Chillax, I understand what you are saying but i think igbos in the SE need to understand also that the Benin Empire had wide influence on most of us in Delta State and even up to Onitsha.

It is not out of point to for Igbos in delta state to refer to their culture that has Bini written over it. I think it would be wrong to make them deny that aspect of their history just as it is wrong for an igbo man in Delta state to say he is not igbo because at one point in history his village was paying tribute to the Oba of benin,

the most unelightened set of people in Nigeria has to be the Yorubas i swear. To them if your name is:
MOhammed- they say you are hausa, they forget that other minorities both in the North, south and even Yoruba muslim answer Mohammed
If you are kehinde- they say you are Yoruba, they forget that even in Edo state Kehinde is common.
If your name is none of the above- they say you are igbo, so it doesnt matter if it is bassey, ochuko, elohor, nosa, dafe, ejiro, ofiong, tuoyo, priye all na igbo to Yorubas.
