Family › Re: How Do You Tell Your Wife That Her Soup Is Not Sweet? by ifyalways(f): 10:26am On Jul 10, 2011
Men sef!

How do u tell her that you are bored to death with "missionary position" and wants to try something else? You show her by starting it,taking the lead, right?

Same way with her culinary skills cos before you can honestly say someone's cooking is not good, you should be better than her.Get into the kitchen yourself and prepare that delish soup u have in ur head. She wud spot the positive differnce and ask you how you did it.

Or.get her the cooking book.Go to nld kitchen, print out Missy's recipes and prep. methods and keep handy in ur kitchen, she wud get the message.

Btw,During ur courtship days she never cooked 'soup' for you?was the 'soup' sweet then?
Family › Re: My Wife Wants Me To Pay The Medical Bills by ifyalways(f): 10:13am On Jul 10, 2011
@OP,you and ur wife need "koboko" first.24 strokes for ur wife,49 for you.

First off is your wife currently pregnant?ur write up did not clear that.

If she were 9 mths preggie and called you,you ought to leave ur office,go pick and personally take her to hospital or at worst send a company driver to her.On the other hand if she wasn't preggie or when she called, her condition(as she reported) was not an emergency, she sould have easily used a taxi.
You I bet did not call her again to find out how she was faring, the outcome of the hospital visit etc.whats ur priority,Oga?
Again, you came back and lost it.You no matter hos tired u were should have taken ur wife to the hospital, not ur landlord.Your wife knows you are dead stubborn and she (might) have used that to cash in on you.Its possible(not saying for sure) that she played a fast one on you,she needs the extra cash.
All this wahala wud have been averted if u had showed more concern, controled ur temper and had the communication lines open.

@OP,provide answers to Dayo's questions.
I personally won't leave cos of a love child he had "before" our marriage, sure the funny feeling of "what else is he hiding, what else should i expect" would be there but it'd sit down and think it through.
Have you also been totally "honest" with your past?People do lie sometimes,to protect their love intersts. Its a difficult situation but don't throw away a good and sweet amala cos of a single lump.
Wisdom child,wisdom.
Family › Re: marriage by ifyalways(f): 9:33am On Jul 10, 2011
@Jenny,Dayo is a clown but there is a huge difference in your case and the OP's own.You were schooling, you atleat leave the house daily to do sometime productive with your life, but a 26 years old, folding her hands, doing nothing else aside phocking, cooking, nollywood and gossip, haba now. This is a huge turn off!constant sex with a "totally" idle hand sucks. . . male or female.
Btw,you also don't compare those of us that married quite early to a 25 years old bride.Mbanu.At that age,she should have something going for "herself" not for her man or anybody.Tell me,how would she cope, where would she start from when the OP gets abusive or not around(God forbid)? Can she afford to go or she would be stuck in there, hanging on cos there is "nothing" else for her?
Bottomline:its always good for a woman to have her "own life, identity and income" after marriage.Men are not life insurance.
O
@OP,You know ur wife and know what she's good at,open up a small biz for her while she keeps job hunting.

Some of you men won't cease to amuse me.

You married a totally jobless 26 years old lady?In this day?no career,no business,just phock,make up,cry,phock more;why won't u get bored huh

At 26,ur woman is aiight with staying at home, phock, nollywood and listen to old wive's tales, why won't she cry?wasting away her youthful years.

Mr man, wake up and make ur wife shine her eyes too.If na school make she enter, dust up her degree and look for work or open biz for her please.

Please mind ur own 'bleeping' biz first.Do u wanna tell cos u are not the 'lucky one' or u really care, huh?Be sincere to yaself first!

Genius100:
Make una dey see women. Instead of prescribing a solution for the poor girl, they will rather "TALK" about it. Anyways, first of all, you need to let him know that you've caught him. Then ask him why he's cheating on you when you are going through hell carrying his kid. Make him promise he won't cheat on you again as he may be putting his family in danger if he contracts a disease.

As a man, the truth is that men have a natural propensity to cheat but that propensity is multiplied in great proportions if 1) the wife is constantly nagging or complaining or just plain hard to deal with and 2) the man is not getting sufficient action from his woman.

On the other hand, a man who gets along great with is wife and whose quality of life is greatly enhanced by his wife will try his very best not to cheat on his wife.

So if you are doing anything that enhances his propensity to cheat, stop it. Have a gentle and frank talk with him and let him know that he may be putting his family in grave danger by his actions and you will do your best to satisfy him. If you can't have intimate intercourse, there are other things you can do to satisfy him. Goodluck,
Very well said.
@OP,I don't know what nlders wud do for you but Im sure talking directly with ur hubby wud help u,ur pregnancy and marriage greatly.

@OP,done is done.

Call and sit down ur brother.Tell him everything you know abt him and the girl.
Who is the girl living with, her parents?
Your brother and the girl have to decide on how to break the news to both parents either through you, themselves or another matured person in the family.
The decision to have the baby or go for an adoption shld be for the young couple and parents to make.
With ur /both parents guidance, the girl can have a safe abortion, how old is it the pregnancy now?

Get a condom and teach ur brother how to use it.

Does marriage mean more expenses?
No
chukwudi06:
Are you married or planning to get married one day?
In already and enjoying every bit of it. kiss
chukwudi06:
Have you ever stopped to count the financial costs of marriage as against its gains?
No loss,so-so gains and blessings.Oluwa o she.
A trusted friend.
A shoulder to lean on,cry on and laugh with.
A biz partner.
A dad, boyfriend and lover to call on anytime, anyday.
A very private and residential abunna to quench the spirit anytime, anyday.
chukwudi06:
Would you subscribe to the postulation that marriage from the wedding ceremony to maintaining the home and raising children, is financially draining?
White wedding maybe.I really don't get the point undecided
Traditional and legal marriages, absolutely not.Worth every penny spent on it.
