The family should act fast and if they can, involve private investigators.

The school (KWASU) sent the OP an final email yesterday. It's so sad. Would anyone have the money to pay his fees and not pay? I'm sure they would have re-opened the portal for final year students if the state speakers brother was a final year student. Why was the portal opened for 200 and 300 level students and not for final year students?

Contents of the email :
Reference to your later dated 4th of NOV in which you appealed for concessional consideration to enable you pay tuition fees after the deadline,i write to inform you that the Vice Chancellor have declined your request.
it is to be noted that the period for payment of tuition was clearly stated in the KWASU acedemic calendar.
The only option for you now is to apply to the registrar for "suspension of studies" this session, and route your letter through your HOD and provost of your college. This,if granted, will enable you continue your studies next session ie 2014/2015 academic session.

OP,has been really down, who won't be? He's drafted his application for suspension of studies(when i spoke to him this morning) but he's still being hopeful and waiting to see if the school authorities might change their mind by tomorrow(exams start tomorrow) and if nothing happens by morrow,he'll have no choice then than to submit his application, hope its granted then continue next year. sad

boay: It is not about policies. There is no policy that forbids reopening of the school portal for final year students. Remember that the same portal was reopened for other students who are not final year students.

Also, it is not academic shortcomings, but financial.

OP and Ify, please what was the reason given for the hesitation?
No reason that I know of my brother.

Where are the mothers of those pregnant girls? Where are the "spirits" that got them pregnant?

Problem with such cases is that this man will bribe his way out, relocate or rename his outfit and continue.

Cycle of doom.
Family › Re: Becoming A Mum B4 30 Years by ifyalways(f): 10:12pm On Dec 04, 2013
^ ^ Why really does she want a baby and NOT marriage ? Please don't tell me its cos "she loves babies"

Making and rearing babies is not making bread. There must be a valid, well thought out reason and well laid plans before one can embark on that journey, a young, single lady especially.

Does she REALLY know what she wants ?

It will land on your head first.

musiwa112: adburaqa, tinubu build 1 Millennium School in 8 years.. and show that school on television 10,000 times from different angle. from the roof, left, right etc. he convert all of the state money into his personal money. he has over $3 billion in assets and brought an airline from the state treasury.

i have been using the internet to run the opposition.. not tinubu.. that why they want to pass a bill to jail me for 7 years. they are assshole.

ROSSIKE: You do realise that many hawkers can afford to rent shops but won't because of greed to sell more goods in traffic and on roads while avoiding rent and tax obligations?
Na lie! Not in this Nigeria would anyone have money to rent a shop yet choose to hawk.

Renting a shop is different from slapping a make-shift kiosk/shanty/table. Some of the hawkers can afford the make shift kiosk(at the risk of being demolished without notice by govt agencies) though.

Family › Re: Is It Good To Trying To Get Pregnant When Not Yet Married? by ifyalways(f): 9:03pm On Dec 03, 2013
Your sister I presume is an adult and we have varying reasons for getting into marriage, different goals and priorities.

She's the one dating the man,not you. If for whatever reason she feels the man is shooting blanks/is incapable of getting her pregnant, which is what I THINK is happening now, and she wants to have kids, infact having children is on top her priority list then she's 100% right to reject the mans proposal!

You just have to sit down with her and find out why she thinks the man cannot get her pregnant. Have they seen a doctor? Did she have a DC in the past and worried about herself?

Her life, her choice. You can't make her change her mindset unless she decides to.

kulyie: The second time i was duped in trade fair was when i went to buy a 25k tv set.that time flat screen had not yet come out.it was all this mega big t.v then old folks use.unfortunatly for me i went to the area where they said 'no testing' as they packaged the cd into the carton,me too i was happy that yes,emi na ra t.v cheesy as i got home say make i remove the tv from the carton and drop it on the table,e be like say my eyes dey deceieve me that day.as soon as i dropped the tv on the table, every part of the tv disembered.the back fell off,the sides, everything,it just fell like a pack of cards.as i looked inside i saw squeezed news papers stuffed inside, tissue papers, nylon.my ass glued to the sit.i didnt know what to do.i didnt know when a tear dropped from my eyes.

I said ok,no problem, but this people will not get away with what they did.thats one of the reasons i sold my old bb that is almost as good as dead to one of them about 2yrs ago twice.its until i get home they will realise the many faults in the phone ranging from blind screen to battery problem,to mouth piece etc.that was my own way of getting back at them
How is this scam?
You went to buy a cheap no testing/non-tested product abi? So how in God's green earth is this scam? You got what you wanted.
Who goes out to buy anything, electronics especially without seeing the contents, testing it and confirming it huh

You buy pirated CD's too and want to complain. Worst still, you did not bother to have it played randomly and thoroughly before making payment? Lagos girl?
This is not scam, you just acted fooolishly. That is it. as it is.

Phema: Wait, lemme get this. . . Is it that his studies has been suspended indefinitely or he was told to re-register next year and complete his studies?
No,he has not been suspended indefinitely. He will re-register and start his 400 levels afresh next year.
@Chili-Good suggestion. I'll talk to one of the super mods.

PS:Phema - I called the OP this morning in regards donation transfer and he said i should hold on to the funds. He's still confused and working with other students to see if they will be re-considered.
