Tgirl4real: Under 20??Yes,too young but happening daily. Girls marrying just after secondary school is gradually becoming the in-thing. |

coogar: wow - that's serious......why are there so many females willing to marry than the males in nigeria?Who said the men don't want to marry? Na condition make crayfish bend. They have to finish school, secure a job, become financially OK and stable or above average before they can think marriage as opposed to ladies who are expected to graduate, get a job(it doesnt have to pay 6 figures, anyone can do) and marry asap. Lerrie John: Unfortunately a bitter single parent or divorced is still a role model, thus giving rise to future abusers and abused...it's what they learnt from home na...True. The topic na waya. I dey pity the contestants already. ![]() |
coogar: ify stop exaggerating....chics of 28 are still rocking the town in naija with high hopes that one lucky dude would still ring it.That one na one high hope that is charactarized by continuous fasting and prayer, casting and binding, holy water and anointed oil drinking. Ideally,28 is a good age for a woman to marry but it's not so in Naija anymore. Once a woman clocks 26,pressures from family, friends, pastors starts. |
"One of the most powerful teaching tools parents have to convey their values to their children is their own relationship. Children will learn to be tender, compassionate and respectful of their partners when they see their parents model these behaviors". ^ ^ ^ @ Efe,what happens if the parent(s) themselves do not possess those qualities? What if it's a bitter single parent or divorced? Would they still qualify as role models? |
24 years @ Obino? It's too late o. A 26 years old single lady is seen as "old and quarter to expire" in Nigeria today. Waiting till 24 can lead to injury time.lol |
This one hard ooh. I'm following with an open mind ![]() |

Are they legally and properly married? If yes,why have she not tried the legal way? Even if they are not properly married, its her kids too. She should declare the missing and/or kidnapped. This is pure madness and trust me,most times,it takes a 200% dose of high level craze to cure such madness. 4 years ke?Every member of that pesin family, young and old for don disappear. ![]() |

Dangote has a long standing business relationship with India. Deal with it. |
There is no way any human relationship CANNOT be symbiotic, not even in marriage. Right from birth, childhood, everything, all we do as humans is for mutual benefits. Now, the "benefit" is relative and not quantified in all situation. When I give alms, the smiles of happiness I get back, plus the believe that one day,I or one of mine in need might be helped by someone else is my "benefit" - silly as it may sound. I put my kids through school cos I expect them to come out with good grades, get a good job, live good lives, give me grand kids and make me happy in old age. I take good care of my husband so he can concentrate and make enough money for the family. Soooo, long story short, giving and receiving is perfectly normal and cannot be eliminated lai lai. It only becomes unhealthy when its parasitic- one person giving, the other receiving. |
1. Stop generalizing. You only helped an individual, not your whole village. 2. When you just waltz in into peoples life(try to help) without studying the fella, understand or try to understand his current situation ie why are things not working out for him in Nigeria, then ferry him straight to obodo oyibo as if there's a magic wand there, then expect such problems. * did your friend ever tell you he wanted to travel abroad or u think traveling sorts all problem? * how do you and ur husband talk with him when you do "correct abi give him orientation" ? In a condescending manner, reminding him how u guys rescued him from death in 9ja? *we all live our lives differently. You've helped him? Fine! Let him be his own man, take charge of his life including mistakes. He'll either learn or suffer for it. You cannot change his personality because you transported him to ala bekke, biko. Too much information kpa kpa in your write up! If you or your husband have shared this story the way you did here to friends, then its understandable to see the man avoiding yous. Who wants to be demeaned, as in, thoroughly washed, dried and re-washed just because s/he was "helped" ? Lastly, you help people because of God then let go! Don't expect them to repay back, sing your praises, dance to your tune. He's an adult for fvcks sake, give him space. Let him say whatever he likes on FBK or wherever, ignore him. PS: I'm assuming things happened as you claimed. |
Im really struggling not to abuse some people here. I mean are y'all daft or your eyes are on vacation. Gosh ! Bus stopped this woman at side A of the street with her wares. She stays at side B and has to cross with her wares. Whell barrows/truck pushers cant cross the highway to carry her wares so her only option was to find help or keep them on the walk way temporarily, then probably load on her head and cross to side B. Oshimole caught her while she was about to do. Now,common sense,i mean even a day old baby can tell that the woman is not hawking anything by the road side. For God's sake those are ctns of satchet tomatoes, cheese balls, bobo juice, canoe soap, omo detergent ,indomie noodles and all are sealed. It's so obvious! so freaking obvious. How could anyone be this daft and mean,so careless with words and so wicked at heart? How ? Perhaps this woman took LAPO loan? She might have borrowed from mkt women contribution? One of the late husbands siblings might have cursed her out before giving her that money? All that gone. Not just that but also asked to go and die? God. I cannot fathom this. |
Afam you should ban yourself. Going back and forth, derailing the thread. what has kidnapping got to do with this thread? Enough of offtopic, abeg. |
I just cannot stop crying for this woman. Why?Man's inhumanity to man. Who knows if she took a loan, contribution, how hard she toiled to gather the money she used in purchasing those things? For the blind men claiming she's hawking, who hawks satchet tomatoes, cheese balls, canoe soap, bobo drink all in sealed cartoons in Nigeria ![]() Not one person in the governors entourage could help, that dude was kicking the ctn of cheese balls with his legs. God,where are you ? |
9jauk: 90% of Nigerians abroad, support the government in this act,no doubt,I think is absolute dangerous for hawkers to be risking thr life's trading on the road,on the hand I feel the pain of the helpless lady. Please stop posting rubbish! Did you watch the clip at all? What was the woman hawking? This woman for God's sake alighted at a bus stop with her wares. She is not hawking or selling anything at the road side. |
