My POF will mature on the 13th of July. I want to pay for Visa and IHF today and book for biometric ahead of time. However I was advised that paying for Visa and IHF before fund maturity on Statement of Account is a serious red flag that could affect my chances of getting VISA. Please how true is this?

Last i checked...tier 4 visa was one year plus normal 4months the give you to look for job...

The 2 years post study visa is somwtjing you have apply for separately...the four months is free...but u have to pay for the IHS since its less than 6months thats why its 235£

Once you are sure of your 28 days statement, you can start your visa application and even book biometrics ahead since there are no earlier dates again.

NB you might have to choose assisted service instead of self service since your POF wouldn’t be ready when filling the application

As soon as your POF matures, apply for CAS, if your school hasn’t given you already. Thereafter, visa application. At this stage, you are early enough for Sept but don’t relax keep going after everyone that has what you need (School especially) and hope n pray they issue your CAS ASAP

I already have my CAS.... It was given to me immediately after the school confirmed my Initial deposit of £2,000.

My delay is just the maturity of POF which is 13th July.

Not sure of Abuja office but the issue is, there is MAD rush for IOM services in 9ja by Sept n Jan intakes and also add Canadian travellers to the list. So, doing an online booking don’t usually work for all (just few).
And one thing you can be sure of is that they will attend to everyone but just that you as an individual have to ensure your schedule and when you need the certificate is not hampered by this rush

Yes physically booking @ their offices is the way forward especially during rush seasons (September n January intakes)
So, from now till January 2023, one should book @ their offices nationwide otherwise, OYO is person’s case

Good morning all. Please, I don't know if this is the right channel to do this, I want to make few enquiries about UK student visa.

I'm about to start the whole process but my International passport expires next month, July. My passport has issue of date of birth, I never mind all these years. Since I want to start student UK visa process now, I want to know if the issue of wrong date of birth on the passport won't have any negative effect. I have correct date of birth on my WAEC result which I intend to use for the school admission. It is only year of birth that has issue on the passport, the day and month are correct.

Gurus in the house that have gone through this process or have similar experience, I need your advise.

Your passport expires next month, and you are yet to apply for admission.
It simply means that the passport must have expired before you get CAS and you would not be able to use it for VISA application.

Why not renew the passport and use the opportunity to correct the mistake on date of birth ?

Yea saw this ...they are all transitioning to this platform. Saves them the stress of being blacklisted by the embassies if statements can't be verified easily and in a faster manner.

University of Plymouth.... You will need to pay only £2,000 to be given CAS.

At the appointment evidence of payment will be requested for.

So please ensure payment is made before your appointment as it validates it. Otherwise you will go all the way to IOM and return without doing your TB test
