Landing your dream job has become more of a task, especially when one is confronted with pressure of impressing one's families or well wishers. The truth is that getting your dream job is not really a matter of how smart you are, but through the Grace of the one above. For the purpose of those in desperate need of job, my advice is that Oluwa who created you knows better,and will surely favour you at the appointed time. As a human we are, the following attributes would help us in landing our dream job and open our chances ahead of other candidates. Please, read carefully;

1. TIME MANAGEMENT: It is always advisable that as soon as you received invitation for job interview, ensure that you put all your things in order; such as making copies of your credentials, washing of your clothes and properly ironed, arrange everything you would wear or use, at least 24hrs before interview day. This is to eliminate any obstacle that would disrupt your time management. When going to the venue of your interview, ensure you get there at least 15minutes or an hour before the scheduled time.

2. LOOK NEAT AND SMART: Interview is not a do or die affair. Just try and package yourself well with your shirt, trousers or any corporate dressing well ironed and starched as the case may be. Though, dressing code depends on the organization that invited you for an interview. The most important thing is that , try and iron your cloth whether new or old and look more neat and on point. Please, don't look like baba Ajasko or cut your trouser like Alpha in the Mosque.

3. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Seriously, your face has a lot of messages to pass to the interviewers. As soon as you step in to the premises of your interview venue, exchange sweet pleasantries with the security at the gate down to the receptionist, your fellow aspirants and finally to the interviewers. This is not a matter of saying you're not an extrovert or introvert. Smile to any person your get in touch with during that period of interview. Don't be too pompous to socialize with people there, and also ensure you smile when explaining something. Don't frown face, 'Oh my God' , smile wisely and turn things in your favour.

4. DO SOME RESEARCH: It's so funny that some candidates don't even know or remember the name organization they're called for an interview. When preparing yourself with GMAT questions, make up little time to research about the company you want to work with. Research about them on Google and know few important things about them. Also, research about the functions of your job role. For instance, if you're invited for HR job, endeavour to research for the role of HR on Google before embarking on your journey.

5. BE HONEST: While it is easy to claim what you don't posses, the effect is that when you have finally landed the job, pressure will be on you to carryout your job role. In drafting your résumé, try to be honest and answer any question being thrown to you during interview, because any attempt made by playing smartness would create more problem for you later. Just be sincere with yourself.

6. DON'T RAMBLE: Please, as an intending staff, don't ramble in any form, quietly make your point and stop. Don't allow them to capitalize on your long details by bombarding you with more questions from your watery mouth. Don't talk too much when thrown with a question. Don't be a parrot for little question that need smart answer. Be wise and hit the nail on the head.

7. EXPECTED RESPONSE: Please, it is a crime to give either a 'YES or NO' answer to any question thrown to you . Always try and avoid using it because it might cost you if you use it. OYO.

8. MAINTAIN EYE CONTACT: It's very important you maintain continuous eye contact with your host. Don't look as if you are a ghost, prove to them that you're not a robot. Try and practice it it while at home, or better still watch any TV presenter on television.

9. BE ENTHUSIASTIC: Prove to your host that you have the zeal and all it takes to bring positive change to the organization. Market yourself and tell them the passion you have in your job role.

10. STRENGTH AND WEAKNESS: It's very pertinent to summarize your strength and weakness at home before embarking on your journey. Preparing for your strength and weakness must go with practical example of true life phenomenon. Don't wait until you get to your interview venue before analyzing them.. Always be proactive.

11. DON'T LEAD: When facing interview panel, don't try to be too smart by leading your interviewers. Allow them to direct the whole period of interview, and don't try to ride them .

12. DON'T BE TOO CLOSE: It's not a good idea or doesn't show good attitude when you draw yourself too close to your interviewers. Always ensure a little space for their comfort to be on a saver side. Don't seat until you are told to do so. Don't be dishonest or being vague to any question thrown to you.

13. SALARY NEGOTIATION: It's very wrong to ask your interviewers how about your salary. They are the one that will raise that issue. When forced to state exactly how much you want them to pay you? Don't state the exact figure like pay me 400,000 naira. Tell them the range which is between 400,000 to 700,000. This is applicable when you are force to state figure. The best answer is 'PAY ME BASED ON ORGANIZATION STANDARD FOR ENTRY LEVEL'. But, if they insist on knowing the exact figure, give them the range.

14. DON'T GO UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPEN NEXT: After concluding your interview, endeavor to ask reasonable question to them, and find out when next you should be expecting to hear from them. Don't vamoose from the venue like headmaster without knowing what's next.

15. FOLLOW UP EMAIL: After concluding your interview, try to send vote of thanks to the HR through the company's email, appreciating him/her for the opportunity given to you, and your passion to develop your career in that industry.


And finally, pray to God to crown your effort with success. Destiny can only be delayed but cannot be denied. Don't regret ever going to school because better days are ahead. You shall be be celebrated.

When you get to Ajah, take bus/cab going to Ibeju Lekki Hospital, Akodo. Lagos. They are more close to patient than that of Lagos state Teaching Hospital Ikeja.

The doctors are excellence, nurses are on point and pharmacy department is superb. There is 24hrs light. 24hrs medical attention. We even got there around 00:13am that early morning and was fully taken care of.

Yesterday, my good friend was admitted into Ibeju Lekki General Hospital, Akodo and was astounded on how patients are treated like egg here. Just in the night yesterday, this people served my friend with free rice and stew with assorted meat on it. This morning again, with my greatest surprise, he was served with a cup of tea, milk, loafs of bread, sugar and egg for breakfast, without them asking of kobo. The same thing as well was given to each patient . I was shocked to see that this country can still be good this way again despite economic recession. I am so so happy that with time, our country will be better. They are even preparing another food for patients lunch and dinner.

President Muhammadu Buhari says the Treasury Single Account policy has started yielding results.
He said this while reacting to questions at a meeting with members of the Nigerian Community in Saudi Arabia at the Nigerian House in Riyadh on Tuesday evening.

He announced that his administration had introduced a number of policies and programmes aimed at saving the nation’s economy from collapse.


Buhari cited the TSA and the Zero-based Budget as some of the meaningful financial policies that was checking fraud in the system, saying it had started yielding fruitful results.

According to him, “the nation has so far realised over N2.6 trillion” from the newly introduced TSA.

He, therefore, expressed optimism that with the introduction of the single account, the 2016 budget implementation might not record any form of deficit at the end of the financial year.

Three University of Zimbabwe graduates on Thursday
stunned President Mugabe and other senior
government officials when they staged surprise
protests during this year’s graduation ceremony
demanding jobs.

The government, as represented by Jonathan Moyo,
the Higher and Tertiary Education minister, is
threatening to withhold their degrees as punishment
for this brazen act. The trio of Alex Mukamba,
Tonderai Dombo and Tembinkosi Rushwaya, which was
later taken to court and fined $10 each for public
nuisance, however, stand by their action saying there
was nothing wrong with demanding employment
creation in the country.

Despite toiling to obtain degrees and other scholarly
qualifications, a majority of university and college
graduates in Zimbabwe are failing to secure
employment. Many of them have turned to street
vending and other menial jobs to survive.
Mukamba, who was studying political science, said it
was necessary to challenge Mugabe and his ministers
so that they know things are not well for the majority
of graduates in the country.

“We were graduating but there is really nothing to
celebrate. Each year thousands of graduates are
churned out but there is no employment for them. Last
year alone we had about 17 000 graduates from about
nine universities without adding people from
polytechnics and other vocational colleges. Of that
number, very few are getting employed; it seems we
are celebrating unemployment,” he said.
“Those government officials facilitating the graduation
ceremonies are living good lives and they can afford to
send their children to universities outside the country.
What we did on Thursday was a voice against the
government demanding an environment where
graduates are employed. We are suffering and we
shouldn’t act as if everything is normal.”

Mukamba said it was disheartening that parents and
guardians strived to send their children to universities
but after completing studies, they still needed to fend
for them as the graduates were failing to secure
employment.
He said his protest was driven by sad realities of the
current economic situation that was affecting most
graduates in the country.

“Poverty is what is pushing us to do this. Personally,
my parents had to sell household property so that I
could finish my studies but after graduation I still have
to look up to my mother for everything. That is painful
because I should be able to look after my parents after
graduation,” he said.
Former student leader Dombo said Mugabe must be
reminded that things are not normal in the country and
he has to act.

“The economic situation in the country pushed me to
do what I did on Thursday. Truly, there are no
prospects of getting employment as many companies
are closing each passing day. With that in mind, you
get to a point as an individual of saying ‘I need to
stand up and say it to the Chancellor himself’,” Dombo
said.

“As a former student leader I felt obliged that I should
represent the students I have been leading. The
majority of them are fearful to tell the authorities that
things are not normal. I realised that someone needed
to stand up because keeping silent on such matters
makes no sense. We have to speak out against the
few elites who have access to the country’s
resources. We cannot keep silent when we have been
reduced to living like baboons or other wild animals,”
he said.

Dombo said a majority of brilliant youngsters were
failing to make it into university because of poverty
and for the fortunate few who managed, life was
becoming unbearable as they were failing to secure
employment.
He said his protest was not influenced by any political
party or civic organisation, but by the genuine plight of
the deteriorating situation in Zimbabwe.
Dombo also said he was not afraid of Mugabe’s
regime, which he said thrived on corruption and
instilling fear in the citizens.
He also took a dig at Higher Education minister
Jonathan Moyo who threatened to withhold their
degrees.

Rushwaya told The Standard that if Moyo withheld
their degrees, they would also write to universities he
studied at to ask them to strip him of his
qualifications.
He said the reaction by government had shown that
they received the message and therefore they need to
act on it.
The government of Zimbabwe stands accused of being
responsible for the alarming unemployment levels in
the country.
Zimbabwe Coalition of Unemployed Graduates (ZCUG)
said the government needed to be pushed so that they
rectified the situation on the ground.

“What Dombo and others did is very important in
reminding the president that people are graduating to
be come. That was a very important stance which also
sends a message to the international community that
Zimbabwean citizens are living as paupers. The
majority of parents and guardians are struggling to
send their children to university so that they have a
better life but upon completion of studies there is a
sad reality of unemployment. Mugabe has just failed,”
ZCUG coordinator, Howard Madya said.
Co-coordinator of ZCUG, Samuel Meso weighed in,
saying graduands at all universities must stand up
against Mugabe’s ruinous policies.
“The stance taken by Dombo and others at the
University of Zimbabwe graduation ceremony should be embraced by all graduands. The wave should spread
to other institutions so that we send a clear message.
We cannot continue to watch as this government
displays lack of political will to provide jobs. Speeches
do not bring jobs,” he said.

In February this year, Vendors Initiative for Social and
Economic Transformation (Viset) revealed that more
than 2 000 university graduates in Harare and
Bulawayo alone had resorted to street vending as the
economy continued to dwindle in a report titled
Unemployment and Economic Shrinkage: From
University to the Street.

@OP where the issue with number plates comes from is the untimely updates on FRSC check websites especially for those that went to buy from other vendors aside FRSC & VIO.

It took more than 2yrs for them to upload and update my number plate details on their check website. So if you newly got your number plate, this might be your experience expecially if you bought from their annexes in the local government secretariats.

Men eh!! They succeeded in delaying us so long. I even showed them my recent plate number registration paper.

The funniest part is that this was not even the 4th time am applying that route.

If there is anything God will judge first; it should be Nigeria police men on the high way. Haba! Imagine this morning as we were driving from Lagos down to PH to partake in one family event which is scheduled to hold by 4pm today. A team of arm robbers popularly called Nigeria Police stopped us along Bayelsa demanding for a normal high way check. After parking our SUV car, we were told to show our particulars, which we gladly showed them. Having been briefed about embarrassment inherit by Nigeria police, we did all necessary documentation before embarking on the journey.
Though, I agreed that we were riding a new car but, the embarrassment of asking this and that questions as if we were on a bad mission made us to maintain eagle eyes on them by ensuring no paper was omitted. After checking the particulars and agreed how genuine the documents were, they went further to request for driving licence in which we gladly showed them. In fact the driving licence is due to expire by 2017.
As we were talking with one of the police men, one just came and demanded for our documents for the second time. As I rushed to get the documents again, one of them just showed his colleague that we have an expired plate number. When l came back, I was told i have an expired plate number. Huh! I said not again in my mind.
Expired plate number? Haba, I said. What happened to my plate number again officer? That was when they regain their wickedness. The Inspector now drew us closer to his phone and showed us that our plate number is invalid. Huh! Invalid ? as I asked; with less tone bearing in mind that I was issued a temporal document at the road safety office by agents . To cut the story short, I told them that my plate number is active and not invalid; and beside when have function of Nigeria Police changed to checking of ones plate number on the high way. As the argument was going on, they demanded we should follow them to the FRSC office to verify the authenticity of our plate number. When I discovered how stubborn this set of people were, we decided to rap small mind with them before they finally let us go. I even collected the website from them in order to share it here with our people. Naso police gently collected 1hr57 minutes of our precious time.
Fear Nigeria police abeg, they bad gan. Pls, mind my poor construction. I just dey vex.

A friend of mine out of her interest in landing a job in a particular company after a successful interview decided to send this message to the Human Resources and now she is regretting ever doing it.

So, was it bad of her sending that message to the recruiter so that she won't try it again next time.
