Are we the only country that has corrupt people.?

Why aren't we developing like others who have corrupt people. Example South Korea.?

and why are IPOB Scared of a Country for Igbos alone?
Atleast yorubas here do their oduduwa things among themselves, I don't see them taking it to their old western region mates like the urhobos, isokos, binis etc.
These desperation of Ipob over Non-Igbos is embarrasing.

Why are One Nigerian Igbos scared of Referendum in Non Igbo areas to know if they are interested in joining the Igbos to form Biafra the way Scotland, Wales and England formed one Country.?

United kingdom is made up of 3 ethnic groups

Italy is made up of at least 10 ethnic groups

China is made up of at least 40 ethnic groups

What is wrong if several ethnic groups through a Referendum agree to form Biafra.?

This has to be one of the least logical arguments I've ever seen on Nairaland. So corruption isn't a problem in Nigeria because no country is without corruption? How about saying "infant mortality isn't a problem in Nigeria because no country is without infant mortality", or "poverty isn't a problem in Nigeria because no country is without poverty"? By that "reasoning", Nigeria must be an earthly paradise, as there is no problem plaguing the country that doesn't exist in other places.

Newsflash to OP: there's this small thing called degree, and understanding its existence is essential in making judgements. Everybody must die someday, but that doesn't mean dying at 30 is no worse than dying at 85; similarly, corruption make exist in every country in the world, but it's ridiculous to pretend British or Danish or Japanese corruption is as bad as the Nigerian variety, where big thieves are routinely hailed as "heroes" by the very people from whom they have stolen so much.

Answer this simple question below

If corruption exist in all countries, why is Nigeria not developed like those countries.?

Think deep

South Korea has been rocked by corruption scandal too

I think you are the one missing the point here.
Kanu had earlier said there would be no election in Anambra state.
He later urged ndi Anambra for a boycott which he still maintains anyway.
Now it is now the house speaker that will take over if there is a successful boycott meaning he still believes in the sovereignty of Anambra and Nigeria in particular.
As for the referendum issue, I don't think he has petitioned the UN as we speak even if the UN decides not to listen to him, moreover you have been told to go for the referendum but doing nothing about it.

You have problem understanding how his tactics can affect Nigeria

Once the speaker is sworn in, to conduct another election, and that election is boycotted, it will get to a point when the speaker himself has to be reelected.

At that time, the speaker won't be able to conduct an election because his own reelection has encountered a boycott too.

Then what happens when both the executive and legislative arms are unable to stand because the election for both arms have been boycotted.

Ifedith:
I'd like express my opinion on the idea that corruption is the sole cause of Nigerias woes. I'd like to point out first and foremost that there's no country on earth that's not corrupt. Corruption according to definition is a Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving many activities including bribery and embezzlement. From the above definition corruption isn't only centered on stealing which the average man usually associates with corruption, it entails alot of dishonest practices including bribery and embezzlement.
With a clearer understanding of what corruption is, I'd like to point out that there's no country that's not corrupt but they're making real progress that is impacting the life of the commoner, take for instance, India, China, USA, UK, etc, but take a look at Nigeria, how can you be fighting corruption and you slide into recession, to put this is perspective, take for instance that your bucket has leakages and of which everyone else's has leakages, and when you pour in water, it flows out(corruption)leaving you with little , but other people's buckets with leakages seems to get fuller than yours, you then proceeded to seal the leakage(which is buhari anti corruption war) and then when you pour in water, you now found nothing inside your bucket (recession). Now tell me, does that make sense? Solution is simple, pour alot of water(people centric policies) and seal as much as you can, other progressive nations know this cus they know that it's not possible to end corruption but they've realized that when poverty is reduced, corruption is also reduced significantly. In other words keep pouring alot of water while you continue to fix the bucket.
The summary of this topic us that fighting corruption shouldn't and can't be the only and sole objective of this administration, poverty and corruption go hand in hand. Buhari, there's poverty in the land, fix that while you fix corruption, cus currently you are not fighting corruption, cus if you were fighting corruption and reducing leakages there would have been plenty in the land.

Very true

Absolutely true

Unfortunately, Afonja newspapers have fooled the people of Nigeria that corruption is the sole problem of Nigeria

How can Nigeria eliminate poverty which in turn will reduce corruption when we practice a Unitary government and economy

Restructure Nigeria and see corruption decline as a result of reduction in poverty

That is one of the reasons why Biafra must be resurrected to separate us from Afonjas who believe only corruption is the problem without tackling poverty which is a good fertilizer for corruption
Politics / Re: Ibibio Clan To Present A Mou Template For The Proposed Biafra Nation by IgboSubmarine: 5:06pm On Aug 11, 2017
Wise approach

It is good each ethnic group in Biafra ask themselves how they want to coexist amongst themselves and between other ethnic groups in the new nation to arise called Biafra.

Next time, they should back up their meeting with a video evidence to silent Afonjas and their newspapers.

I am not here to answer questions , do you feed me? Try and behave like an adult. The Ibaka claim is a one sided claim . I was alive and aware during Obasanjo's govenrment .Aba road was a single carriageway and I travelled that road several times. There was no Patani road and the Airforce Base used to be the PH airport. Budget in those days was to the order of 10 billion and had to be spread. Still he built that road to Enugu, and PH airport , Clearly the government decided on other priorities and there is always an opportunity cost to these choices .Govern ment is a continuum. If one government does not do it the next can. WHy did we build Abuja instead of a seaport or power plants or a rail network Government is hard and there will be opportunity costs.

Nigeria is a big place and everyone has complaints .What do they have in the North EAst from FG

You can keep ranting to console yourself but take note that as long as we can't import all manner of products through all our Eastern seaports, our desire and clamor for a separate nation will keep growing.

Anything the useless country must do to get those ports fully operational since we now import more from China which is closer to the Eastern seaports, should be done now to reduce our agitation before it is completely too late

You are misdirecting yourself with these questions
The Status quo at the ports developed over time not overnight and at the dritcical moments in our history the bulk of our imports were from Europe. It is important to remember that imports may be measured in monetary value and also tonnage. It would be interesting to see the data but looking at our roads I do not see many vehicles or Trucks that are made in Asia even the Toyotas ets are American or European imports. Heavy machinery and industrial equipment for the oil industry was traditionally European or American. That was the situation until recently when we started importing more from China but by then the patterns have already been set and Lagos established first mover advantage which has led to a population explosion and the creation of the largest market. Humans are creatures of habit and the Lagos habit is firmly entrenched from the importer perspective. Wheteher we import more now in terms of tonnage from China would be interesting to find out but the market is firmly established in Lagos and that is where most importers want to be

Answer the questions first before we can continue

Let me repost it in order to help you and others understand better our complain.

Which continent do we import the most from.? Asia(China) or Europe/US

Which is closer to Asia ( China ) and Middle East nations between Eastern ports and Western ports.?

Is like most of the illiterates here don't know what they call Freight quotes and cost. Some many factors contribute to high freight cost like distance, insurance, security of the vessel.

Look at the coast line of Lagos to Europe where most of the things are imported from look at the coastline of Calabar,Onne and Warri you will understand that the Eastern ports are inland ports closer to the rest of Africa But far to Europe,Asia and America where most goods and merchandise are imported. Lagos is more closer to Europe.

Besides the Eastern coastline to other parts of Africa and to Europe is along the Gulf of Guinea that is full of sea pirates along the coast of Somalia.

As a business man why would I not prefer to collect my goods from Lagos and transport through road or rail to other parts of Nigeria than incure a huge freight cost of ships coming down from Western axis down to the Eastern axis.

Why do you think Some business men import Cars and other things to Cotonou and Lome and then bring them through the land border to Nigeria. The Freight cost is simply cheaper because Cotonou and Lome are closer to Europe than Lagos so likewise is Lagos closer to Europe than Calabar,Warri and Onne.

As far as Nigeria is concerned Onne,Calabar and PH ports were constructed majorly for Export of Coal and Crude oil not for Imports.

People that have used Onne will tell you it's simply expensive because of freight cost.

If the FG wanted to marginalize the SS or SE they won't build the ports in the first place. Maybe they would transport the Crude oil to Lagos and then ship it to the World.
