Igba!
CR7 is more complete, more tried and tested, has worked with nothing and produced results unlike comfortable Messi in the almost eternal trinity with Xavi and Iniesta, takes more risks, plays well even with puleeenty hate later turned to adulation and love, legend for his country, different leagues baller, blood donor, all
tongue
"More tried and tested"....what does that even mean? They both play on the same platform, so that phrase os dubious.

If one were visiting this planet for the first time, you would think Ronaldo has spent his career playing in Kano Pillars with carpenters and truck drivers. For every Xavi, you have a Modric; for every Iniesta, you have a Kroos.

Takes more risk? Please dont kill me with laughter. Messi just stands on the pitch and prays for luck...Lmfao

But I see alot of Ghanians selling "Puff-puff" in Nigeria. If it's that easy to make money there, why come to Nigeria to sell such? An honest question.
Cos their "Third Cedi" is actually a scam. They just removed 4 zeros from the Second cedi. Funny thing is: Inflation is eating it away gradually too. They went with the idea of repainting a cracked wall....

What you don't understand about bandwagon mentality is that it's harder to control. It's not a switch you can put off or on, when that movement begins, thats it. Cindy placed 4th two weeks ago, now she's placing 2nd. Cindy is now a strong contender and will displace one of our fave as a finalist. I'm starting to get in tune with the reality that my Ike might not even make it to the finals. It hurts but I'll rather be hurt now than be taken by surprise. See what pity votes can cause.
This your witch-hunt on Cindy is getting out of hand. Almost annoying.

Shey dem tell u say Cindy no wan reach final? Or your Ike get 2 heads. Abeg free this girl now...

The problem with you is that you are quick to insult people but when they insult you back you'll start crying and calling the mods. I made a comment about Serena and instead of defending her, you decided to denigrate me. The stench of your hypocrisy oozes out of your comment.

I only respect people who deserve my respect and Serena doesn't.

I can't respect a woman who threatened to kill a lines judge on court. I can't respect a woman who threatened to shove a tennis ball down the throat of a lines judge, and then lied that she didn't say it even after being caught red handed.

I can't respect a narcissistic self-centered woman who allows her obesssion with herself to steal the shine from others. I can't respect an egotistic snowflake who interprets her own failings as oppression.

I can't respect a self-entitled woman who thinks that her status gives her the right to trample on the rights of others.

Most of you who support Serena aren't even avid fans of tennis. You only support Serena because she is a black woman and the media hypes her acheivements. And I don't deny her acheivements, but these acheivements have been polluted by her indefensibly bad behavior on court.

There are better tennis players to support who haven't just acheived alot but display emulative behaviors on and off the court. Women like Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova and Ashley Barty are better role models than Serena. But the media keeps hyping Serena and relegating better women to the background.

I don't play Identity politics. I won't show support to a person just because we share the same skin colour. Same way I won't support a person just because we belong to the same tribe. I only respect and support people who have earned my respect.
1. She's a tennis player not a character role model and she's good at what she does. If she was a man, you would have called her a flawed genius. Funny, this criticism coming from a Tacha 'fan' is churlish.

2. If you can go low and target her muscle bulk to call her half-man, then she doesnt even need to earn your respect; no one should.

3. Serena was wrong for her reaction to that defeat and should have accepted it with grace. However, if you dont see her as a woman who have revolutionized tennis, then i see a liar

Claptrap!
Who hasn't talked about someone else in that house including your Khafi? The same Khafi that tabled Kim and Jeff and Gedoni's matter to every single person in the house including big brother is now a saint in the house that must not be talked about. FYI Tacha complained about Khafi's deception in winning the car more than any other housemate, you would have probably known this if you were not peeping at the TV from your neighbour's window.
But its not a crime to peep through one's neighbour's window? Na poor person poor, person no kill na!!!

My point is: throwing shades at people's monetary status isnt neccessary.

Sentiments sentiments sentiments.

If you genuinely find her entertaining, you're free to vote her. Was simply talking to my teammates who are thinking of saving her because they feel she isn't a threat now that she's growing to be the biggest competition to our fave. For other teams, they're free to vote whoever they choose
Well, i understand you better now. I hope your teammates dont listen tho, lol. wink

P.S.: We make most of our decisions in life based on sentiments. If we were that objective, we would bwcome robots.

I don't understand

Is Cindy interesting, dramatic and entertaining??

Has she given you anything to talk about

Aside from pity stuffs??
You dont get the dynamics of Big brother, do you? Its not an entertainment competition!!! People vote for those they can RELATE to, not neccesarily those who entertain them. Ike might seem interesting to you, but another might find him boring but relate better with Cindy's gist. Like i said, it depends on what you relate to?

Cindy gives this "good, humble, appreciative and average Nigerian girl vibe" which sits well with a lot of Nigerians.

*Sore thumbs* I don tire to dey type

3 weeks she's been the house and all she does is eat and sleep. If all the 14 HMs were like her, I'm sure you'll never have a reason to tune into the show.
And look who's getting threatened by her!!!

You have to understand, all HMs cant display the same characters. She cant fake what she's not. She's an introvert who's hoping the world can see something worth voting for in her. That's humility, and very endearing.

We've all been underdogs in one or more aspects of our lives and I'm certain, you've hoped and prayed against all odds to be favored. Why not leave this girl and let her enjoy her time in the sun too, against all odds?

People again with these Cindy sympathy vote bull****

People will save her and help her develop a solid fan base that will send our faves home. I see there's now a #teamcindy on Twitter garnering thousands of likes and retweets.

How people ( especially my #IkeGang) don't have foresight in these things is beyond me. Like they'll never see her as a threat till She tops Ike Ike nextweek and maybe send him home.

There's no way they'll retain the teams if Cindy is saved (5 against 7? Nope!). So there no use helping build something that'll topple you one day.

#IkeGang Nairaland branch, please take note.
You people with this self-entitlement BS. Why do you think your fav deserves to stay in the house more than Cindy?

So rich for you to criticize people developing her fanbase like she doesnt deserve it. She came it to win like Ike, she deserves to win as much as he does irrespective of her game. If its based on sympathy, is it less dignifying than the "gangsta" strategy?

the ambigous parts of the constitution are not interpreted by the makers of the constitution. The people delegated to interprete could interprete either way, it depends on the judge you are standing in front of, it does not depend on the House of Assembly members that made the rules.

as a lawyer, I would advise my client to sue

As a lawyer, I am aware of how technicalities work and I am aware that cases are won and lost on technicalities.

Anything that was not categorically stated, cannot be passed off as a rule. Ambigous words can be interpreted any which way

Did Biggie say "First to Press a Bell?" Or did the rules say "First to Get The Puzzle Correctly?"

The English language is so vast, that it leaves loopholes for such technicalities. Next time, for avoidance of doubt, Biggie should use Pidgin, since English is too difficult for him
And as a lawyer, you would have heard of the words "clause" and "disclaimer". The clause here is simple: Biggies house, biggies rule. How he inteprets it is left to his discretion.

You would have lost the litigation before the session starts. You should be smarter and avoid dead-end cases. Honest advice though

Unfortunately most naija people hardly do any research before buying used cars. A person would just tell a car dealer to get him a "neat, grade 1 tokumbo direct", without bothering to do even simple Vin check on the car. Even on YouTube you will see car gurus like scotty Kilmer giving useful car tips, but naija people wont give a damn. I know a man who bought Nissan Murano jeep and never enjoyed that car at all. I dont know the millions he wasted on the damn thing, but he wouldn't have bought it in the first place if he had done a little research. From the agony the man went through, I almost concluded that Nissan Murano must be among the worst cars ever made. Later I got to know that the issue with nissan murano had to do with the problematic CVT transmission. Infact because of the issue with the transmission nissan discontinued murano model, but people were ignorantly buying its tokumbo here as graded.
I am on this table too. I can say i never enjoyed that car past the first 3-4 months. The peak was when i had to change the gear box. I was told 980K....hmmmm. Lets say i have learnt the hard way

Living testimony on Nissan Murano. If you dont want to die a pauper, just stay away. Every week, i am always visiting the mechanic like a Sickle cell patient's visit to the hospital.

Had to sell it at bicycle price.....crazy car, crazy parts.

My last comment to you
I read this one, and you misunderstood me
As soon as I read “while you are proudly Igbo, I am proudly Pan Yoruba...”
I stopped there cos anything that followed would be a fight which I don’t do
Cos I am not a fighter, arguments bore me silly, and I also happen to know the truth
The Brits ensured our being at loggerheads forever
That’s why I didn’t read your rejoinder
You can’t be blind to the hate
That you would love an Ojukwu on your screen doesn’t mean many people would
It would be the same as this, only opposite
My point is? The organisers didn’t try
And I stand by this
I stopped reading at your first line. Goodnight

Seyi can be cocky, it's understandable. Even Cristiano Ronaldo believes he's greater than Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes he's a god in football.

The real issue is what you said. Awolowo..

The igbos still hold the belief that he was responsible for the collapse of Biafra during the civil war and the mention of that name is what they can't stand.

Maybe the organizers should not have included him.
CeCe last season was terrible and badly behaved. She also felt she's superior. Not many people took her serious, until after the show that she now became a celebrity.

Seyi could have gotten away if his last name is not same as that an active politician who took some decisions that certain sect were not happy with.

If Gowon's son was selected, there's likelihood that same night happen or even any of Ojukwu's relatives too. But the Igbos are yet to be healed and national reconciliation is still needed for the issue of 1967-1970 to be forgotten.
As much as I would love to see this from your angle, I really do; I cant excuse using every oppportunity to come at Awo. It would always end up ugly. Igbos demand respect for their heritage and pacesetters. Wouldnt it be right to extend that to others?

If Ojukwu's relatives were on BBN, it would take a bastard to attack him cos of his grandfather's polity or tribe. That is what we should all stand for, not find an excuse for such irresponsible act.

Your approach was calming, direct and not two-faced though. Much respect

Predictable isnt it? I didnt expect you to read beyond that. You could paint Igbo on your fore-head but I am not suppose to tell you I'm Yoruba. You obviously hide behind the happy-go tag but you deeply know who you are. Flash news: You dont fool me.

As for the Ojukwu grandson balderdash, He owes me no reaction. I would have enjoyed watching him on my screen same way I enjoyed Frodd's rap yesterday. So save your crap.

You speak for your game? Tell that to the merchants!!! You speak from that little flame of tribalism burning in your heart chambers threatening to gain freedom.

I really don’t wanna day what I think about Nigeria but I love the people kiss
I have a British beef

But I dunno what the organisers were thinking by bringing Seyi here (I am sure there are many regular folks who could have been picked instead of him)
Ojukwu’s grandchild on the show would have been extremely polarising too to be honest/ just swap stances
Maybe they want to kill our BB (crying Patience Ozokwor meme)
I went mad with crying when Ola left Stargame (my best Naija BB housemate along with Karen) so if you can leave tribalism alone and see wharrimean?
I think they want to kill the show
This is what we should campaign against
All of us
BB unifies us a lot, like football does
My tiny piece, coming from a place of love
Seyi is as Nigerian as everyone entitled to attend that show. But if majority of Igbos cant berate Seyi without including a pun against his grandfather, then its petty and irresponsible. You dont call a man revered unanimously by a tribe unprintable names and expect them to take it lying down.

If you are proudly Igbo, I am pan-Yoruba and its an insult to my own name if my pride isnt respected. Rather than seeing Seyi being in the house as the problem, i think the cheap shot at Awolowo by your fellow Igbos IS the problem.

There would be no political party in Nigeria without independence and nationhood.

Azikwie was a foremost independentionist, negotiating with the ethnic states and Britain for a peaceful exit.
Even when awolowo and the north wanted to break this country to pieces, it was azikiwe that held everybody in place.

If he had succumbed to awolowo, Nigeria would not exist today. It was a very easy decision then.

And that is why he is the most nationally recognized of all our founding fathers.

Macaulay was a patriot and definitely ranks higher on my list than awolowo.
