Stories like this just never end. Yesterday it was a thief turning into a goat. Today it is a thief cloning governor's phone. What's it gonna be tomorrow. I guess we should all stop paying precious money to get educated since no one credits us with an atom of intelligence. "Mscheew!" |
:p |
Lol! |
Tudor, I asked a related question on another thread and I got some feedback. Here's the link for the thread with all the bookstore info: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-269219.0.html Some of the stores are pricey though, but you should be able to find what you're looking for. |

Sounds like a plan! I don't have novel-length manuscripts, but I do have a collection of stories and a few poems I slaved on over the years. This is a wonderful idea. Thanks Joan 4427 for making the pitch!!!!!!! Abeg, wey Seun |
Heheh!!!! Everyone on Facebook is talking about this novel. We are waiting, waiting, waiting, for the release date! ![]() |
bgees:@bgees, Thanks, man, for the info. But I think roadside vendors in Yaba only sell used/recycled novels, right? What I'm mainly looking for are new novels. Quality books I can package as gifts to family and friends, etc. Do you know if there are such bookstores that carry them at a reasonable price? If I can find a reputable stores that carry new foreign novels at N2000, I will be very glad. Most stores I've seen usually ask for like N4500 And please, where is Silverbird located? Any contact info for them? (Don;t mind my asking, I am a JJC) Thanks a bunch! |
tpiah:@ Tpisaah, Thanks a lot for the reply and suggestion. I have not heard of NMA Bookstore. DO you have an address or website info for them? Many of my friends in Surulere say they buy their books from roadside vendors like in Ojuelegba, etc. What I'm looking for is a place to buy new quality novels for use as gift to friends etc. Pls forgive my ignorance, but where is Silverbird located? Thanks! |
BlueDiva:@ BlueDiva, Really, okay thanks for the information. I'll check this out. ![]() |

Sorry, topic deleted. Pls see duplicate post. |
The count-down continues, 5 weeks and 3 days. YES!!!!! |
Are you referring to like bookstores in Balogun market, or something like that? They usually don't carry new foreign novels. Eg Stephen King, Grisham, Jackie Collins. Even if they do, it is the pirated copies or old second-hand editions. I'm in Lagos. |
dominique:I don't think the book has been released yet. I went to the publisher's site and they said in July. We are waiting patiently for the tantalizing book. |
tpiah:Thanks, Tpiah. So where do we go to buy novels in Nigeria? Do you have a good recommendation? |
Joan, we are still waiting, waiting, waiting. Good job though on publicizing this book. It's all everyone is talking about lately. CAN'T WAIT OOOOOOOOOO!!!!! |
Didn't someone post a topic about where to download e-books for free. I saw that topic like 2-3 weeks ago. You should probably search through this section for it. I'm sure you'll find the thread/ recommended site very useful. |
All ex-feddy girls in the house, say, YAY!!!!!!!!!!! |
