Before something is retaken as you wrote, it first had to be taken.. do u agree.. the Crusades to the East were in every way defensive wars. The ex-wife said she met Omar Mateen online about eight years ago and decided to move to Florida and marry him.

At first, the marriage was normal, she said, but then he became abusive.

“He was not a stable person,” said the ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because she feared for her safety in the wake of the mass shooting. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”

While the FBI has not identified Mateen publicly, U.S. law enforcement officials said his identification was found on the body of the killer, who was armed with a handgun and an assault rifle.

Authorities think he used those weapons to kill 50 people and injure dozens more in the attack on the gay nightclub that began just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Mateen was killed in a shootout with police three hours later after a SWAT team assaulted a section of the club where Mateen was holed up with hostages.

Mateen’s ex-wife said his family was from Afghanistan, but her ex-husband was born in New York. His family later moved to Florida. In 2007, Mateen graduated with an associate degree of science from Indian River State College.

In a series of Myspace photos, Mateen is seen taking selfies and wearing New York Police Department shirts in a couple of the shots. His ex-wife identified him as the man in the Myspace photos.

Mateen’s ex-wife said she was having a difficult time when she first met him and decided to move to Florida to be with him. The two married in March 2009 and moved into a two-bedroom condominium in Fort Pierce, Fla., that Mateen’s family owned.

After learning about what happened in Orlando, she said: “I am still processing. I am definitely lucky.”

After the couple split, a friend of Mateen’s said the young man became steadily more religious. The friend, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Mateen several years ago went on the pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia known as the umrah.

“He was quite religious,” the friend said.

He said Mateen had hoped to become a law enforcement officer but that plan never panned out.

The last time he spoke with Mateen was about three weeks ago. There was no indication when they talked that Mateen intended to carry out the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. The friend said that if Mateen had sympathies for the Islamic State or other terrorist groups, he kept that to himself.

“He never spoke about that stuff,” the friend said.

Dartevious Parker, a neighbor who lived near Mateen, said Mateen had a 3-year-old son. The neighbor had also seen a woman living with Mateen and the boy. Parker said he never spoke to her, and she did not wear any religious garb.

“This is a shocker,” he said. “I was surprised someone from here would do something like that.”

Florida shooting: At least 50 dead, 53 injured at Pulse gay nightclub

At least 50 people are dead and 53 others are injured, with the toll expected to rise, after a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub in the United States in what officials called "an act of terror".

The gunman was killed during the incident at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, early on Sunday (local time). He was named as Omar Mateen, a US citizen, aged in his late 20s, from Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The death toll made the attack the deadliest single shooting incident in US history, eclipsing the 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech university, which left 32 dead.

President Barack Obama said the incident was "heartbreaking" and an act of "terror" and "hate".

At least 50 people were killed and 53 others were wounded in the Pulse nightclub before the suspected gunman was shot to death by police.

Islamic State's claim of responsibility was carried by Amaq, the organisation's news agency, Reuters reported.

"The armed attack that targeted a gay night club in the city of Orlando in American state of Florida which left over 100 people dead or injured was carried out by an Islamic State fighter," said the Amaq statement.

The suspected shooter was identified by authorities as Omar Mateen, a Florida resident who a senior FBI official said might have had leanings toward Islamic State.

The FBI official cautioned, however, that proving the suspected link to radical Islamism required further investigation.

Two US officials familiar with the investigation into the massacre said that no evidence had yet been found showing a direct link between the massacre and Islamic State or any other militant group.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also said they had yet to see any direct contacts between any extremist group and the suspect.

Speaking at the White House, President Obama said the FBI would "spare no effort" to determine whether the suspect had been inspired by any extremist group.

The two officials familiar with the investigation said a leading theory was that the suspect somehow was inspired by Islamic militants.

One official said early information, the nature of which he did not disclose, indicated that the shooter was motivated by a mixture of "hate" and religion


Federal authorities believe the shooter was Mateen, the US-born son of Afghan immigrants, he said.

'ACT OF TERRORISM'

US Representative Adam Schiff of California, the senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said in a statement issued after a briefing on the massacre that several factors indicated the attack was an Islamic State-inspired "act of terrorism."

He noted that the incident occurred during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, that Islamic State had called for attacks during that period, the target was an LGBT nightclub and it was hit during Gay Pride weekend.

Moreover, he said, that if accurate, "according to local law enforcement the shooter declared his allegiance to ISIS (Islamic State)."

An audio message purportedly issued last month by the spokesman of Islamic State called on followers to launch attacks in the United States and Europe during Ramadan, which began on June 5 in the United States

"Ramadan, the month of conquest and jihad. Get prepared, be ready ... to make it a month of calamity everywhere for the non-believers ... especially for the fighters and supporters of the caliphate in Europe and America," said the statement allegedly made by Abu Muhammad al-Adnani and distributed over Twitter accounts usually associated with Islamic State.

"The smallest action you do in their heartland is better and more enduring to us than what you would if you were with us. If one of you hoped to reach the Islamic State, we wish we were in your place to punish the Crusaders day and night," said the audio clip, the authenticity of which could not be verified.

A state of emergency has been declared in the city of Orlando, as well as for the entire state of Florida, following the attack.

Dr Mike Cheatham, of Orlando Regional Medical Center, said it was likely the death toll would rise further.

The gunman was carrying an assault rifle and a handgun, and wearing what police described as "some type of device", when he opened fire in the bar just before 2am on Sunday, just as the bar was about to close

A police officer first exchanged gunfire with the suspect minutes later, before the standoff developed into a hostage situation.

A SWAT team engaged in gunfire at around 5am to rescue hostages inside the nightclub, Sheriff Jerry Demings said.

The gunman was confirmed dead and the hostages were freed.

Hours later, a man who was arrested with a number of weapons in California told police he was going to the Los Angeles gay pride parade. However, the two incidents were not believed to be connected, Santa Monica police said.

​POLICE ACTIONS 'SAVED LIVES'

One police officer suffered facial injuries in the shooting, but his Kevlar helmet saved his life, a police spokesman said.

A controlled explosion heard during the standoff was caused by a device intended to distract the shooter, Police Chief John Mina said.

The decision to storm the club saved at least 30 lives, Mina said

President Barack Obama had been briefed by his homeland security and counterterrorism advisor about the shooting.

The White House said Obama had asked for regular updates as the FBI and other federal officials work with Orlando police on the case.

Press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement that the president has directed federal officials to provide "any necessary assistance to pursue the investigation and support the community"

Javer Antonetti, 53, told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper that he was near the back of the dance club when he heard gunfire. "There were so many (shots), at least 40," he said. "I saw two guys and it was constant, like 'pow, pow, pow'."

"It was one after another after another after another," Christopher Hansen told CNN, describing the gunfire inside the club. "It could have lasted a whole song."

Video footage showed police officers and civilians carrying injured people away from the club and bending over others who were lying on the ground.

Dozens of police cruisers, ambulances and other emergency vehicles could be seen in the area.

Mina Justice was outside the club early Sunday trying to contact her 30-year-old son Eddie, who texted her when the shooting happened and asked her to call police.

He told her he ran into a bathroom with other club patrons to hide. He then texted her: "He's coming."

"The next text said: 'He has us, and he's in here with us'," she said. "That was the last conversation."

Jon Alamo said he was at the back of one of the club's rooms when a man holding a weapon came into the front of the room.

"I heard 20, 40, 50 shots," Alamo said. "The music stopped."

Clubgoer Rob Rick said it happened as patrons were preparing to head home at closing time.

"Everybody was drinking their last sip," he said.

He estimated more than 100 people were still inside when he heard shots, got on the ground and crawled toward a DJ booth.

A bouncer knocked down a partition between the club area and an area in the back where only workers are allowed. People inside were able to then escape through the back of the club.

Christopher Hansen said he was in the VIP lounge when he started hearing gunshots. He continued to hear shooting even after he emerged, where police were telling people to back away from the club. He saw injured people being tended to across the street.

"I was thinking, are you kidding me? So I just dropped down.

"I just said 'please, please, please, I want to make it out'," he said. "And when I did, I saw people shot. I saw blood. You hope and pray you don't get sho

Orlando Nightclub Shooter Called 911 to Pledge Allegiance to ISIS: Sources

The gunman who opened fire at a gay nightclub in Florida early Sunday, shooting over 100 people, had called 911 moments before to pledge allegiance to the leader of ISIS, law enforcement sources told NBC News.

Shooter Omar Mateen, 29, appeared to be a follower of ISIS propaganda and referenced the Tsarnaev brothers, who carried out the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013, at the scene, sources said.

But as investigators try to determine the radicalization that apparently motivated Mateen to attack the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, his family believes he was pushed over the edge by pure hate against the LGBT community.

Various law enforcement officials have identified the shooter as Mateen, who was born in New York and lived in Port St. Lucie on Florida's eastern shores.

The attack, which claimed at least 50 lives, is considered the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. While authorities are still investigating what set off the gunman, the shooting is being considered an act of terrorism.

President Barack Obama in an address to the nation Sunday afternoon called it an "act of terror and an act of hate."

Mateen, who was carrying a handgun and AR-15-type rifle, died after a SWAT team stormed the club, police said. The shooter, who worked in security, according to the family, had active security officer and firearms licenses, records show.

Records also show he had filed a petition for a name change in 2006 from Omar Mir Seddique to Omar Mir Seddique Mateen.

Because of his name and heritage, there were immediate questions about Mateen's possible ties to Islamic fundamentalism — but his father said it may have been a recent incident involving two men showing each other affection that set the gunman off.

"We were in Downtown Miami, Bayside, people were playing music. And he saw two men kissing each other in front of his wife and kid and he got very angry," Mir Seddique, told NBC News on Sunday. "They were kissing each other and touching each other and he said, 'Look at that. In front of my son they are doing that.' And then we were in the men's bathroom and men were kissing each other."

"We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident," Seddique said. "We weren't aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country."

Seddique added, "This had nothing to do with religion."

Driving the point home that religion was a consideration in the mind of investigators, at a 10:30 a.m. news conference Saturday, officials brought a member of the Muslim community to speak.

Police did not explicitly say Mateen was Muslim, but Islamic groups put out statements against the carnage.

"We condemn this monstrous attack and offer our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of all those killed or injured. The Muslim community joins our fellow Americans in repudiating anyone or any group that would claim to justify or excuse such an appalling act of violence," the Council on American-Islamic Relations Orlando Regional Coordinator Rasha Mubarak said in a statement.

Seddique said Mateen was a husband and father to a 3-year-old son. The family's home in Port St. Lucie is less than two hours south of Orlando.

He worked in security and had attended Indian River State College, where he got an associate's degree in criminal justice, his father added.

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., whose district includes the area of the massacre, suggested to reporters that "more likely than not" the shooting spree at the nightclub was ideologically motivated.

"Let me put it this way," he said, "the nationality of family members is indicative."

The family's background was not immediately clear, but Grayson said Mateen was a U.S. citizen.

ISIS Claims Responsibility for Blasts Near Syrian Shiite Shrine That Killed at Least 20

ISIS claimed responsibility Saturday for suicide blasts that a monitoring group said left at least 20 people dead and more wounded in a predominantly Shiite suburb of Syria's capital.

The terror network released a statement claiming responsibility for killing and wounding more than 80 people in the Sayyida Zeinab area south of Damascus after three suicide bombers detonated two explosive belts and one car bomb, according to global security firm and NBC News analyst Flashpoint Intelligence.

State media said eight people perished in the blast. But the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 20 were killed and the death toll was expected to rise because more were in critical condition. Thirteen of the dead were civilians, while seven were pro-government fighters.

Sayyida Zeinab is home to a shrine of the same name that thousands of Iraqi and Afghan Shi'ite militia recruits visit before being assigned to the front lines to fight ISIS and other Sunni rebel groups.

Sayyida Zeinab has been a frequent target of bombings in Syria's civil war, now in its sixth year. On April 25, a suicide car bomb struck a military checkpoint, killing eight people, and in February, a series of blasts killed at least 83 people and wounded more than 170.

Syrian state TV aired footage from the blast site, showing several vehicles and shops on fire and at least two buildings whose balconies, doors and windows had been destroyed. Blood stains could be seen on the debris-covered road. Fire engines rushed to the scene to extinguish fires caused by the explosions.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in a statement called the attack "appalling" and said "those responsible for attacks on civilians must be held accountable."

Washington condemned the attack in the strongest terms, said State Department spokesman John Kirby.

"This terrorist act demonstrates once again the inhumanity and brutality of all that (ISIS) does and all it stands for," he said.

I will not lie to say some pastors don't push down. They do. Ah many are fake. The genuine ones don't even bother touching anyone, it's every man according to their faith. They give you the Word and allow you work it out, by it having free course in you and being gloried into a testimony.

Some pastors, sha, if they push you, you resist, you will be termed demon possessed. They will keep at it till they eventually push you down and claim victory.
The Holy Spirit strives with no man. When your spirit submits, you'll go down. And, it doesn't necessarily mean going down is the manifestation of the anointing, you don't need to fall for the Holy Spirit to do his work in you.

I have been pushed before and it was annoying. I have seen where people have been pushed. And i have also seen where people pretend to be speaking in tongues and falling.
