Dear Nairalanders this is a very sorry situation a fellow forumite has had to battle with for the past 4 years with the Direct Labour Agency of the Delta State Government.

I rented out a couple of my trucks to the agency with an agreement of payment semi-annually but till date it's been come today come tomorrow i feel this is just the height of injustice.I had to finance the project personally by paying the drivers and maintanance of the truck as agreed with them but recouping even what i expended is impossible as it is now and i am very very frustrated.

If there's anyone in the house who could advise me on how to go about this should please respond to this post as i have ran out of ideas on what to do.Have written severally to the governor without any response have agreed to part with an unbelieveable percentage of the total amount all to no avail.

Funso,Ppl might not be responding as u expected cos many have tried such things at the past and got burnt.Not trying to discourage u,but if ur biz plans are as good as u make it sound,then take a step of faith and approach any of these new micro-fiance banks for loans(be careful though,the intrest rate can be killing).
If that does not work for u,u can work extra hard and get some part of the capital yourself,atleast the start off capital.Its easier for u to get a partner if the project is on progress(the person wud see and believe u are serious).No one can take ur dream away from u.all da best.

I suspect the relatives where staying with the hubby even b4 marriage and If so,the woman shld have outrightly refused that b4 marriage.Too late for that now anyway.I wud say,let the woman ignore them(hubby,brother and nephew) and just concentrate on her work and kids,Its really difficult sha (shes more or less like a single mum).
Is it that the brother/Nephew dont have their own accomodation or they just want to wreck her home?If the woman is close to her MIL,the MIL shld be able to help her chase away those undesirable elements.
If the beatings continue,i wud suggest she moves away with her kids for sometime
