Why should I care? Basically there was an air raid in my peaceful hometown of Arondizuogu today by the Nigerian military... anybody who is Igbo that knows about Arondizuogu will know we are not the type of people to mess with... we are the land that produced the famous Pericoma Okoye(Alusi Makaja of Igboland)... coincidentally the Army Chief of staff died in a plane crash same day as the unrest caused in my hometown...all I can do is laugh... those that battle with the gods will only have the gods to contend with. #EnoughSaid |
Two feared dead as OPC factions clash in Osun Two people were feared dead in Ikire, Osun State, as members of Oodua Peoples Congress and Oodua Peoples Congress Initiative reportedly clashed. Sources in Ikire, who preferred anonymity, had told The PUNCH on Thursday that the crisis started in the town on Tuesday when a member of OPC was shot him dead. Osun OPC coordinator, Deji Aladesawe, in a chat told our correspondent that a member of OPC called Olayode was shot dead, despite the intervention of Akire in Council, who had earlier brokered peace between the two factions. Asked if the deceased member of OPCI was killed by OPC men in retaliation, Aladesawe, who denied the involvement of his men in the death of the rival group member, identified as Wasiu, said the security situation in the town was under control. He said, “The suspect involved in the killing of the OPC member called him out from his place of work and shot him dead. The name of our member that was killed is Olayode. A member of OPCI was also killed in the clashes that followed the first killing. His name is Wasiu. He said, “The suspect involved in the killing of the OPC member called him out from his place of work and shot him dead. The name of our member that was killed is Olayode. A member of OPCI was also killed in the clashes that followed the first killing. His name is Wasiu. Read Also “Police should investigate and apprehend all trouble makers.” Meanwhile, the unrest in the town paralysed business activities on Thursday, as streets were deserted, while many businesses were also shut by their operators. A large number of riot policemen were also stationed at flashpoints in the town. However, Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Security, Abiodun Ige, told our correspondent that the police were working to ensure peace, adding that normalcy had returned to the community. Osun Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, when contacted, confirmed that there was unrest in the town, but requested more time to get facts of the matter. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/two-feared-dead-as-opc-factions-clash-in-osun/%3famp |
lordmans:I agree with you |
Ishilove:You're getting it all WRONG. It's not so much a question of Igbo supremacy or your people been forced to accept the Igbo identity... any group of people can choose to be whom they want to be, and to be honest your people don't offer Igbos anything useful in any context of worth imaginable for us to worry ourselves (except for the delusional IPOB elements of course). The question however remains, why can't you Ukwuani, Ikwerre, Ika etc and other Igbo - phobic elements just come together and decide to evolve a language of your own? you answer Igbo names, speak variant but discernable dialects of Igbo, practice Igbo culture/traditions...the reason why I'm actually worried about you minorities with Igbo appendages not forming your own distinctive languages and culture is because tomorrow when an Ukwuani man with identity crisis issues will start a coup like Nzeogwu did back in 1966, millions of Igbos will then pay the price instead of the Ukwuani people specifically! you can't keep answering Kenechukwu or Chukwudi, you then speak a pure dialect of Igbo and then expect me not to call you out when you spite my people for calling you Igbos, I means it's not rocket science! Sort yourselves out fast because the Igbos are not going to take the fall again for your sins, we learned the hard way from the Nzeogwu coup... never again are we going to be the Guinea pigs for the sins of some hopelessly confused bunch of usurpers with no identity and history of their own. |
That's because Isreal roll with the old yet effective mosaic law of "an eye for an eye", this principle though ruthless has been very fundamental to the survival of the state of Israel... and that's why Isreal ( a very small country) despite been surrounded by very hostile neighbors whom are all collectively determined to wipe them out from the map are still standing strong today. Thanks to Israel's adaptation and adoption of cutting-edge technology in use of her defense system, advanced military training, and most importantly the Mosaic law of taking back an eye for every eye taken... they are still standing strong together. Now imagine if Israel had to follow the soft, weak, indulgent and tolerant Christian ideology of "turning the other cheek if slapped", or "vengeance is mine says the Lord" or "pray for your enemies and those who persecute you" etc principle, Isreal would have ceased to exist as a nation by now. Honestly Christianity has been a curse to us Africans especially in Nigeria, that's why in Nigeria we allow these Islamic barbarians and their terrorist allies treat us like scums, they come to our lands in the form of herdsmen to kill, destroy, maim, rape the sanctity of our ancestral lands here in the South yet we see useless pastors and other useless Christian leaders admonish us to pray and fast while our lands are been taken over by hordes of savages from the Sahel. The day we Christians in the South rise up to discard these redundant and weak spirit of forgiveness nonsense, is the day we will wipe out these trespassers from Nigeria |
This report is old cause I've definitely read this about two months ago, an excerpt from the article confirmed that the youths from the community chased away the herdsmen. |

koondog:SIGH Ok online Jet-Lee, I've heard you. |
plaindealer:The SE is unproductive in what sense? For the purpose of context Igbos are naturally travelers, it's comes with the habit so you sound very dumb. I know the angle you're tilting to and it's dead on arrival. For a region that experienced a bloody war where all its major infrastructures, capital economy, and the likes were completely destroyed, we rebuilt ourselves almost from ground zero with little or no Federal support and we're definitely doing far better than the paper statistics suggest. A region that has a huge gas reserve in Ohaji/egbema which supplies metric tons of gas to other parts of Nigeria--you wouldn't call that feat "unproductive" would you? a region that has a thriving manufacturing, production and service industry effectively indigenized like Innoson, Coscharis, Zinox etc you wouldn't call these feats "unproductive", the largest market in West Africa is right in Onitsha, Aba produces and finances its own local commodities... i doubt your region (I have my suspicions where you come from) is more productive on any fair indices than the East. |
adadike:Ada nke anyi I'm scared to see what our people are turning into, I wouldn't have thought we would be brainwashed to this point of absolute madness, people are using this Biafran struggle to leverage on the gullibility of our people with their siege mentality to cash out big time... I refuse to believe our people are this naive |
I don't have to prove my Igboness to any low IQ idiot, many of these hungry cretinuous loafers who think they are more Igbo than others don't even have a single pin much more any investment in the East, that's why they talk and reason with the uncensored stupidity of backwood savages and moonshining hilly-billies. Anyone who genuinely has something to lose will not promote crisis and pandemonium in his own region, many of you shameless promoters of chaos in our land have nothing to lose cause you don't have anything on ground that will hurt you so badly when everything is turned into a pile of ashes and debris, many of us in the diaspora who are massively investing in the East with the hopes of empowering our youths are now having second thoughts, the "Aku luo uno" project and consciousness of bringing wealth back to the East is fast looking like a facade cause some idiots who probably live in other parts of Nigeria are hell bent on fueling the tension by turning the East into a war zone, we have fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and other loved ones who are now at risk of been caught in the cross fire when the madness escalates to unprecedented proportions. Once again, God will punish any agent of destruction who wants to turn my beautiful region into another Borno and Zamfara state, may our ancestors put your insidious plans to shame Iseee!!!! |
That person is a bastard and a heartless enemy of peace. I'm from Imo state based in the USA, and I have so much plans this year when I return to the East part of which is to start a business and create job opportunities in my community, now this UGM madness has created so much insecurity and fear that its potentially driving away lots of investors from our land especially those of us in the diaspora. I see how lots of our people hail the activities of our youths who attack security personnels and I feel pity cause we don't know the monsters we're creating for ourselves... trust me I hate the Nigerian security system as much as the Igbo man next door who has suffered untold hardships in their hands, but we have to be more tactical in fighting back the injustice, for one we don't have the logistics for a prolonged war against the government like Boko haram and ISWAP do, secondly we don't have the vast geographical terrain that gives massive advantage for assymetrical type warfare like is the case in the North-East region... lastly Ndigbo are not naturally cut out for terrorism and fanaticism like the North cause we're too sophisticated for that nonsense, and we value and love life too much. With all these factors, I hope the voice of reasoning however few prevails and calls out the need to put a stop to all these insecurities plaguing the peace of our land. We can't keep wasting our youths to needless violence for goodness sake! Stop this UGM madness and revert to the original plan of driving out the fulani and other terrorist/criminal elements in our forests and rural farmlands! |
oduademon:After all these much touted greatness ordinary cattle rearers have chased your ancestors to refugee camps in Benin Republic . Better advocate for Odua Republic otherwise all this chest beating na for inside shalanga. |

SaintBishop:Kwashiman challenged you to list notable Ijaw women known in the socioeconomic circles of human achievements, but all you've done is display profound cowardice by avoiding his challenge and throwing repetitively stupid insults about... are you indirectly admitting that there are no notable women of substance in your whole tribe? |
valirex:Edo man wetin concern you with South South affairs? you should be with your yoruba masters |
