stephen Owie says the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election was a divine recompense for Abiola’s alleged past political misdeeds. {b]What is your perspective on the June 12, 1993 election?[/b] When people talk about June 12, June 12; June 12 has no meaning. June 12 is the repayment of evil for MKO Abiola. Whatever you sow, you reap. I said about four years ago that if Abiola had been president he would have been dead. You think so? Yes, let me tell you. Before anyone can say that the annulment was evil they should answer four questions. Number one, who was that politician that brought what was called the Maroko land deal to limelight? Who was that politician who used the Maroko land deal as an albatross on the neck of Chief Obafemi Awolowo? Who is that Nigerian or group of Nigerians who went to Obasanjo and connived with him and removed the Electoral College act from the decree of 1978? Who is that politician or group of politicians that aided the military to take over the government of President Shehu Shagari in 1983 after the NPN convention? Who is that politician? Who is that politician that aided the military in disqualifying all the major candidates of SDP and NRC? I say if they can answer it and the answer is negative for MKO Abiola, then the annulment of June 12 is evil. But if the answer is yes and it’s MKO Abiola, the annulment of June 12 was the best thing that happened because you can’t plant mango and reap yam. In 1979 I was in the UPN as a member of the House of Representatives and there was a provision in the transition decree of 1978/79 which made provision for Electoral College if the presidential election became inconclusive, and it really was inconclusive, because Shagari did not get two-third of the 19 states. So, we were preparing for Electoral College. NPP, GNPP, PRP and UPN we had majority in the National Assembly which constituted the Electoral College. The late Mallam Aminu Kano of PRP, Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim of GNPP, Nnamdi Azikiwe of NPP and Awolowo of UPN had met and we had all met. But three days to the Electoral College Obasanjo removed the clause on Electoral College; he removed the goal post within the run of play. The Electoral College was removed after the election when we were getting ready for it and that was why Awolowo had no other option and he had to go to court and the judgment gave rise to the issue of 12 2/3! A human being cannot be half, he is either full or… and that is why Justice Sowemimo said that that judgment cannot be quoted in future. Abiola and Obasanjo were involved as Egbas to remove that clause. Concord brought the headline “Maroko land: Awolowo where is your sincerity”. We were in Minna when it was published. Look it deflated the old man, it scattered him, in fact, he was no longer himself and he started battling how to explain. Now NPN went for their national convention in Kano and Umaru Dikko, he is alive, he said the presidential candidate of the NPN is not for sale. MKO Abiola wanted the presidential ticket he didn’t get it and he then came and aligned with the military people who now came in. And IBB came and set up two political parties, Shehu Yar‘adua, Adamu Ciroma and other major contenders in SDP and NRC, overnight the military disqualified all of them, aided and abetted by MKO Abiola. Because if Yar‘adua were (involved) there was no way MKO would have won. He was not even in contention until the disqualification of these major contenders. That is why I said that June 12 was a repayment for evil that was done against other people. But how do you see the June 12 election in terms of electoral conduct and fairness? The June 12 election because it was an open ballot and had only two parties which cut across tribal lines was one of the fairest elections everheld in this country. June 12 showed what a good government can do in an election. If IBB and Aikhomu wanted to tamper with the election, they could have tampered with the election, but they didn’t. It was a free and fair election but what I am telling you is that the annulment that came later was the hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob. What do you mean? What happened was a repayment for evil. But was that justified on the nation? Yes! What I am saying is that it was God’s own work, it was God’s own work. For Abiola’s alleged sin of… All the sins! But did that justify the derailment of the collective hope of Nigerians? What is the collective hope of Nigerians? Democracy Was the Buhari coup against Shagari justified? Was that the collective will of Nigerians? That is debatable because many Nigerians welcomed the coup just as majority of Nigerians were against the annulment of June 12. It is because you are a pressman. Do you know how many people in my village that were not interested and were happy with the annulment, even though some of us were not happy. You, were you happy with the annulment? The annulment served Abiola right, quote me! You cannot be destroying other people and expect to have victory. There is a parable that all those who destroy other people will end up having destruction at the hour of their victory. MKO should not have expected anything less. Tell me, was it justified for Shehu Musa Yar‘adua and Falae in the SDP to be disqualified? What did they do? Was it justified for Adamu Ciroma and co in the NRC to be disqualified? What did they do? They were all disqualified in both parties so that MKO Abiola who was a friend of the military could emerge as the strongest candidate. It was no secret that he paraded himself as a friend of the military. That man could not have expected to become president of Nigeria when he had ruined many people. The truth is that God does not come down to do some of these things Himself. He uses human beings as instruments and that is why when a man is looking for elective or appointive position, maybe as LGA chairman, governor, minister or president, he is looking for an aspect of the divinity of God. It is out of that divinity that the man in charge of affairs takes, compassion, service to the people, ability to manage everybody, forgiveness. Unfortunately, the moment you get that position and you do not utilise it, not generally, just some part of it…if you watch when Christ cured the ten lepers only one came back to say thank you, but he said where are the other nine? And if you read Hipppolytus he said that as soon as Christ asked where are the nine that the leprosy returned to the nine and they died of leprosy. President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said the position of his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo was under threat. Buhari said this at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, while hosting a delegation of the Conference of Nigerian Female Parliamentarians. Reacting to the demand of the group for a female Vice President of the country, Buhari, on a lighter note said: “It is a pity the VP is not here, but I believe the Secretary to the Government of the Federation will brief him that his position is threatened. “It is only the Vice President who is threatened. And if we win the next election, he may lose his election.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/05/25/osinbajos-vp-position-threatened-buhari/

what is going in the politician brain, why do you withdraw $495m from ECA to buy jets from your debtor when you know, you're getting the same amount from him. not that the jets are coming in immediately before you wasted our tax money to fund your US visit. is like you're owning me money and still want me to pay the goods i need from you, that is cheating. when you have international relationship minister or US ambassador that can do the same job. |
I weep for my country, a country where one celebrity win it all in an event without a moral, social, innovative or creative impart to our society is celebrated but where our graduates with good result and had impressive thesis were not celebrated, encouraged or motivated, even FUTO an institution in IMO State, a first class graduation was given less than N5k in the same State. It is a shame!!, they will later tag us as lazy youth. Why should I waste years in school studying while I can only stay under cameras for few months and make millions or pick up guns, start killing or kidnapping innocent people and get compensated. ![]() |
on all these killings that have been recorded so far this year none of the serving chiefs has been tired or fired or voluntary resigned. a country where there is no value for human live only sees it as a game, may God have mercy and help us!! |
We believe to pay our ways to heaven without asking the right question "what we should do to make heaven" that's why a lot of criminals are using church as their alibis. Everyone is listening what our Papa or Daddy says not what Jesus said. Salvation and Judgement is by individual not by group. The rate of crime in this present day is because we value money more than any else. Jesus was known by speak the truth and stand by it even to his death and works He did and The Apostles, But Today, churches are known by their material thins, how beautiful Church building looks, who has the best Cars or private Jet. |
I'll only agree on the statistics when you compare it to poverty level and governance sustainability base on salary and pension in every region |
IpobExposed:The same comment we have heard before. Buhari faults clampdown on Boko Haram members Lekan 4 years ago Former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari has faulted the federal government’s clampdown on Boko Haram Islamic insurgents. He accused the government of killing and destroying their houses while the Niger Delta militants were given special treatment by the government. Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored in Kaduna also admitted that the road to the registration of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was rough, pointing out that the promoters of the party were well prepared for any hitch that may arise. Buhari who first spoke in Hausa before the English version accused politicians from the Niger Delta region of starting the current in security in the country by recruiting and arming youths of the region in their desperate attempt to retain power as governors. The former Nigerian leader said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government. While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state. According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all. “What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force. “After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped. “The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment. “So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money. “How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn’t control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police. “The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses. “Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today. You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty. “They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished. They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice”. Leaders are known by the constructive and positive opinion rather than accepting their responsibility |
I don't really want to defend him but lets get this clear, Peter Obi said, I have had one wristwatch for 17 years, he didn't say I have this wristwatch (meaning this wristwatch I have on me, perhaps, he has one at a time not two. ![]() |
