[qauthor=chukwudi44 post=38392041] Yes you are right!! It is just that majority of the senators including the leadership are not with Tinubu hence the "the nays will have it"
Its obvious Tinubu's nominee would loose out because the President if given the chance doesn't want to work with ministers. In his recent remark, he discredited their roles. I think Saraki's senate would confirm PMB's men but reject Tinubu& OBJ's nominees with that the President would be happier working with very few ministers. This cat&dog fight between Saraki&Tinubu is in the Presidents favour. |
Apparently its obvious from the Presidents body language and recent comments, he prefer not to work with Ministers if given the opportunity. He recently called their duty a lousy one. One a voice vote commences after interviewing the ministers, there would be equal nays& ayes. Saraki would veto. There is a probability that out of 36 ministerial nominee only 10-15 would sail through. Any nominees from the Tinubu& OBJ bloc would be rejected. The President would be happy with the trimmed number. |
moyinoluwabun:Amaechi has dragged his accusers to court to come and show the world what they were speculating on the media. He's ready to defend his alleged corruption. So if you have any evidences to present please join the matter at the Abuja high court |
I'm short of words. Its obvious the President is on a one-term agenda. APC didn't see this coming. From fighting corruption to tribalism. |
Please let's get the facts right before reporting. Follow the link http://www.punchng.com/news/wike-loses-bid-to-stop-petersides-election-documents-inspection/ |
The case is not over yet. APC should proceed to d supreme court with d video tape as evidence. |
Good analysis except for the below 1. Kogi state: you have the okusn, ebiras & igalas in the 3 senatorial zones. Ebira& igala will vote on religious lines while the okuns would vote on ethnic lines. Decision: Buhari 60% 2. Benue state: based on unresolved issues in PDP leading to 2 major decampees, Gemade & Samuel Ortom and with George Akume in APC from the Tiv, also rising challenges for Mark with his Idoma people, its gonna be a swing. Decision: Jonathan 55% 3. Lagos state: block vote from here are based on high intelectualism of the peole there. The state of the economy would determine their votes. Decision: buhari 70% 4. Ogun state: unresolved issues in PDP would play into APC's hands. The OBJ effect, Running Mate-Osinbajo's effect. He's from Ikene in Ogun. Decision: Buhari 70%. |
Schools built by church funds are called missionary schools. Why can't we give back to the society what it gave us. I ask, how much did it cost back then to finish University in Unilorin? I doubt it cost N200,000. If Awo could do it with the few resources given his region, how much more the Church when tithe& offering is constant. They can make the fee a little higher than Govt Universities with condition that the pupil+parent must be church members. With that the flock would be full without evangelism. All na vanity! |
Adieu mama! I'd miss you so greatly. She once saved my job in Virgin Nigeria Portharcourt. Her protocol book her flight to lagos instead of Abuja. I sold them the tickets back then. They were almost taxing out of the ramp area when she alerted the captain she was on the wrong flight. These caused a big delay but she proceeded to lagos to connect to Abuja since their was no flight that Sunday from PH. I was queried and was about to be sanctioned with dismissal when I managed to get her number called her and she pleaded with my boss. I was retained. Adieu mama! I'd always miss you |
I have no problems with d proliferation of churches since d 70s. My only problem is the lack of accountability. Only vey few churches publish their financial records. In Nigeria, politics is supported by religious dichotomy where churches being registered as NGOs ought to make public names of its donors to the regulatory authorities to scrutinize their source of income& prevent money laundering, inflation and corruption. It is not only the religiousity of our people that is to blame but the lack of good will to present accounts to the congregants & regulatory bodies that make it possible for some pastors to claim semi-god. The churches/mosques have become equally voked with the Government in the lack of accountability |
Bantino: If you offend him, ensure that you appologise accordingly. If the cause of your misunderstanding is not your fault, ignore him for a while, ensure you prepare his food even when he refuses to eat. When women feel all they have to offer is sex and nagging. They turn men off. Try and be more respecting. Ask him for a sincere dialogue and be open to address issues maturely, no name calling, be committed to true repentance. It hurts even more when your strategy most times is when you repeatedly hurt him and apologize. He is avoiding you most probably because he doesn't want to hit you. My dear times are hard now. Men too deserve some cuddling after a hard days work. Remember, another woman's poison na another woman food. If you love him you'd keep him at all cost especially if he's a responsible man. They're hard to come by this days |
Obj might not be a saint but what he said are very valid. GEJ has been practically silent to corruption. Its gotten so worse that anytime anybody is accused of corruption, some disgruntled aides of the president will turn it into tribal war. During OBJs era a lot of heads rolled due to the anti-curruption campaign of those days starting with people from his region; S.M Afolabi(National I.D card scam), Tafa Balogun(former IG), Bode George(NPA scam), Sunday Einhdero, Chief Babalola&Femi Fani Kayode(former Ministers of Aviation)... Nobody raised alarm of tribal victimization because the Yorubas don't condole corruption even if you're the son of a king but under GEJs administration tribal sentiments has been at its peak when people are accused of corruption esp. from the SE of the country. GEJ only claims to fight corruption on paper. It's even a big dent on the president that he still has someone like Stella Oduah as a cabinet minister after the body of allegations against her. This is thesame President who didn't waste time in removing the Court of Appeal President(Justice Ayo Salami) just because he wasn't working for the interest of his party. Jonathans tenure will go down to be the most corrupt in the history of this country. How did we get here??!! I weep for this country!!![/quote. Nigeria deserves what they voted for. I envisaged this from the beginning knowing he was a Saul, very opportunistic at leadership never prepared for the baton. |
This is blasphemy. Its like comparing heaven with earth. |
When kindergartens take to rulership this is what you get. How would FG sack lecturers with a deadline 4th Dec same day ASUU commences burial programme of their slain colleague. Should FG be there to commiserate with them on their loss? Should FG attempt to continue the sack based on this new information, then ASUU would win the public sympathy. Wike is a learner |
Let's assume an even division of the political landscape into two equal halves I.e let GEJ take NW,Part of NC,SE and SS then give APC the NW,SW and the other part of NC. Counting the vote per head APC would win by 52-55% considering populations of Lagos and Kano States. Again PDPs fear is beyond GEJ re- contesting. Reasons. 1. If APC wins what shall b d faith of Ex-Presidents&their loot under a Buhari. 2. If GEJ leads this country to division, what shall happen to the common wealth of the cabals I.e the Dangotes, Otedolas, Otudekos, Elumelus,Adenugas who own OPLs in the Niger delta. The heat is on and I don't see the G5 returning save for fulfillment of all pending conditions |
Chudi99: i dnt believe this story becaus if PDP was stil interested in peace talks with the G7 it wouldnt have expeled onyilola nd baraje subsequenly, after the defection of the G7 governors. jst my opinion. Please get your facts right, the news says recommended for expulsion awaiting approval. Tukur is still in China |
ebamma: i see, if them no release my ijaw brother before 4pm, we will wipe benin republib off the world map, #militant mode activatedLandlord travel and see! Do u even know the road to Lagos? |
Its relatively obvious that only persons with background in finance, accounting and banking would understand the financial risk requiring mitigants we are in. This explains why the government look like "super-human" to the rest "naïve" ones amongst us. Let me break it down as a layman Sure P= margin in pump price, current price-old price I.e N97-N65=N32/litre FAAC=crude oil accruals, I.e sales-expenses,cost of production=unknown Excess Crude Account-ECA (savings)=margin btw global price- pegged budget estimate($110- $79)/mbpd =$41/mbpd. What this implies is as follows: 1. If ECA is used to sustain sure-p, where is Sure-P? 2. NNPC, Min Fin,Min Pet and CBN have to give a/c of figures for sales and expenses to configure FAAC. Here smart accountants can manipulate figures and deceive the un-noticing public. |
take dat: Is Amaechi a member of the Jang led NGF? Is Jang elected to govern Nigeria. Each State is a stake holder, Plateau cannot decide for Lagos or Rivers likewise Rivers cannot decide for Plateau. The ECA is not a FG account, it is a Federation Account. The President cannot unilaterally make decisions to deduct from the ECA to augment the shortfall in revenue simply because he is incapable of curbing crude oil theft. The problem is that there is no synergy, and you can't lay the blame solely at the feet of Amaechi, the President himself is guilty. Please peeps let's hear the message and not the messenger |
indrija: well saidThese crop of leaders are making Prince Audu's tenure look golden. We deserve what we get. But please corruption and lack of leadership should never be ascribed to any particular tribe since we are all united in corruption. I'm proudly Igala. |

Ms_Steph: catholic church is said to be the 1st church on earthBut did Christ form a church, did he even form Christianity? To me he is the way. All faith are linked to him one way or another through the application of his true principles which emphasis is on brotherly love, relief and truth. Therefore no religion has the monopoly of a heaven |
1oracle: Voting him out is not the problem but whom do we vote in is the real problem.Oshiomole, Fashola, Donald Duke, Tambuwal, Sanusi, the list is endless |
Sincere 9gerian: I thought some propagandists said the cars were bought for N225 million each? What is in that report is N225 million for both. What then is the current market value of the vehicles? Atleast if that is known we'll be able to objectively tell whether the cost was inflated or not.Make thunder fire you |
movmentish: oga wat fact r u up about, the highest price 4 a 2008 bmw 760 armoured is $200000 wit shipping....try and be sincere once in a while biko |
ideology: is he a victim yes or noI'd help u. PDP state structure stolen. Road to his house blocked. Suspended from party. Disregarded as NGF chairman. Federal projects to state dis-continued. Attempt to shake president denied. Condolence message rejected. 5 governors visit attacked. Tear-gas shot into his compound. Attempted impeachment. His Commissioner of sport shot. His workers at Buguma fish farm kidnapped. Attempts to reconcile with president frustrated. |
Est belle: I live in rivers state and I know how deplorable our roads are...Amaechi is just a tyrant and a trouble maker, he is the biggest loser in this fight. The most annoying part is that he is trying to act the victim and draw sympathy for the ignorant ones like most people on nairaland. The airport he is talking about is almost finished..the east west road starting from akwa ibom to onne is also at its finishing stage. Choba-rumuokuta road he awarded to his God father G.U Ake is in a complete mess, it took him 6yrs to complete that road, same with obiri ikwerre-airport road. The monorail he spent billions of naira on hasn't been completed and its does not cover up to 2 kilometers. Greater portharcourt is just a hoax, he pulled down the old teaching hospital and promised to build a world class sky scrapper (hospital), he spent billions of naira only to find out that the ground wasn't strong enough to hold the structure. He cleared abonnema wharf and promised to turn the place to another London and nothing has been done. There is no single traffic light working in port harcourt. Amaechi spent 6 years trying to build a mall shop rite and refused to complete it because omehia started the project. Rusust the state university went on strike for over a year because Amaechi refused to change the VC his friend even when the students were protesting. The so called health centers with no doctors or the model schools with no teachers, the model school where I live on abuloma road port harcourt, isn't big enough to contain the students, they had to rent a building close by for 8 million a year. He has built new roads and schools but good and feasible are they, the next government will also come and repair or patch or expand the same roads. We choose to accept mediocrity in Nigeria. Amaechi is a thief and I hope he goes to jail. Who is fooling who? Same Amaechi that suspended 7 local government chairmen because they came late to a meeting, same man that supervised the maiming of a honorable member, asked for the suspension of obio akpor lga chairman because he is pro-wike. When the gods want to destroy a man, they first make him mad.. Its obvious u travel by canoe if not are tampoline airport structures? Abuloma road used to be hell b4 now don't u c d beauty now. Can any private school measure upto that sportive ediface of a school u condemn? U call Amaechi a thief where are those Stella-Odili taxis? Who repaired d collapsed Airforce bridge and who rehabilitated d eliozu-airport road? ASUU is on strike is RSUST on strike? No! Under GEJ fuel price soar, fuel-subsidy scam happened. Sure-P is broke! East-west road killed their mama! Debt profile soar! Unemployment rate soar! Corruption soar! It was oil bunkering b4, now its oil theft! Last allocation paid was July (with outstandings). Pretty soon states won't be able to pay civil servant's salaries. Was d North a traitor when he won 2011 primaries? Why are they traitors now? Your GEJ is an accidental dictator. A kindergarten president |
Pribo: Pls the media shud not be seen as a ready tool in the hands of political jobers. Amaechi has earlier in the day thru his COS opened a parallel PDP office on Forces Avenue about three streets away from the Govt House back gate. The Police had stopped that lawlessness and had sealed off the office (which was Amaechi's former campaign office) and the adjoining streets. If they seal up d building do they have to block d road too. Haba! There are other road users that are not politicians. I was asked to turn back too. |
solomon111: Actually you are the clown here.Nice analysis, but wait a minute and you think all these non South-South thief friends "cabal" of GEJ would allow their investments in SS destroy? They'd frustrate his move all the way. |
Of what advantage would it be when they suspend all pro-amaechi from ward, LGA etc when GEJ need their block vote at d primaries |
