It was. Investors didn't pull out even during the election, which is the height of political instability. As soon as results were announced (a result which went against all common sense) everybody pulled out their money and invested in South Africa.

CBN done pump money enter stock market to quell the obvious tension. Save this comment, there will be a massive downward spiral in a few months, u can't fill your store with empty cartons of indomie and be forming 'Mega Indomie Depot'. Hmmm,
It is gross ignorance to term any critic of the government as an opposition.
Your type make it difficult for anyone to be a patriotic Nigerian.
A patriotic Nigerian criticizes any government that doesn't do the right thing.

"If it is PDP, we will still criticise, but if they don't want to be criticised, they should leave and go to Daura. In as much as they are on top of the seat, they should get ready for criticism,” he declared.
You see that?

Every government needs activists, we all should be activists. But NO, some brain-dead idiotic timid supporter of the government believes you must lick the government's ass. I hope your tongue get stuck in the asshole

InvestmentUSSD Banking Disable Code, For Emergency. by Ijaycool(op): 3:00pm On Mar 01, 2019
In case of emergency, eg you lose your phone, or you are in a situation where you think your mobile USSD banking may be compromised, you can quickly disable all USSD banking with a simple code from any phone.

*426*911#

This disables all your USSD banking irrespective of the bank.

The only problem is...

You can disable anybody's USSD banking as long as you know their phone number. This is very dangerous as it doesn't demand password only phone number. Please whoever has a way to contact the banks should let them know that it is a whole new problem!

BusinessNigeria Stock Market Loses N85bn After Presidential Results by Ijaycool(op): 1:29pm On Feb 27, 2019
The market capitalisation of listed equities on Tuesday shed N85 billion in six hours of trading to what traders attributed to profit taking as a result of the presidential poll.

Specifically, the market capitalisation, which opened at N12.194 trillion, shed N85 billion or 0.69 per cent to close at N12.109 trillion.

Also, the All-Share Index lost 226.30 points or 0.69 per cent to close at 32,473.82, compared with 32,700.12 recorded on Mond

Ambrose Omordion, the Chief Operating Officer, InvestData Ltd., attributed the market pullback to profit taking embarked by some smart investors.

.

Mr Omordion said the smart money that pushed the market up with expectations that the opposition would win the presidential election were leaving the market

He said some investors who entered the market in anticipation that the opposition economic policy and reforms would support market growth were taking profit ahead of earnings season.

“This pullback may not last as a result of 2019 dividend declaration season as dividend yield of financial service stocks are high and attractive due to low prices,” Mr Omordion stated.

Nestle dominated the losers’ chart, dropping by N70 to close at N1,510 per share.

Union Bank of Nigeria trailed with a loss of 60k to close at N6.65, while FBN Holdings was down by 30k to close at N8 per share.

Conversely, Guinness led the gainers’ table during the day, gaining N2.05 to close at N67.15 per share.

Dangote Flour followed with a gain of N1 to close at N12.05, while Oando gained 65k to close at N7.25 per share.

Air Services added 60k to close at N7.05, while Africa Prudential increased by 44k to close at N4.84 per share.

A breakdown of the activity chart indicates that the volume of shares traded rose by 46.57 per cent with an exchange of 322.18 million shares worth N2.43 billion in 4,066 deals.

69% of Buhari's voters in 2015 were the poor and illiterate masses.

Discovering this, Buhari made more people poor and illiterate so as they can be easily fooled. So he will get more voters in 2019.

If you are educated and you are supporting Buhari, either you don't deserve the education or you are an N-Power beneficiary.

No reasonable educated person will mortgage 4 years for 30,000.

Doesn't it bother you that:
1. Buhari campaigns with 'We will' after 4 good years.
2. Buhari says the only reason we should not vote Atiku is that he is corrupt, Tinubu, Amaechi, Ngigi and all the pilots of Buhari's govt are they less corrupt?

I think it will be unprofessional for a partizan mod to take undue advantage of this forum.

The arguments of some to claim the authenticity of this document is

1. It looks professional: But all you really need for a document to look professional is a template, then u edit figures. I will post a link (trying to upload it to Dropbox) to a similar report, looks like where this one was copied from.

2. The stat looks believable: Even before the fake report topics trying to guess party's stronghold were already seen on Nairaland, and almost all posts tends towards same stats. meanwhile, before the Ogun campaign, APC was billed to get a massive 87% from Ogun, well Amosun doesn't think same.

3. The MS Word version shows author's name: which kind mumu proof be that? In less than 26 seconds I can change the author, location and document date of any document with my phone. Simple; unpack the XML files that make up the .docx file (by renaming file extension from .docx to .zip) then edit documents' metadata then repack. Yet a whole topic was created claiming that was a proof of authenticity.

SportsPeterborough United's Director Suspended From Football For Betting by Ijaycool(op): 6:22pm On Jan 31, 2019
Peterborough United's director of football Barry Fry has been suspended from football until 1 March after accepting a Football Association charge of breaching betting rules last season.

The 73-year-old was also fined £35,000 after Wednesday's independent hearing.

The League One club say Fry bet on a Posh player to finish as the division's top scorer and for Posh to be promoted.

He was given a four-month ban from 1 February, but with three months of those suspended for a two-year period.

In August 2014, the FA made it illegal for anyone involved in football - from players and managers, to the match officials and club staff - from betting on all matches.

Fry is a former manager of English Football League clubs including Birmingham City, Southend United and Peterborough, who are sixth in the third-tier table
CrimeNigerian Footballing Brothers Jailed In The UK For Defrauding Children's Charity by Ijaycool(op): 8:37pm On Jan 30, 2019
Three brothers from a known sporting family have been jailed for siphoning cash from their foundation, UK's National Crime Agency said.

Ex-footballers Efe Sodje, 46, and Stephen Sodje, 43, and ex-rugby player Bright Sodje, 51, were found guilty of diverting cash from the Sodje Sports Foundation (SSF) set up in 2009 to help children in Nigeria's oil-producing Niger Delta region.

They were jailed for 18, 21 and 30 months respectively by a judge at the Central Criminal Court in London in 2017.

The NCA said the brothers used their status and business connections to garner support and donations but failed to remit the funds to the charity.

The brothers used around £63,000 raised from charity events between 2011 to 2014 for their own gain, according to the NCA.

They organized charity football matches and black-tie dinners over the period to raise funds, but none of it got to the children, the agency said on its website.

Donors also sent around £34,000 to their accounts.
The brothers' 2017 convictions can only now be reported after a judge lifted reporting restrictions on the case after a verdict was reached in a criminal trial against another of the brothers -- former Premier league footballer Okeremute 'Sam' Samuel.
Sodje, 39, was tried alongside his brothers but was cleared in the initial 2017 trial.

He was later prosecuted in a separate money laundering trial which ended on January 14 this year, the agency said.

The Sodjes are a family of 11 siblings born in Greenwich, southeast London to Nigerian parents, according to UK media reports.

Efe played professional football for several clubs in the UK and represented the Nigerian national team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
"Bright, Efe and Stephen Sodje promoted themselves as generous, community-minded, figures when they were knowingly defrauding people who thought they were helping deprived children in Nigeria,"

NCA deputy director Chris Farrimond said in a statement.

The NCA said its financial investigators revealed the movement of money in and out of the foundation to establish "there was no charitable purpose" for most of the foundation's existence.
The NCA worked with the UK's Charity Commission to secure the prosecutions against the three brothers.

Another Sodje brother, Akpo, is still wanted in connection with the fraud charges.
The NCA said he fled the UK during the investigation and an arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Why on earth must upgrades be sent from hardware manufacturers instead of via the OS?

Concentrate on perfecting the Nexus hardware, make it affordable, then send out update to devices via OS.

Anytime new OS version comes out, Samsung and co will release new phones with a little +1 bump-up on camera mega pixel. Same old shit with new price cux it now has a new OS version.
