Purchasing the car wasn't the issue but how the deal was done secretly and for the amount involved, it does look like some shady deal... No offense. I would have preferred the council approve the purchase strictly for the Aviation Ministry, at least when people are fussing, it won't look shady. I gat to say it out on this one, Ms or Mrs Oduah got this one wrong. |

sweet_gala: The Fashola angle introduced into the debate comes from one source only, and I addressed this on a different discussion thread yesterday. eGuerrilla: If we have to start culling news articles from societynowng.com (the primary source of this report), those of you who think you've found a smoking gun now - and I am not saying there isn't one - would be sorely disappointed. |

take dat: Truth is treason in the Empire of Falsehood. This revelation speaks volume of the moral rot in our political sphere. How do we intend to curb mismanagement and graft in the public sector when whistle blowers are often targeted? Why do we have a culture that rewards malfeasance and honor charlatans, but punishes the truth teller? This is a case of manifest impunity and utter disregard for the people, instead of the Ministry to try to convince and justify the outrageous amount(over-pricing) the cars were purchased, the ministry is now on a man hunt.Stella Oduah cannot repair leaking roof. Stella Oduah neither purchased nor owns the two armoured cars. If your known tribal emotions allow you to look beyond your nose, then think: those ruled Nigeria since independence turned it to Bongo Bongo land. Gej and his mnisters have governed Nigeria in the past two and half yrars. |

The minister is wasting millions of dollars ordering Bullet proof limo, while issues of Nigerian yarning for better local planes, security at our airport and better road access to these public facilities, using these money in those area will go a long way to improve our life standard. Sincere 9gerian: I thought some propagandists said the cars were bought for N225 million each? What is in that report is N225 million for both. What then is the current market value of the vehicles? Atleast if that is known we'll be able to objectively tell whether the cost was inflated or not. Make thunder fire you 1 Like |

nextdoor84: Even if the car is purchased at 255 million each...what has that got to do with most yorubas ranting on this thread....the car belong to the office of the minister not her home...she will surely leave the office and someone else will use the car......please let me remind you all..This is not Odua republic..this is Nigeria and it belongs to all of us!! In Nigeria, when the public office holder leaves office, the person goes with all the cars - including the hilux pilot vehicles. 1 Like |

Demdem: It's good to note that this whistle blower seems to be ibo. My dear a true Igbo fellow never support evil, we stand on the truth because truth is life, many Igbos who supports this present administartion is every single thing whether good or bad are on their own. I am a full grown up Igbo man who know my right and left, i can never be fooled by a mere He is one of us. I believe in the government that favours both big and small, this government have no place for the masses. When GEJ does what is good i will commend him,and when does otherwise i wll criticize him that is why God gave me common sense to know what is right and wrong. How can a minister puchase cars with this amount while people are starving to death? when you complain people woild be telling you that she is not the first person to do that. Was vegance one of the election campaign promises from GEJ in 2011? if no why then do we use vengance for excuses whenever matters like this arise? We all voted for him, we belived and hoped he was the one to change this country, he still have work hard to prove himself worthy of our hope and expectations. This is civile rule and not military everyone is entitlle to an opinion, opposition is part of civil rule, i am useing this word civil rule because i have not seen democracy as it was defined and taut me. We should learn from critics and not to see it as from our enemies. We should stop making enemies for nothing. The level of corruption rose higher in the administration , it is the people like me that are suffering it and not the well place fellows here with many nairaland IDs who cpmment and like their comments. True Igbos speak the truth when it matters most, thank you all. 5 Likes |

Nigeria we hail thee! The most painful trend is after her tenure, this car would be sold to her at a ridiculous price of Maybe 2M and another minister comes and acquire new ones. Same thing is happening in Abuja, politicians that will spend 4 yrs or more, new houses will be built all the time with billions of naira and sold at give away prices after their tenure. Our recurrent expenditure will keep soaring and we aspire to be among the leading world economies. The government is just paying lip service to corruption. In China, a government worker was relieved of his appointment for organizing a 3 day wedding party for his son, Imagine! God bless Nigeria. |

Atleast if that is known we'll be able to objectively tell whether the cost was inflated or not. The vehicles cost $170k each. even the armoured vehicle used by Obama cost $300k while that of UK PM cost about $380k. But Stella bought them for approximately $800k. That is the real issue |
