Levels of incompetence and cruelty.
Already reversed this HIV order days after putting it out.
In any other company whoever put this order out without doing a comprehensive study as to its ramifications would have been fired.

This is the same person that people say would have done a better job getting out of Afghanistan.
The cognitive dissonance is always a sight to perceive.

Corruption.

You know that won't happen.

My heart goes out to all the families on this DC flight.
Flown to this area/airport often.
Kind of unnerving that this could happen given all the technology we have at our beckon now.
We need a top down investigation as to what happened to prevent it from happening again.
Unfortunately I don't think this administration is up to the task.

But I hope everyone is reminded how necessary the Federal Employees and some of the regulations we have are.
It's easy to demonize the Federal govt and what it does until something like this happens and it becomes clear their necessity, the neccessity of competent leadership and what a failure somewhere in that bureaucracy means.

You know the above I stated and most of his EOs got the required backlashes and even the media hounding too, so why will something that pushes far towards a direction not be extreme to the other side?

What do you see as extreme? Only what doesn't go towards the direction of your party?

It is obvious that you will never see anything wrong with the Dems policies which is your right and that is ok, so how do you want the GOP guys here to see anything with Trump's policies?

This place will never be a thread for discussion and learning because both sides have one aim, to argue to win instead of a discourse to learn and grow.
Let me be blunt.
I think these posts with you demonstrated what I was talking about.
You came here to say that something was extreme but when giving the opportunity to explain why, you couldn't.
It was glaringly obvious esp. with your Keystone example.

The media has been captured by right wing propaganda to such a degree that people hear the same phrases over and over, internalize them and don't even spend time trying to understand them for themselves.
I'm not saying it's your fault, but that is exactly what you just did.

That's why Basilico can write pages of pages of nonsensical posts filled with half truths and lies because he really doesn't understand 1/4 of the things he writes because he treats the nonsense he gets from Right Wing propaganda as truth.

I don't fall into the trap of the terminology, right, left, center. I don't think being moderate is being in the middle of Liberals and Conservatives.
I think you should figure out your morals/values, study each issue and then put your values towards them.

The problem for the US and this thread, people are no longer studying the issues, just ranting based on propaganda they heard. And it's usually the Trumpers.
You can't spend your time lying about living in the US, or doing a 180 reversal on your position of who you think Trump was and then want to pretend you want to have an intellectually honest conversation.

I think your thesis statement is wrong.

I hope you know there's a clear difference between legal and illegal immigrants.
So many Nigerians go to the US legally.
Unlike people who cross the Mexican border.
US has an asylum law.
If someone crosses the border "illegally" and asks for asylum, they are therefore in the US legally until their case is heard and denied.
The problem is that it takes around 4 years and they are released into the US until it is adjudicated because there are so many people applying.
Laws are laws.

I could not buy one from Pure Talk. Anywhere you find one, you are most likely getting a refurbished unit, and I don't want that. if it is $0 I would be paying for slightly more expensive data, not the phone. I could handle that. I don't think Pure Talk sells refurbished phones too. Find me a brand new one and I may buy it. but I doubt you would see anyone that is not refurbished.

purchase a phone from anywhere that is out of production? how long has it been on the shelf?
puretalk does not carry it. I would rather get it from them at $0 or upgrade to the S24.
I got my S24 from Best Buy during the black Friday sales.
whats your point old man?
So before was you couldn't buy one, now it's you didn't want the phone. An out of production phone would be out of production if you bought it from Ebay or PureTalk.
So you didn't care if it was an out of production phone as long as it was 0? Gotcha.

Did you not see the LGBTQ and there alphabets being placed above everyone? Their flags and whatever they are were made more important than everything and everyone else? The last Olympics and other LGBTQ issues in the US were placed on top of every other person. Don't get me wrong, I do not care about what grown adults care to do with their lives and how they choose to live, I only care about someone trying to force it down my throat.

Can we also talk about children allowed to make such delicate choices about their gender when they cannot be allowed to vote?

Be honest. The border policy of Biden and the lackadaisical attitude of whoever was made the Czar was so bad that even certain questionable people were allowed to flock into the US. There were so many innocent fellows, the criminals, however, who came in and did some crime were caught and let almost too easily to walk free. What do you expect them to do if not to whisper to their fellows across the border that they can also come in and nothing would be done.

I was told to take the COVID 19 vaccine at work that year, I refused. I told them that if all of them take the vaccine then they should be safe from me. Have you forgotten that so many people who had opposing views and reservations were bullied by the system?
What about how the media, including meta and others were told to block opposing views on their platforms. I mean, does anyone need to argue about the extreme nature of the administration towards whoever spoke against the vaccine mandate? People who didn't want to take vaccines lost their jobs in the military and other institutions both private and public.

I understand you support the Dems, but not seeing anything wrong with everything they do isn't how it should be.

Like I told someone the other day, I used to be liberal leaning but there were things I wasn't comfortable with that made me mute myself from conversations here for 2 years or so.

Trump has continued his extreme policies, how do you expect raum, been and co to condemn him when you never saw anything wrong with all of Biden' policies?

Ignore any typos in the writeup, I clocked out from my shift and haven't gone to bed yet.
Listen, because you don't agree with a policy doesn't make it extreme. It does sound like you are making comparisons in isolation.

You talked about the LGBTQ policy, but didn't name a Biden policy. Because it wasn't his policy. I disagree with the Transgender pronoun push. But, I also think everyone no matter who they are deserves the freedom to live and not be discriminated against. So, how do you marry those things as a leader?

You spoke about Keystone, but didn't talk about why it was extreme. Because it wasn't. Keystone wouldn't have had any effect on gas prices. It was just a delivery pipeline. We still get the same oil delivered other ways. The debate was, was the incremental gain from the Pipeline worth the cost of health hazards and environmental issues in the land it ran over. There has been a lot of scholarship on this. It wasn't.

You spoke about vaccines. But again, there are vaccine mandates for children. Why was this one different? Because it was politicized. Simple as that. How can something that we are mandated to get for other things like Polio be extreme?

Even Biden's border policy. There was no real difference in Biden's policies from Bush or Obama and even Trump first tem. The influx of immigrants was more because issues in the countries they came from post covid and the shutdown of the border because of the Covid emergency. The issue is the asylum law that needs to change, something the Republicans haven't wanted to do because it is a good campaign issues. Biden didn't want to bend the law, Trump had the Covid emergency order his 1st term and doesn't seem to care about laws this second term (he's even been deporting legal asylum seekers). What you consider extreme is Biden trying to manage the situation given the tools the law allowed him. For me that's not extreme.

Extreme is pardoning convicts who tried to overthrow the election at the Capital
Extreme was the abortion ban
Extreme is lying about an election being stolen.
And you know how these things were Extreme, they haven't happened before in the history of our nation.

I understand the desire to both sides everything. But how does that help in understanding any situation?

I'll name a few.

His climate change initiatives were extreme. The repeal of the keystone XL pipeline permit.

LGBTQ .

Border security policies.

COVID-19 Vaccine mandate.
Why was the repeal of Keystone extreme?
What was his LGBTQ policy and why was it extreme?
What was the difference between his border policies compared to Obama, Trump and even Bush sr, and why was it extreme?
Why was the Covid-19 vaccine mandate extreme given Us children have to get other vaccines to even register for school?

So much rubbish in these posts.
1.) Most if not all 4G/5G phones are compatible with all the carriers even MVNOs. There are some MVNOs that are difficult with whitelisting certain phones but Puretalk seems to be pretty open.
So, You could have purchased a S10 from anywhere and brought it to Puretalk.
2.) Puretalk seems to finance at 0% interest. So, you would have saved nothing by supposedly buying that Samsung S24 Ultra directly from them.

You keep trying to pretend you live in the US by obviously making up things you have no clue about.
Do you ever get embarrassed by all these lies you tell?

This is the problem with the Nigerian government. A NIGERIAN airline had a problem and what you do is immediately suspend operations, while United Airlines had a problem last week, and because it's American, they left it to continue operating. Is that the way to do things? Why stop all their planes from operating for 3 months because of a single non-fatal accident? Wetin concern tire blowing with 3 months suspension for an airline with 10 Planes ?

Will they do the same thing if the airline was owned by their tribesman? Has air peace been suspended during any of their various mishaps?

Even in the USA, Delta and United had issues earlier this month, yet the government did not disrupt business by banning them. They will end up destroying the Nigerian airline industry like they have destroyed everything else.
Please don't ever compare the US regulatory system with that of Nigeria again.
You should be happy they did this.
