yMcy56: While I may not totally get what you mean by implication, I however think this is what you're trying to ask:
The information implies that "IF you're interested in collecting those dividend amounts, you need to buy the stocks and have them in your portfolio until the QUALIFICATION DATE to be qualify for it. * If you buy after Qualification Date, you won't be eligible to collect it. * The dividend multiply by your total quantities will be the amount to receive on PAYMENT DATE.
Thereafter, you may sell it or leave it if you're a long term investor. You can be buying more as the prices goes down to increase you holdings/quantities for better future dividends or price appreciation. Please what is your impression about the Omatek result |

DrAkpamudehe:
I reentered the UBA shares at 21.50 as I knew it was a temporary opportunity Lucky you. Many bottom price seekers saw it but rather than dive in, they were waiting for bigger bottom. This year's dividend payments may be chop and clean mouth, meaning prices may recover a day or two after mark down. Watch out |

Bottom price seekers saw bottom prices in DS/NS but they could not recognise it. Same scenerio is playing out in most other tickers currently. Eventually, they will have no other choice than to buy at much higher cost out of FOMO |

yMcy56: NASCON is a buy from my own amateur perspective ooo. *DD applies*
If it's true that a special dividend of N5.18k is declared and is confirmed, investors may likely rush it. That's my opinion. * Bonus of 2:100 already mentioned in the FY report. It's the special dividend that still needs confirmation*
As for DANGSUGAR, one entity is currently offloading @50 in market.......or maybe it's cross deals sha, I don't know. Please what do you know about the NASCON special dividend controversy? Any other source apart from nairametrics? If it was an error by nairametrics, I'm surprised it has not been corrected up till now. |

Another way of looking at this Transcorp issue...
Should an investor who rode Transcorp from 1, 2 or even 3 naira all the way to 14 naira complain too much, considering how much return on investment within such a short period?
They can complain but not too much. All they need do is pray for opportunity to run with their profit if they so choose on Monday morning. |

Streetinvestor2: Thr can't be any government worse than pmb.If you ever lived in the North or ever met Mb you will realise he was among the worst military officers from the North in all standard,IQ is zero..I am labour all the way and last election was the first time i voted in my life. Then, besides the baggies hanging on balablu shoulders. He is street cradle,an intelligent man,a survivalist for him to go from grass to the present position . He was able to manipulate his way both local and international ....that mean your brain over sharp, lol
Next election may not be this workover of the last one.He must bring positive card to the table or naija may burn.I expect election reform to block some loopholes seen in the last one. Naija will definitely be better. All projection are pointing towards that.oil is already hitting 1.5 million barrels a day. I agree with you absolutely. Tinubu with all his baggages is still far better than Buhari. Nothing can be as bad as Buhari. He was a disaster. I wonder what those who voted him in 2015 were thinking. However, any fair minded person would agree with me that Peter Obi would have been best in the current situation. |

yMcy56: Exactly! It's from speculators, those FX/Binance guys and hoarders. The CBN is to blame. The so called speculators are only taking advantage of the situation. Once the CBN does its job by making the dollar available in all or most of the official channels, then speculation will die a natural death. But if the CBN creates scarcity of the dollar, then it will give room for speculation. Nature abhors vacuum. |
